I've been here several times over the past few years with my ex. I'm doing this from memory, so forgive me.
I haven't ever experienced having to wait for a table there, but I believe my ex and I would go on random nights during the week. The atmosphere has always felt pretty casual and relaxed to me. Always playing almost annoyingly cliche Sinatra and classic Italian stereotypical songs.
Some times the staff has been nothing but awesome, other times not so much. Nothing super terrible or horror stories, but overall its been pretty average. The only experiences with their servers that stick out in my memory was a chick that flirted with my bf at the time way too much for comfort and a guy who was just WAYY to pushy when taking our order. I'm talkin so pushy that it was borderline nagging until my ex ordered it (memory escapes me what appetizer it was). Yet alot of other times we have gotten complimentary appetizers - antipasto, calamari, fried ravioli, mini meatballs. I might wanna mention that I was a fan of the sangria.
The entree portions are HUGE and substantial. The food there is good Italian, but honestly nothing super mind blowing. I will say to get the mini meatballs- they are pretty bangin. But watch the red (marinara) sauce there .... unless youre a fan of coping with Agita all night long. I also personally try to stay away from the Oreganata dishes also - always felt pretty greasy after dinner.
Pricewise, the entrees will run you from 15 to 20 each, and appetizers around 6 to 11ish. The portions are pretty big - big enough to share or pack up alot to go.
Vincent's is alright, but its unfortunately located in an area teeming with choices for restaurants and tucked in the corner of a shopping center that doesnt get much traffic. Usually when picking a place in the area for dinner, it doesnt come up as super high on the list.
I'd say its most comprable to Nick's Pizza in Rockville Center, except a bit bigger.
I want to give this place 4 stars, I really do...However, the waitress told me the "hot" sauce would be super hot and it was not. It was mild, at most.
Anyway. I also don't enjoy family-style seating. I was downing oysters with my mom for her birthday and the family next to us kept saying how gross they looked. 1) keep your food opinions to yourself and 2) why the hell am I sitting on top of these people?!
The service is good and rather fast. The portions are huge. They have a decent (not good) selection of beer. The oysters were fresh, the eggplant rollatini was okay at best.
I would come back again just to sit at the clam bar, personally.
We decided to it was time to try Vincent's Clam Bar after less than stellar experiences in the area (Cheesecake Factory http://www.yelp.com/bi... & Grand Lux Cafe http://www.yelp.com/bi...). That and I kept doing a voice that sounded a lot like Rachel Dratch in that skit with Jimmy Fallon where they're from Boston: "Welcome to Vincent's Clam Baaah!"
It's a nice restaurant---you feel like you're in an Italian restaurant, not Olive Garden, mind you! They give you really great bread (and if it was hot, even better!) with some herbs and oil. Oh, and it's a Pepsi restaurant...so if you're partial to Diet Coke, you've been warned.
Portions are huge! My fiance had the Caesar salad which was laaarge (guess they're competing with the "Fattery" and Lux so...); heavy on the dressing. I got the ravioli with red sauce---typically places don't give a lot of ravioli, but at Vincent's, they do. The drawback here was after I ate the first ravioli, what did I spy on my plate? Lo and behold! A HAIR!
I grabbed one of the wait staff walking by who may've been the general manager...he was very nice and apologetic---quick to remedy the situation. I kind of didn't even want to eat (Come on! Read my reviews and you'll see this is the umpteenth restaurant where I've had something happen to me!), but the ravioli were well cooked and enjoyable. The sauce is a bit on the sweet side.
Handicapped accessible, Vincent's can accomodate large parties. You should bring a jacket/sweater as it's pretty chilly in there. They have mouthwash available in the restroom (like Carmine's) and the bathroom was less than sweet smelling (read: STINK!).
I struggled rewriting this review because of my last experience with
this resteraunt,After the Vincents Management team found out about my herrific experience , they contacted me to correct the situation. I spoke to Steve the General Manager and he was professional and sincere about inviting me back to get a better chance to have a more positive experience. So I will be going back in about 2 weeks and I Thank Steven at Vincents for being so helpful.

