Kudos to Marissa C. for reviewing this place. Thanks!

To add to this, this theatre holds several plays a year (one of which my girlfriend Shannon was in late last year: "Ruthless the Musical). What is cool about this little small town place is that many times you can get tickets for their shows at 1/2 price or so through http://Goldstarevents.com.

My daughter who is in 5th grade will be performing in her school play here next week. This is a local place that allows community schools to utilize their facilities which is such a neat and special thing.

Beware-the seats are not spacious so if you pack a little extra in the tush, know you will get fairly friendly with other folks much sooner than expected!

The Village Theatre is one the staples of Danville that keep make the town charming and cute. (Which is getting harder and harder these days with the town becoming more and more yuppified and snobby.)

I used to take theatre classes here as a kid and spent many a happy summer belting it out out in a musical or learning more about behind the scenes stagecraft.  I've also had the pleasure of seeing a number of productions by their Repertory company, and I'm pleased to say the quality of acting is far better than one might expect from a "community theatre".

The folks who work here, work hard and are very pleasant to deal with.  I will always think fondly of the Village Theatre and the many ways it enriched my childhood and my youth growing up in Danville.
