Vino Rosso was amazing to us! My husband, sister, brother-in-law, and I visited on a Thursday night around 10:30pm. We were greeted immediately and my sister and I started to peruse the wine selection. They had local wines, as well as a good variety of wines from the west coast (mostly CA). My sister and I both got a nice Red. They were poured for us and brought to where we were seated, which was a nice comfy couch in front of a fireplace. My husband and brother-in-law ordered beer, which they had a nice selection of too. The atmosphere was really nice and warm. When it came time for our second drink, I noticed we were the only ones in the bar, so I asked the server if they were closing and if we should finish up. She nicely said no, they were not. At that same time I was greeted by a man who was sitting with the servers. He said he was the owner and that as long as there were people to serve, they would stay open. At this I said thank-you and he didn't have to stay open on account of us, but he recognized that we were all very much enjoying our visit there and that they were in no hurry to leave anyways :) He was more than nice, so I bought a bottle of Cinder White Zin for our party. I highly recommend this wine. So good. The owner also came over a short time later to talk to us and ask us how our wine was.
I did not have any of their food, so I cannot review that. The server did say that they have live music sometimes too :) I highly recommend this place! I was more than impressed with their attitude and priories (the costumers!)
Thanks for the outstanding experience Vino Rosso!! -

Vino Rosso is a great place to go have some wine and listen to music. It's a very chilled place. I just saw Andy Frasco & the UN there, and the place was hopping! They have a great selection of wine and beers, so there is something there for every taste.
They had a wine tasting the night I went and I really wished it was more information. I felt that the server just slapped the wine on the table and was like "here. you drink!". Also a pallet cleanser, like crackers or bread would be nice to have with the wine. I feel that should be included in the wine tasting instead of buying an over priced munchy dish. Which brings this review to the Anti Pasta dish. It was okay... The cheese was good, roasted garlic good, and then there was the whole diced tomato on toast thing, which seemed slapped on straight from whatever container it came from. This plate was way over priced, no getting around it. I would not order it again. I would be interested in trying another dish but for $15 a pop, I expect more deliciousness and uniqueness.
Overall there is no other place like Vino Rosso in town, so it's worth a look if you are downtown. -

I love writing Yelp reviews while buzzed at the place I'm writing about. Because that means a) they have wireless internet and, more importantly, b) they serve alcohol. I had been looking forward to checking out Vino Rosso as soon as I found out I was going to Idaho Falls, and I'm happy to say it did not disappoint!
This is my second visit, both on Wednesdays, for their $10 wine tasting. Last week it was some region of Italy, this week it's an area of France featured through five pours of good-to-great wines.
It's mostly an older crowd, and as the night goes on, it becomes a loud crowd. That's a good thing, since there's nothing more creepy than a dead-quiet bar.
I haven't had any of the food, but I'll say it all looks tasty and fresh. And even when you're not a local, everyone is super nice and chatty. My only issue is that when it's crowded, service can take a while. The solution to this problem: order your next drink about 10 minutes before you actually think you should, ensuring a constant stream of alcohol pumping through your trial-worn body. -

During my three weeks in Idaho Falls, this became my relax and unwind spot after long days in court. Vino Rosso is a wine bar/shop located in downtown that also serves select beer and food.
It's a huge space with an open restaurant area, quiet seating nooks, live entertainment, an outdoor patio, wireless internet, food, bar seating and an incredible selection of wine for sale -- the kind of place you would expect to find in a larger city, but are pleasantly surprised to find in Idaho Falls.
The folks behind the counter are neither snotty nor pushy, characteristics sadly common with many wine bars, and skillfully match your tastes to a wine you will enjoy. Be sure to ask about wines on the "back shelf." These bottles of wine were opened in the past day or two and are served by the glass at very drink-friendly prices.
Each day I'd arrive between 3 and 5 to find a mixed crowd -- some business meetings, some getting off from work and coming for a glass of wine, some meeting friends for drink. No matter what, there were always good conversations to be found at the bar.
I ordered the fruit and cheese plate several times -- the cheese is sliced and the fruit cleaned and cut right in front of you. Be sure to stop by on Thursdays, as there are flight wine tastings for about $10. This seems to be the social event of the week -- the place is packed for the tastings. -