I have been going to Vincents Clam Bar in long Island for many years and I always loved it...Really.… Read more »
VH and I happened to be at the Apple Store at the nearby Roosevelt Field mall on a Sunday, and decided to give Vincent's a try for lunch.
The decor is ok, kind of old school Italian-American, for good or bad (including bad American renderings of classic Italian songs). This place feels more like a family-oriented kind of restaurant than anything else. We decided to sit at the bar, since we didn't want to be forced to watch the football game that was all over the TVs in the main room.
I want to spend a few words talking about their home made bread, because it was a really wonderful surprise. It was served together with an olive oil, sun dried tomatoes, and rosemary dip that was simply delicious! That alone is a nice, simple, and very tasty way to start your meal. Given that their bread is so good, I wonder if their oven also makes a pizza that is up to par with the bread... (btw, an "Italian" restaurant that boasts a banner with "Neopolitan pizza" written on it is not going to impress me; quite a few Italian names/words on the menu are misspelled; being Italian, I find that rather sloppy and quite annoying).
We then shared the steamers and a goat cheese salad. The steamers were delicious: fresh and plump, simply prepared with just celery, butter and garlic. Perfectly cooked, full of flavor, no frills; the way I like them. I kept dipping my bread in their sauce. On the other hand, the salad was a bit disappointing: just a few crumbs of goat cheese, and too sweet a dressing.
Our waiter was attentive without being intrusive, which I always appreciate.
This is a tough one for me to write. I don't want to give this place a mere two stars. The decor, vibe and service at Vincent's are four or five star in my opinion. It's a great place to go with a group. By all appearances it's a nearly perfect Italian-American family restaurant. A classic red sauce joint, all the way down to the background music, featuring Italian-American classics from the 40's and 50's.
What's wrong at Vincent's? Well... it's the red sauce. When the sauce doesn't figure into the equation the food is pretty good here. I can recommend the pizza bianca, the seafood bisque and the fried calamari. The problem is that the red sauce is all over most of the menu, and it quite simply isn't good. Plates of perfectly cooked pasta are rendered inedible by overly generous application of a sauce that bears a striking resemblance to tomato paste (and not much else). You can order it spicy, then it's like tomato paste into which someone dumped an almost comical amount of crushed red pepper. Either way you lose. That's a shame, because Vincent's ought to be a winner.
So what can I say? How can I react to a red sauce joint where the red sauce itself is the Achilles' heel of the place? I have to be honest and give them two stars. The stars are for the service, the decor and the quality of the dishes that don't involve their famous red sauce. They even sell the sauce in jars, which is fitting, since it tastes like sauce from a jar.
I was visiting the NYC area for four days last month. I enjoyed Vincent's so much that I ended up eating there twice! My dinner on a Saturday night was a good old Chicken Parm. The sauce was quite good. The only complaint I could offer about the chicken was that it was a very large portion. It was cooked quite well. I don't remember what they called the dish (Chicken Scarpiello) I had for lunch the following Monday. It had chicken, italian sausage, and vegetables over pasta. It was stellar!
Definitely a fine Italian Restaurant! This was my first time there since I was craving for raw clams one night. I loved it there! From the family oriented atmosphere to their red sauce, I find it surprising how it would be rated less than four stars!
So the idea of a famous clam bar tucked away into a strip mall doesn't exactly titillate me, but I was willing to give a try. But then again, when in Long Island, do as Long Islanders do...frequent strip malls! My SO enjoys eating seafood, and perhaps, in his past lifetime, he was a sea creature, so genuinely...we were a bit curious. As soon as I walked in, I sort of groaned inside, I was thinking, oh man, not another cheesily-decorated Italian-American joint. But...they did have a raw bar, and we decided to sit there. This place was decent, I must admit. The salad was a bit disappointing, as they were extremely stingy with their goat cheese. The steamers were great though. Plump, and tasty ;-)
But...What was the most exciting part of the meal? The bread. Wow they can make a pretty mean panne!! We were told its homemade, but wow, oh wow! Warm, crusty on the outside, nice and soft on the inside and dusted with some sesame seeds and great to sop up their special olive oil (rosemary, sun-dried tomatoes) with.
