Good service.. GREAT FOOD... best buffalo chicken pizza in NJ... Nice decor and environment...
only downside is that it is a bit expensive as it is $2.75 for a slice of the buffalo chicken pizza but the slice is worth it and more...Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 63107332Jan 6, 2024
If I'm craving pizza, this is where I go. It's quick and casual and they have a diverse selection of slices. I love their drunken grandma (vodka sauce) and their buffalo chicken, French fry and blue cheese slice. The service is what you'd expect for a casual pizza joint and is sometimes quite good depending on who you get. I have yet to try something other than pizza off their menu which means the diversity of the slice keeps me satisfied.

The pizza is amazing! The service was wonderful with Evan providing the best service. He constantly came up to us multiple times checking on my girlfriend and I. I would recommend the vodka pizza, best pizza that I had in new jersey. Evan goes above and beyond and provides the best service to his customers.

They have whole wheat pizza and it's actually good! I typically try to eat more on the healthy side unless it's a cheat day so having whole wheat pizza makes me feel good! Lol. i haven't had an issue with the service & did not dine in to experience the ambiance. Definitely will order again. Hopefully they allow whole wheat pizza by the slice soon!

YUMMY pizza!!! I had pepperoni slices. But there's so many choices!!
Just wish it were air conditioned! The fans just weren't enough for eating there.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Teagan G.SoMa, San Francisco, CA15Jun 29, 2023
Whether your a hungry college student looking to escape the horrors of dining hall food, coming from the train, or a local looking for a quick bite to eat, this is the place for you. Village Trattoria has a special place in my heart for the service that is quick and efficient. It has amazing food and pizza, and I love a good classic pepperoni from there. It feels like a piece of NYC is settled in South Orange with the hustle and bustle of slices coming in and out of the oven, and people just enjoying a good slice.

Food is amazing service is great! Just have a few things. I was training there over the summer. Everyone was super nice and cool. The only thing is, that we had too memorize half of the menu too get offically hired and get a shirt there. I had 2 days of training there. 1st day was great. She was very helpful very hands on. Wouldn't complain about anything. The 2nd day of training comes, and things started too feel off. The young girl didn't train me at all and was talking and hanging out with most of her employees when I just wanted too learn on how things worked. She maid me memorize the menu the 2nd day of training. One of the owners during the dinner rush wanted me too be up front taking orders, answering the phones. I didn't know how too do that because it was only my 2nd day of training. I unfortunately didn't get the job and I was definitely very disappointed. I wished I had more training when I only had 1 day too learn the menu. I will still give them my services because I love there food and the service is great there but I feel like when I go in the atmosphere is off a bit. It is my local pizza place I always go too when I need a slice or 2. The owner is super friendly. was in there the other night and said hi and he didn't make eye contact when he said hi. Wasn't sure if they were just busy that night or just off because I was there. Anyways, I would still give them my services because the food there is wonderful.

One of the best spots around for specialty pizza. The chicken park pie is amazing. There's a ton of options and the wait isn't bad.

I used to really like this place, but now it's only so-so. Specifically, the buffalo chicken slice - which I believe is their signature slice - isn't what it used to be. It has changed since the pandemic - there's not that much chicken, the chicken is often a bit gristly, there are patches of the slice with nothing on it so you can see through to the bread, and overall it just tastes a little bit different / not as good.
I can only guess that this is a shrinkflation thing, where they're using cheaper and fewer ingredients. But it's unfortunate, as a once-great pizza slice is now only so-so.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jul 26, 2013Previous reviewThis is my go-to place in town for a quick coupla slices.
They have a lot of varieties. Buffalo chicken pizza is usually good, I also like bbq chicken, sausage, peppers & onions, and white.
It's not the most consistent place, as sometimes after I eat I have buyer's remorse, but for a slice joint what do you expect I guess. I do find pre-ordering visual inspections to be important, as I'll go with a less preferred variety that's just out of the oven rather than say, buff chicken if that's been sitting for a while.
They used to be very good value price wise, they raised their prices recently tho so it's not as good value but still good enough. Free soda refills helps. - Michael L.Orange, NJ172May 21, 2023
