      Wine was good, palatable.
Sangria was pretty good, I enjoyed a couple glasses.

The vino vino sampler had a selection of cheese, meats, bread, crostinis, and some jam, honey and olives to enjoy. It was a good variety but not enough over dinner so we ordered a mushroom panini and a Crème brûlée as well! It could've been better, not the greatest but I wouldn't necessarily come back, unless I wanted to try more wines or different stuff on the menu.

I'll come back and give it another shot! Staff was nice! Cute for a date night though!

Went here on a date, and the date picked it out. Upon entering the decor was nice.

Only got wine, and had ordered a Rose, but got served a white... I sucked it up, and didn't say anything.

      Just thought it was strange.

I cannot rate the food because no one ever came over to take our order. I am actually very happy about that because Tao Tao Chinese restaurant was fabulous as usual.
So, I had a reservation for 6pm. I showed up 5:45. The place was completely empty except for one couple in the back of the place. I walked over to a staff member and said I had a 6pm reservation and headed to the restroom. When I cMe out, I sat at a table by the front door. And waited for my (online) date to arrive. 20 minutes passed and the servers did not attempt to bring me water or ask me if I wanted anything. If I wasn't waiting for someone, I would have walked out. I finally walked up to the bar where they had prefilled reuseable water bottles. I asked them if the water was self serve sonce no one came over to ask me if I wanted anything. My date shows up and we talked for another 20 minutes and still no service. Of it was not a 1st date, I would have been rude AF. Instead, I flag the guy down and we order a glass of wine. We had a great time and the date conversation fabulous. We talked for another hour and still no one came back to see if we wanted food. So a couple hours later, the kitchen was about to close and then they decided to come over and ask if we wanted food. Seriously? This was so far from what I experienced here 5 years ago.
It all makes sense why this place was completely empty. With this type of lack of service, I can understand why the place was empty. Oh and in this 2.5 hour conversation with my date, only one other couple came in. So that is horrible for a Friday night.
We picked up our umbrellas and walked next door to Tao Tao. This place had no problem bringing in people on a super rainy Friday Night. It is also possible that the younger crowd is at the new Tipsy putt a block away enjoying cocktails and great food. I'll be there tomorrow so you can count on another review for them.
Last, my date went well cause be are meeting up again tomorrow.

      Proof I had a reservation.
The place was empty and there was no reason for this horrible service.

Came here during the afternoon for a quick snack and catch up with friends. We got the wine flight with some bruschetta and a bread platter. The bruschetta was lovely, while the bread platter felt a bit stale and not fresh.

As for the wine flight, our server was kind and recommended us lots of options depending on what we preferred. Our favorite was the sangria, probably because it was nice and chilled!

If you're in the area, it's a nice place to grab a drink and a bite.

For a place called Vino Vino, the wine is just okay. I have never had a single wine here that I loved.

But here's what I do love: their happy hour, the chill, unpretentious vibe, the location, good service, and relatively good food. Don't underestimate this small establishment. They have more than just charcuterie! Try their pasta, ahi tuna salad, bruschetta, dessert...they are all great.

Quick tip: the staff is lovely here. You can ask for a splash of something before you commit to a full glass. They actually have many wines on tap, so it's very easy!

Just ask for 2-3 to taste at a time so you don't waste their time making multiple trips. Chances are, you won't like the first 1-2 you try.

Also, if you happen to hate all of them and want to taste more, make sure to tip extra :)

All in all, I know I complained about the wine but really - this is a very cute place to meet your friends, go on a date, or have a chill glass while people watching.

I'm not a wine connoisseur by any means, but I'm hoping to build my experiences with them and taste more. I came with a party of two on a Tuesday evening. We opted to sit outside because it a bit empty inside, and it was a nice evening out.

I loved having the wine flight here, and I especially loved the Lost Weekend red blend and Mercury Rising red blend. I also ordered the funghi pasta which was very okay. It did have its moments, and I liked that they used fresh pasta which was chewier, but overall it was rather bland. It almost tasted like they didn't season the pasta water. Next time, I'd probably try their charcuterie boards for food.

Came by for an afternoon wine and chill and decided to try this place. The spot is neat, clean with friendly and welcoming staff. Plenty of parking in the area so it wasn't difficult to find a spot. Tried their sangria and rose' selections and it was quite nice paired it with a charcuterie board which was made fresh and with delicious varieties. Will definitely return again for sure.

First of all the server had no clue on any wines they serve. Did not know any prices on the bottles. I'm not a wine snob but the Cab Franc on tap was not great. The only wines they serve per glass is on tap and they serve it in a stemless glass. Bruschetta wasn't ok. I'll give the server 5 stars cause he was polite but clueless and that is management.

Seeing this place listed on Yelp's "cheese" restaurant list and looking at the nice menu online I was excited to try it. It was not what I was hoping for.

The ambiance is dirty industrial. The lighting tries for intimate but comes off harsh. There are pretty much only hi-top tables. Smells like old mop.

Several items we asked for from the menu were not available, which was disappointing.

I had a wine flight. One of the wines was not what I ordered.

On the smoked salmon crostini the salmon was tasty, and the bread crispy, but the cheese had zero flavor. There was a dab of nice pesto that had a complimentary flavor, but was too small.

On my wife's panini the fig jam was nice, but the brie could not be tasted. We could see it, but no taste.

I had the pecorino pasta. The flavor was good, but the pasta was gluey and there was no pepper.

The prices were consistent with a higher end experience.

Vino Vino is a nice wine bar in downtown Sunnyvale. Pretty good experience here last night. I had a glass of the Pinot gris here. Was meeting a friend & he lives in Sunnyvale, so suggested checking out this spot. Fairly light crowd for a Friday night. This location is good for people watching though, right in the heart of the downtown strip. They have TV's for watching sports. And a nice selection of local wines from Napa, Russian River, etc. I would return if I were in the area, but wouldn't go out of my way to stop by Vino Vino. I think this is the only wine bar in the Murphy St. area though. Service could also be better-- the server forgot our waters and I had to remind him. Enjoy!