Just go for the bread, I promise its that good ;-)
The food at Vincent's is OK. The only reason I come here is for their fried zucchini appetizers, which are pretty amazing. Still, nothing is THAT good to have to deal with the incompetent and rude waitstaff.
I called to make dinner reservations and the girl on the phone told me no reservations were necessary because there was no wait at the moment. I was a little dumbfounded that she thought I was making reservations for that exact minute. Anyways, I explained they were for later in the evening and that I had a party of 8. She took down my information and that seemed to have worked....
Until we arrived at the restaurant and hostess told us there would be a 30-45 minute wait. So, I explained we had a reservation and she said that what I did wasn't an actual reservation.. it was a "call-ahead". The "call-ahead" didn't get us a table any faster than if we had just walked in so what is the point of that??
This is not the first time that I've had a bad experience here but it will definitely be my last. It was my sister's birthday so instead of letting them ruin our evening, we left and went to Cheesecake Factory. There are PLENTY of good restaurants in that area so don't waste a meal by coming here.
Great Italian restaurant 5 minutes from my house.
One of the best on Long Island. Their sauce is flawless.
But be prepared, huge portions.

BEST ITALIAN RESTAURANT IN LONG ISLAND (or at least in Hempstead NY)!!!!
WOW. Huge portions!!! Chicken Marsala was excellent.
Only complaint- can we get some gelato on the menu!!??
I was visiting my brother in Syosset and he took us to Vincent's Clam Bar Restaurant. We were told it would be a 30 minute wait but it turned into an hour. It was completely worth it. I've had good Italian food but this was in a different league. I had the Chicken Cutlet Parmigiana (w/pasta) and my wife had the Calamari Parmigiana. Both came with a good serving of meat and pasta and served with a red sauce. (medium heat had a nice kick to it) Yes, you can get the sauces spicy if you'd like. Meals are served with fresh baked bread which is also excellent. Meals were less than $17 a piece. I will warn you that the place is very noisy so don't expect to hear how good the food is from your friends and family as they eat. We didn't get to the dessert but maybe next time. We will definitely be back when we visit NY again. Hint to the owners... There's a vacant store next to them... Vincents should buy up that property and expand!
Family took us here in Aug of 2007 and I LOVED this place. It's serves the best red sauce ever!! The menu is pretty extensive and there was an item known as Lobster Kiss. Tables around us had ordered it and it look delicious. However, Hubbs and I had the Frutta Di Mare (with the red sauce) and it was DELICIOUS--next visit, we'll be doing the Lobster Kiss for sure.
The ambiance here is also fabulous. We had gone on a Sunday evening and there was a band playing. The singer had a Sinatra way about him and one of my cousins and I couldn't get enough of the music. It happened to be our last meal together with the fam-bam and it was a truly memorable and awesome time.
Mark my words, anytime I will be visiting NY, I will be going to Vincent's. No question.
Apparently, I have this black cloud over my head that has the ability to take a restaurant that has a bunch of 5 stars and knock it down. This is annoyingly true for most restaurants in NY. Either that or these places just aren't that good.
We started off with some Arnold Palmers (iced tea mixed with lemonade) to wash down an appetizer of shrimp balls. The shrimp balls were basically shrimp meatballs and were really good, crispy on the outside and meaty on the inside. The sauce that went with it was a tasty marinara. It was a little on the sweet side, but that's how I like it. I ordered a bowl of clam chowder which was pretty good and full of clams. It wasn't as creamy as I would have liked but it was still good. The entrees were where thngs started getting disappointing. I ordered the Lobster kiss which was linguine with lobster, shrimp, pancetta, and scallops in a cream sauce. This was all prepared in tin foil. The seafood was pretty overcooked, especially the shrimp. My gf ordered the steamed seafood combo. Again, the seafood seemed to be overcooked, just really chewy. We finished off the meal with some creme brulee. The dessert was finished with a blow torch at the tableside to give it that burnt sugar coating. The problem with the dish though was that the custard was really gritty and just not all that good. Overall, the appetizers were good but the entrees definitely needed work. I felt that everything was really expensive especially for what I got. If I were to come back here, it would just be for appetizers.
