Great wings and thin crust pizza.

Daily specials and good draft beer for fair prices.

Good food .... Love the place , have to give them a 3 Starr because of there bar tender ... She paid no attention to me what so ever , rolled her eyes when I asked to see the menu ... And stood in the corner trying to flirt with the single guys while paying no attention to anyone who where couples, or single girls. Shes white , really small with  long brown hair .. I didn't get her name . other than that it's a good lye back bar .

This is a hidden gem in Springdale. I think people are put off by somewhat shady-looking exterior- it shares a shopping center with a laundromat and liquor store. Don't let its appearance deter you.

Inside you'll find a U-shaped bar on the left, which is occupied by blue collar locals who watch sports, and a small restaurant on the right. The restaurant walls are covered with pictures of celebrities who have supposedly autographed their headshots for Vinny. It's not exactly a fine dining experience but there's a lot to look at. The waitresses and bartenders are friendly and the food is surprisingly good. They make a great thin-crust pizza that's unique to others in the area and they have the best wings in Stamford, in my opinion.

It's open til 2 most nights (unusual for Stamford) so it's a great place to hit to end the night.

The one and only reason I have been here then  (or in the future) was bcz of the pizza. It's good. Its thin. It's good.
The bar has a following of local blue collar guys watching sports .....but family's eat on the restaurant side.
    Private parking.

I like Vinny's Backyard... except for the fact that I feel like the needle comes off the record when I walk in.  I'm sure that this place is great if you're a regular, other than that, it's a bit awkward.

The pizza is good, but there are many better options in Stamford.  I'm sure that the BBQ is good, but I have a slanted opinion after having eaten at some of the best BBQ joints in TX... so I'm not the best person to give you an opinion on that.

I changed my mind about the wings.. they ARE mind blowing.

And now after the Fireside burned down (RIP) they've added the Fireside faves to the Vinny's menu, JUST as I suggested they do! So now Vinny's is the go to place for ribs as well...

Vinny's Backyard Restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside.  Located in a strip mall on Hope St., sandwiched between a CVS and a drycleaners, it's not exactly prime real-estate.  Fortunately, Vinny's is right around the corner from my house, and I've been there enough times to try  most of the menu, and experience the vibe there at night too.

As a restuarant, Vinny's serves up some of the best thin crust pizza in Stamford.  I recommend the hot oil as a topping.  They also have decent wings, especially the General Tso and Chipotle flavors.  There is no shortage of cute bartenders and good company, and there's a different bar special every weeknight, which is usually a beer and food combination for under $10.  There's also waiter service on the side of the restaurant.

As a bar, you'll find a small upper 20's and 30's crowd on weeknights.  On Fridays and Saturdays, you can expect the relatively small bar to be pretty full.  They have a full bar, including wine, 6 or so beers on tap, plenty of bottles, and liquor as well.

    Try it for yourself!

My boyfriend lives right down the street from here so when his parents came to visit, his father's loved this place so we came here.  I ordered a pizza with mushrooms (some of my most recent reviews will reflect that I've been on somewhat of a mushroom kick of late lol).  I have to admit that although the service was not the best, the food was at least decent.  Not my favorite place but since my bf's father enjoys it I'd go back.  The prices are quite good for what you're getting.

I have only sat in the restaurant part on a random time during a sunday so I can't really comment on the crowd or the bar scene.... there was quite the amount of catholic decorations as well as tons of pics of famous people.  Cute, inexpensive and a good place to go on a random night when you want to go out but dont want to do a chain or spend a lot of money.

    Hi All,

I live around the corner from this bar/restaurant.  Have been there numerous times.  The restaurant side was impressive- other than the too religious 'art' on the walls.  Food and service were  above average.

However, I frequent the bar more than the restaurant.  The bar is a great place to watch NFL package.  I would give this place 4 stars...EXCEPT.... some of the worst bar tender service I have ever experienced.  i sat at the bar for over 20 minutes upon entry and bar tenders just look past you and never asked to take your order.  I had to waive my arms frantically to get a drink.  Now I understand...a very little bit... that when it is busy, this happens.  But this happens REGULARLY, and when there are 5 people at the bar or 40 people.... just awful bar tending. I hate to generalize...but i experience this different times and different bar tenders.   There was one bartender that was very good... but she may not work there anymore..or i haven't seen her on Sundays.  I actually stopped going here for Sunday football, because I like to have more than 1 beer served to me per half without getting my flight landing gear out to waive down the bartenders.

Now the food at the bar- above average- not the greatest, but bearable- little heartburn afterwards!  The personal pizzas are very good... the wings are usually excellent (but i have had bad ones once or twice).

Overall..good place for drink/meal, but NOT a top place by any means.  One nice thing is that you can get food late- something rare for the Springdale area of Stamford.

Vinny's.... So much for so little! Really, you drive up and its a crummy restaurant-front in an even crummier strip-mall. I never would have stopped there if I wasn't going with friends! But, you walk in and you are greeted by booth seating to the right and a u-shaped bar on the left.  The bar is the place to sit.  The interesting mixture of patrons makes for great people-watching and the TVs plastered all over the walls makes for great sports-watching.  The drink prices aren't bad and the food is definitely better than most bar food! Go on Wednesdays for $0.20 wings or try the Salad Pizza (a favorite for most of my friends!) For dessert, I suggest the Rice Krispie pie. Enjoy!!

The food is pretty good for bar food, especially the think crust pizza.  Both food and drink are very affordable, however, the decor really needs an upgrade as it feels old.  Crowd is mostly Stamford locals, which may be good or bad depending on what you are looking for.

Inexpensive anything is tough to find in Stamford which makes Vinny's a hidden treasure for locals in Springdale. This neighborhood pub is reasonably priced and has a fairly large variety of foods and drinks.  I've only had the hot wings, which I'd rate as average.  My only complaint would be that the help, while super attractive, seem to be catering very heavily to the locals and not give the best service to people visiting in town such as myself.  For sports fans, they have TV's planted all over the place so you can catch your favorite team from just about any part of the circular bar.
