UPDATE~~~victoria salon gets another star because...
after reading my review, the 'guy from the front,' frank, sent me a note responding to my review. his note was kind and i could not be more appreciative--definitely shows that their customer service is tip-top. without question, i will go back!

I just moved into the neighborhood and desperately needed a haircut and brow wax. Victoria Salon is literally just a few blocks away, so I thought I'd give it a try. It's a cozy space with three chairs, a small area for facials and waxing and a pedicure room. Dena cut my hair and did a great job...I really like it! Rachel took care of my brows and also did a wonderful job. The prices are on par with salons in Chicago (haircut $55, brows $18), though they were kind enough to give a small discount since it was my first visit. It's a big relief to find a good salon that's conveniently located down the street. I''ll definitely be going back.