The service started off good but then we were left to our own devices after the meal was served. In fact, the server put down our food, came back 30 seconds later to ask if everything was good, and that was the last we saw of him. No asking about drink refills or anything like that. If I'm paying 90 dollars for a meal, I expect the server to be like my shadow.
The restaurant didn't live up to the hype, but you can definitely make a meal just off of appetizers. Treat this place like a tapas place and you should be good to go.
This place takes me back & seems to have been here forever.. it remains a trendy fun place. First business lunch here back in 1987 when I was too young to be having a business lunch! haha My host /new boss ordered the shrimp marinara, I ordered the timid new person - salad.. and nibbled at lettuce.. ahhaha
There doesn't appear to be a Vincent anywhere in the kitchen... They are ready to accomodate a big crowd, and are somewhat assembly line. They are consistent & deliver a spicy sauce on perfectly cooked pasta....
Go for the shrimp & marinara over linquine... It has a nice bite to the peppery (medium) sauce. Mild will still get you quite a nippy sauce.
Go for lunch and be in and out in 40 minutes. Thats what I like to do here.. not to rush.. but it's not the long night out type of place.. it's more hustle & bustle likely because of it's location near two (one tremendous) malls, accross from some office buildings with a business crowd, a few miles down - mineola courts, and right near the criss cross of meadowbrook parkway & old country road.... So it's a go to place for consistancy & expediance and they deliver that always.
This used to be my favorite restaurant - anywhere. When my friends would visit me from out of town, this would be where I'd take them. I made it a point to try lots of things on the menu, but I'd always wind up reverting back to my old favorites: Manhattan Clam Chowder, Chicken Parmigiana with mild sauce, and baked clams oreganata.
About ten years ago or so, the place underwent a facelift, and the restaurant doubled in size. The rustic, "family" feel was gone, but the new digs allowed for a menu expansion as well as less wait time for tables - which prior to the expansion could have been anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour any time of day.
Unfortunately, I've noticed a decline in the food over the years, which is truly a shame. The sauces are still top notch, but some of the recipes clearly changed (like a lot of the pasta dishes, baked ziti being one of them) and not all of them changed for the better. The portions are still huge, but the food in general is just not as good as it once was. I always want to go to Vincent's when I'm back in town - for old time's sakes and to give it the benefit of the doubt - but since I've had only mediocre dishes the past bunch of times I've visited, I choose not to go because I'm afraid of being disappointed again.
One of my favorite restaurants on Long Island. Great Italian food and atmosphere; you feel like you're in Little Italy. Sinatra or Italian-themed music is always playing. Clams are their specialty (yummy clam chowder and baked clams) but everything they make is good. Seating is a little crowded but not uncomfortably so. Family friendly, or a good date place at the same time. Delicious fresh-baked bread while you wait with olive oil and fresh herbs. Their famous sauce is available as mild, medium, or hot and available for purchase in jars. Huge portions, great value for the money but expect doggie bags.
My boyfriend has been going here since he was a kid. The service is great. Expect to be swept to the streets of italy.
Definitely my favorite Italian eatery whenever I'm back in town. It's a delightful little place to go for lunch, but maybe too heavy for dinner (huge portions served here). However. I don't know what makes this place "world famous", but apparently a lot of (old) celebs have paid visits in the past. Makes me wonder: why?
Yes, the sauce is good. No, it's isn't excellent. I will admit, however, the pink sauce here is definitely a step up from your Emeril's supermarket jar. Which reminds me, make sure to bring home a jar of Vincent's sauce!
