Village Inn. Normally nothing special. Today, above and beyond. Denver closed today because of a massive blizzard. Pretty much the whole city.

We managed to get some rooms across the street but their restaurant was closed. I called here and they said they'd probably close soon.

I spoke to the manager Paula. I said we'd be there in 5 minutes and she said she'd keep open . Very grateful she did. While we were waiting for our food she ended up locking the doors so she could close and send her team home.

We were the only ones left. Our service was amazing. Despite her team wanting to go home, we didn't feel pressured and actually felt like we were welcomed guests.

Thank you to our server Marlene who was friendly and fun.

Thanks to Fernando who jumped in to help Marlene.

I've always reserved my 5 star ratings for places that give great service. Today I wish I could give 6.

Thank you for making us feel welcome and warm when you should have been kicking us out. Grateful!

Blizzard outside! Thanks for keeping the hot coffee coming.

Nice little place to grab some simple homestyle grub. The prices are great. I had a breakfast scramble and it was large and tasty. Staff was friendly and it was very clean. I can definitely see myself dining here again as it was pleasant and a great value. They have a huge selection of pies you can buy a slice or a whole slice.

What a jem to find out here in the boonies of North Denver.

There's not too many food options in the area, but I'll definitely be back. The server was new, but nice, and the manager (Pearl?) is so sweet, you'll get a cavity.

The restaurant is very clean and bright. The prices are very fair, most dinner entrees are about $10.

I had the Classy Cobb, and it had everything I wanted, The blu cheese dressing had massive chunks of blu cheese!

Pay no attention to the missing ceiling tiles, they're working on it! (after the major hail storm)

We came here twice. Once for Breakfast and once for lunch. This dine-in restaurant is located right across the street from the hotel we were staying in, which made it super convenient to grab a quick bite.
      Both times were excellent!
Establishment is very clean, big too. Tons of comfortable seating. Very friendly people that work here.

Breakfast was EXCELLENT! Their eggs fluffy! and Hash Browns are golden brown with little crisps.
It taste exactly the way it looks in the picture. ;)

Lunch same VERY clean colorful food, flavorful as well.

Village Inn definitely serves its purpose on this location, even though my hotel did have a restaurant inside but it didn't open till 5pm so the Village Inn was definitely good to us.

I must say Way better then iHop hands down!

Opps! Last but not least.. Their Homemade pies are to die for!!!!!! They are stacked perfectly with flavor and did not fall apart. There are a ton of various flavor pies they offer. You can buy a full pie to take to an event or even home to your family or just have a slice of one of their famous pies.

I wish I was able to take one home on the flight they are just that good.

Unbelievable experience! Out of nowhere the restaurant is located right next to the hotel we were staying. I loved the decorations they had in the restaurant. How colorful! They also make their own pies weeeeeiiiii! It's a good breakfast place but we came here for dinner. I had a nice healthy meal, grilled chicken with spinach and hubby ordered a turkey. They prepared the meals really well, I was impressed! You wouldn't think this place can pull it off but they did it. We also tried a bowl of chicken soup and that too came out so good! So I thought why not trying their own homemade pie so I ordered a slice of pumpkin pie. Now that too is like I wish it's Halloween everyday. I must say that if you stay in the area you must try this restaurant. Our young waiter was very good. When he realized that they mixed the sauce in my dish he quickly fixed the problem. I ordered everything with sauce on the side due to my food allergies. So I thanked him for noticing it right away and fixed the problem. The food was amazing. My grilled chicken was cooked to perfection and and spinach was cooked in a different way that I ever had before, it was
almost grilled and had a great taste. With little tomatoes mixed in, it completed the course. Thanks for the best meal!

Last weekend my boyfriend and I were up super early and wanted some breakfast. We called and ordered chicken fried steak and eggs. Got it home and there was raw sausage and hardly any gravy on the steak. It looked like the cook ran out of gravy and so he threw some sausage in a pan for a second and then put it on the meat along with scrapes from the bottom of the gravy pot. The sausage was completely pink. RAW!
I couldn't tell you what the rest of the meal looked like, I threw it out! I am so disgusted by this restaurant. If anyone would have eaten that meal they would have ended up in the emergency department more than likely. I'm assuming that the cook was getting off soon and did not want to take the time to make new gravy, it was about 4:00am, he was trying to compensate until the working cooks came in and they could make some new gravy. That's just my theory.

This was the first time we went a Village Inn, and we were inpressed. We were expecting a Denny's style and menu, but were surprised with both the service and atmosphere.

First off, we were greeted at the door, and felt very welcome. Our waiter was great, and even with a special request, it was not an issue. My son ordered a medium well steak, and when it was not done to his liking, they were quick to correct it.

They ended up taking a meal off the bill due to a mistake, and were gracious enough not to get an attitude about it.
Four stars only for the order mistakes, not the service.

Definitely kid friendly, worth going back!

This diner is located next to our hotel and my husband on principle usually turns his nose up at food from a simple coffee shop next to lodging. But in we went during our recent trip to Denver. Our server was Riley, as she was for someone else on this thread, and she was very attentive. We were greeted warmly. The place is clean and well-lit, not crowded on a Tuesday late afternoon. We all loved our meals. My husband, who is a diabetic and rather picky about his food, enjoyed his meatloaf. I had the chicken breast with artichoke and tomato, which came, at my request, with lemon butter on the side. The chicken breast(s) were a little dry, but the vegetables (including a few sprigs of spinach) compensated. Just a few dabs of the butter were enough for flavor and moisture. My son quite enjoyed his kid's meal of macaroni and cheese (nothing to write home about IMO, but his choice). The highlight for him was the 99 cent kid's sundae! We were too full for pie, but they looked delicious, too. We would have made a return trip--happily--but we ran out of meals and days in Denver.

This was the literal worst service I've ever experienced (speed wise), which seems difficult to imagine given the type of food they serve. I have to imagine this place stays in business due to tourists and the unsuspecting guests (my party included) of the Clarion Hotel next door. It would be hard to imagine any return business to this establishment.

The restaurant was about 3/4 full when my party of four arrived and we were seated within a few minutes. Nobody came to take our drink orders for over 20 minutes, and when they finally did we had to flag the waitress down. It's tough to imagine we were simply forgotten given that we were in the dead middle of the restaurant and our waitress had walked passed us several times already. We made sure to get our food order in with our drinks when she took our order.
Our drinks (Coffees and waters) took another actual 20 minutes. The waitress apologized for the delays, but in a manner that seemed to me like this was par for the course. It became a source of amusement to us to figure out exactly how long it was taking, so using text history we tracked it back to the moment we sat down....In total, our breakfast order took just under an hour and forty minutes to arrive. Over the course of our European brunch we watched no less than four parties leave before getting food or drinks. If I had to guess I would say about 1/3 of the guests that came in while we were there left without food. The crazy thing was just how calm the staff remained, it seemed that nobody was comped food and that the staff was pretty used to these sorts of days. The food was fine, nothing to write home about, but we mostly ordered eggs and french toast. Food wise it's essentially a Denny's, very similar menu. I did order a chicken tender meal and they brought me a kid's chicken tender meal with both side orders incorrect...All we could deduce from that was that the waitress likely brought one of the dozens of meals that was in the process of being prepared by a guest who had left before the food was finished.

4850 federal The village inn on federal has to be the worst service, the manager is just as rude as his staff. Won't be going back , not even for holiday pies.
