2.75- Weak Everything
Half of the staff is very nice and accommodating. The cheeses and other products that they actually have are great.
They just have a very weak selection. And the sandwiches the sell out of the back tend to suck.
It's just not really a deli, not really a good cheese shop, not really good anything. But not horrible. Except for the sandwiches, which are made crappily and to skirt horribleness for value. -

Stopped in to pick up some salami and a nice cheese for a snack and asked for a couple of slices of a nice Scottish Cheddar to go. The emplyee looked down his nose at me and with a snotty tone said "We don't slice cheese here." I had to resist the urge to snottily ask if they cut the cheese instead. The best he would do is cut me one quarter pound "slice".
Nice shop, could lose a little tude. -

Ever since this staple of Southampton changed hands it has never been the same. I was in there the other day and they were doing structural work above patrons heads while they were eating. Clearly these new people need classes in customer service. Go some where else.

Typical shop that most locals/out of town people will go to for bagels and sandwiches. Insane!!! First off, the men behind the sandwich department usually don't understand what you're saying, prices are ridiculous, and for me I would rather go to Goldberg's and get a sandwich that isn't almost 10 dollars. You will get better cheese at an Italian store in Brooklyn, these people are all hype.

This place sucks! bad service and the
Guy behind the counter knew nothing about cheese. Also twice the price of other cheese shops. -

A decent selection of cheese (this isn't NY or SF, but it's good). I would always go to the Cheese shop and get either the Tuscan Panini or the Great Northern (grilled chicken, aioli, pancetta, ciabatta) sandwich. both are very good, and a good notch above what you'll find at most other delis in down (Schmidt's deli comes close, though). they also have lots of imported goods - capers, olives, chocolate, haribo gummy things, interesting chips and crackers.
a minus - parking stinks on main street in the summer. park around back - no really, just leave your car there - and walk around the village. -

Formaggio! For a small cheese store it gets it done. Sure I have seen better but not in this area. You will not get hurt here and the people will help you with some recommendations. Sandwiches are good and you do not need a credit line to buy things here. (Not cheap but not crazy)
Need a cheese fix of quick picnic lunch? you cant do far worse for more money. -

My favorite sandwich shop in Southampton. It's been my favorite since I was a little kid. The quality of their soups and sandwiches is always the same and never disappoints! Always a great stop before the beach in the morning, or for some coffee in the afternoon.

Not a deli, but not just a cheese shop, either. Specializing in - you guessed it - just about every kind of cheese you could ever dream of, this cozy Village standby also has an inventive menu of take out sandwiches, soups and goodies. Great coffee, quick service (usually) and not too exorbitantly priced considering it's right smack on Main Street in Southampton Village.
Try the parmesean crust sammich - fresh avocado, sprouts, toasty whole grain goodness.