Note: Tell your server it's your first time there (even if it's not!). They usually give complimentary oysters or some appetizer they randomly choose off the menu.
Strangely, after reading the other reviews of this place I had to ask myself if there was some other location. Me and my significant other ate there twice - and both got extremely ill TWICE.
Yes, the portions are large. no, the sauce is not good AT ALL. Maybe because I'm Italian and know what good sauce should be? We tried the so-called shrimp ball. The proper name should have been "big ball of fried bread with sauce on it". It was really bad.
The place is always packed - go figure? After our second foray there we decided that praying to the procelain gods was not enough justification to go back...
The food is great, staff is great! I do not recommend this place if your planning a shower of any kind. When I signed he contract I was told I could have as many people invited for my sisters shower and I would have the back side of the restaurant reserved for my guest. I signed a contract for 50 people attending on a sunday afrternoon for 2 hours. When I got there I was told that my party was moved to the front of the restaurant that sits 30 people comfortably, I HAD 53 PEOPLE THERE!!!! There excuse was that the restaurant had a band coming in to set up 30 min before my party was suppose to end. I couldnt even sit down to eat it was so tight. My best friend's mother was going to book a shower there and after that experience she will never even go there! :(
Tell me this: What exactly makes a place "World Famous"? Who has to have heard of your establishment to be granted the World Famous title? There should be a government regulatory commission for this.
Their sauce is supposedly the greatest thing since meatballs. I gave it a couple of chances, and I just don't get it. Much other food, though, is more deserving of praise.
Whenever I see an item proclaiming grandma's recipe, it gets my attention: the mini meatballs were great. Anything you can get fried (calimari, shrimp balls, ravioli) is better than what you can expect from an Italian restaurant (not knocking Italian restaurants, I'm just propelling Vincent's even higher). You can have a pasta dish any style you can come up with, as per most places if you just ask. I tried the alla vodka and white clam sauce, they both make you sit and think why life is so good -- why don't they get the "world famous" nod?? Note* I think I get sick after the shrimp balls though.
They do make it a joyous occasion to be there. It's possibly because of the individual experience I've had there, but the staff always seemed extremely warm and inviting. Vincent's is what the Olive Garden only claims to be, but it is much more so a 'real' Italian dinner - where they keep feeding you until you can't eat anymore, and then you have more (and I'm not talkin bout salad and breadsticks, OG bitches).
There has always been a tremendous fuss over Vincents, but I am stopping myself from rating lower because of pretension. On the grounds that if I found this in the middle of upstate Goshen, I'd feel like a Culinary Columbus - It's only fair that I rate the World Famous Vincent's 4 out of 5 stars.
Go for dinner and get a cannoli. THAT is one of the best.
If you have an Italian family, you will probably like it here.
UPDATE: I realized I always get sick from their food. Other people I know do also. Wait a couple of hours after eating to develop conclusions and write reviews.
It's been a while since I've been to Vincent's, mainly because of the long waits. So I came here with my family and some relatives on a Monday evening at 8PM. The place was fairly empty with about 10 of the 30-40 tables occupied. Walking into this establishment, expect to walk into a cozy old-style Italian restaurant with dark furnished wooden tables and chairs, each table almost touching each other. You can basically talk to your neighbor if you have the urge. On one wall, you can see all the cooks, with the fresh seafood sitting on ice in front of a glass counter, desserts in a refrigerated glass window, and chefs at their respective stations.
Service was average (some may consider subpar), with waiters rushing to your table to take your order and get things moving. (This apparently seems to be the norm for the 20 or 30 times I've been here). Some may feel rushed but take your time and ask any questions you may have about the dishes. The waiter was a bit unattentive, in that he would only walk by our table and glance to make sure everything is alright. But if you require his services or need refills, it appears you'll need to raise your voice or your hand to get their attention.
We ordered a couple appetizers to start:
1) Clams On The Half Shell (6 for $6.95) - fresh oyster bay top neck clams.
