I love this little eco-boutique. The young woman working there was awesomely helpful and she let me bring in my two very large dogs without a thought to harm to her merchandise. I admit, my great dane was doing some panty sniffing.
Not cheap. But good quality and a focus on local producers.
Vie is located in a doomed spot on 3rd street. I've never seen a store last here for very long -- but here's hoping Vie does. It is a "green-minded" store that stocks organic cotton clothes and undies, as well as a few novelty books. I saw one on the effects of global warming on the polar ice caps and another on "Los Angeles Retro."
Some of their T-shirts have flattering draping and sewing -- a ruffle here; a pintuck there. The dresses and hoodies came in pretty colors. They were soft --perfect for yoga or beach wear. Vie also stocks cute boy-cut panties, too. I mean for the gals, of course. But they stock men's clothes, as well.
If comfort and buying green is your thing, Vie is worth a look on your next 3rd street shopping spree. The sales manager was super-friendly -- a rarity in these parts.
The heart and soul of any company starts with its founder, and after meeting the owner of Vie, I can assure you that her passion for 'green' and hospitality will make this 3rd Street Boutique a solid landmark for the Green movement in LA.
The store is loaded with original, and unique items and after speaking with the owner, I learned that even the cleaning materials she uses for her store are environmentally friendly.
The open layout, and huge sidewalk windows throw an abundance of light into the store that truly eases one into browsing around. You almost feel as if you're at home, in your living room, with fashion draped around you for your choosing.
Bravo to what this store stands for and the gifted direction this store will lead.
SALE UPDATE: Everything is apparently now 75% off...seriously, people, what are you waiting for?!?!?! Get over there and snatch up the great deals before they're gone! I, personally, plan on heading over this weekend...I hope I'm not too late...