2) Mussels Bianco ($9.95) - Prince Edward Island mussels sauteed in garlic, olive oil, white wine, and Italian parsley. About 15-20 delicious mussels are served with some bread soaked in the white wine reduction. mmmm, yummy.
3) Fried Ravioli ($6.95) - cheese filled, served with Vincent's "World Famous" marinara sauce. The breaded raviolis were fried perfectly and cheese was fresh. The marinara sauce indeed compliments the raviolis and make this dish delicious.
4) We were also served 2 dishes of Italian garlic toast topped with fresh mozzarella (with about 8 pieces on each dish), which was complimentary. The fresh mozzarella with the buttered garlic toast made this simple dish very good.
5) Also served is complimentary bread and a small dish of herbs. Pour some olive oil with the herbs, and eat to your liking.
As did the appetizers come out fairly quick from when we ordered, did the entrees come out just as quick. For my entree, I ordered the Steamed Seafood Combo ($19.95) which included calamari, shrimp, scungilli, and mussels, served over linguine and choice of Vincent's "World Famous" marinara sauce (mild, medium or hot sauce). I'm a big fan of hot so of course, I ordered the hot marinara sauce. For the most part, I was fairly disappointed with the seafood as everything was overcooked, from the chewy calamari, tough shrimp, chewy scungilli, and dried mussels. I was not at all impressed with any of the seafood included in this dish. The linguine was served al dente, and the marinara sauce was only slightly noticeably hot. I was definitely expecting some heat to this dish, but it was far from it.
I also had the opportunity to try the Tortelloni Alfredo ($13.95) which are 7-8 large-sized tortelloni filled with cheese and sitting in a pool of creamy Alfredo sauce. Though portions were fairly small and simple, this dish was delicious!!
One of my relatives had also ordered the Steak Cassalinga ($19.95) which is marinated skirt steak served with caramelized sweet onions, mushrooms, hot cherry peppers, small potato halves, and some sort of rosemary herbs. The hot cherry peppers did have some heat, something that my relative was not accustomed to. He had spoke to the waiter if they could some how cool down the dish. The waiter gladly said he would replace the dish with another entree, which my relative ordered the Seafood Combo ($19.95) with calamari and scungilli served on pasta and Vincent's "World Famous" sauce. The dish was prepared and served in less than 5 minutes, and the waiter even went as far to pack the remainder of the Steak Cassalinga so that we could take it home.
Most of us were not able to finish our dishes because of all the appetizers and large portions, so they doggy-bagged most of our food in aluminum trays with plastic tops. The waiter also gave us 6 brown bags with a loaf of bread in each one, probably because we were one of the last patrons in the restaurant for the night, and they wanted to get rid of their bread. A nice little treat nonetheless.
In all, my experiences at Vincent's are usually the same, delicious appetizers and hit-or-miss entrees. Service can sometimes be unattentive and even rude when the restaurant gets very busy. Though don't expect to go home hungry as most dishes are large in portions with prices not too high (with most entrees ranging from $13-$20).
Also as a side note, during the busy evening hours on weekends, Vincent's also tends to serve free appetizers and free sangria on occasion for the patrons who are waiting to be seated.
I absolutely LOVE this place!! Everything you order from the menu will be good, especially the Lobster Kiss! Strongly recommended if you've never been there.
Vincent's makes my stomach feel like it died and went to heaven.
Seriously, this restaurant has truly great food. Their tomato sauce (which comes in Mild, Medium or Hot) is delicious and really the foundation for their great dishes. Their portions are extremely generous--more than enough for tomorrow's lunch. Also, for the picky eaters, the simple pasta dishes (rigatoni and vodka sauce, baked ziti) are very plain but great, no vegetables or meat snuck in.
Being a pescatarian, I can't speak for any of their meat dishes, but their shrimp parmigana is great without tasting overly fried or soggy as it does in other places. I made the mistake of ordering their "Fra Diavlo" sauce once and it was so spicy I was unable to eat it--so beware!
They have a fairly extensive wine list, although I almost always stick to the sangria. It's about $20 for a pitcher and absolutely worth it, sweet and full of fruit and probably a little light on the alcohol.
I also buy their jars of sauce, which are actually great, I don't bother 'doctoring' it at home with additional spices because it really doesn't need it. Not quite as good as the real thing, but almost. Reading the ingredients label, this sauce has a lot of olive oil (it's the second ingredient).
The one drawback to this place is the ambiance. I understand that it's a busy place, and they are going for 'cozy' so you are often sitting right up against the next table. The worst part, however, is the music. When they don't have a live band it's about a 20 minute loop of "italian" songs (which mainly consists of "That's Amore" "Mambo Italiano" and some Sinatra) played at a loud enough volume to make a quiet conversation impossible. After two rounds of "Mambo Italiano" i want to tear my own hair out, so I can only imagine how the staff feels. I'll suffer through it for the food, but I really wish they would turn it down or change the soundtrack.
This is a great place. The waiters and waitresses are so nice, and you get seated almost immediately. The portions are very big and they have the best Marinara sauce. They have the freshest seafood and I love their oysters. This is true authentic Italian food, and I love this place
This is an old school type, family style place. Noisy? Yes! Packed? Yes! Excellent sauce? Yes!! If you're going on a weekend expect a wait...a long wait! Call ahead and ask them to put your name on the list ( I do that all the time) By the time we get there we might wait 10 minutes or so. A fun place to be, the staff is great and portions are HUGE! Everyone leaves with a doggie bag. Went there on Thursday night to celebrate a birthday and even though it was still packed, there was no wait. Worth a visit.
This is my favorite Italian place. They make the best veal parm i ever had. It makes me miss New York, no one else makes a veal parm like they do
I don't know where to start! This may be the longest yelp EVER EVER!.....okay well I must admit, first I heard the name and thought of Vinny t's in Boston (ewww yelp that if you must). My dear friend Ashley from way back in the day was craving it and I thought why not I am always up for something new! So we were on our way! We showed up and we were greeted by the two most wonderful hostess ladies! When has a hostess every struck up a convo? Then we proceeded to the bar.....where a man picked up our drinks!!! so NICE......I mean we both looked ravishing but this is not the point...ok it is but still!.....We were seated shortly after.....our waiter came right over so kind, introduced himself, showed us some specials and told us about some others.....I'm not a lobster person but he was raving about this lobster spesh....who knows its most likely off the charts!.......he brought us some bread which is piping hot....im talking steamy people!.....Pure fabulousness, about 10 minutes later he brought us a complimentary apppeeyy....(appetizer) I don't care maybe he thought we were ravishing like the man at the bar....either way....it was so sweet....although my friend and I didn't want to indulge in the extra carbs we had a bit! also PURE fabulousness....
Then the meal....o wait ordering our food was fun too b/c the waiter was hysterical....he was chatting away and enjoying our company he really wanted to be at work....or he should get an oscar for his performance as biggest tool bag ever...because I am talking nice here!
Then we got our meal he held the potatoes and added an extra veggie for me which was super nice and didn't charge anything....even though the side of veggies I asked for was 8 $ on the menu and I totally would not have minded paying for it that was my intention..no no but not with Steven!......the meal was amazing the salmon perfection and my friends meal ...SHE LOVED IT! Frank Sinatra was playing most of the time which didn't hurt.....and I think you need to be GQ to work at Vinnie's which is nice for the single ladies.....he then brought us dessert liquor on the house,,,,,,,we didn't want it really but he offered and brought it and it was kind......the best part was that he was NOT NUDGY....HE wasn't pushing or anything....if we said no to anything he would offer something else or back off.....I can not yelp this place enough......I doubt I will ever think of another Italian place again!! I am SOLD......the food DELISH....The service also delish.....and the atmosphere.....I don't have words!.........I am not a HUGE italian food fan...but this place takes THE MANACOTTI!!!!
