Review from Bill S.
I had another opportunity to eat here again and just had to re-certify this as a true 5 star experience and probably the best restaurant I have ever visited.
If you have never experienced a 6 course 3 hour gourmet meal where the service is beyond description, you owe it to yourself and significant other to dine here BEFORE you DIE.Listed in: Orlando Fun Things

This place is so good! Almost every dish is delicious and the service is wonderful! Would come back here for a third time! :)
The wagyu is esp good and worth the extra bucks. -
Review from Dan M.
First off, I'm not a food snob or comfortable with the snootiness of some of these fancy schmancy high-end places, so take this review from the average joe with simple tastes.
I was a little anxious going to this place with the high price and "who knows what you are going to get" menu, but my friend's insisted, and I went in with mostly an open mind. The service was excellent. I normally don't like that much attention from the waitstaff, but they were there to comfort you by describing exactly what to expect for each of the course and were readily avaialble to answer all questions about food ingredients and preparation. They took into account my seafood allergy and provided me suitable alternates for each course, so I wasn't concerned throughout the meal. They had vegetable and poultry/pork/beef options throughout the menu.
I really enjoyed the different breads and flavored butters between courses. They had interesting choices for each of the 6 courses, and I tried things I normally wouldn't try, but wasn't overly put off by anything. I thought the soup was excellent as well as the desserts. The coffee service is not to be missed (I had tea, but make sure someone gets coffee (even decaf) in your party as the contraption is some sort of science experiment made at your table). The desserts of course are a major highlight too.
Worth a splurge for a 6 course meal served over 2+ hours. And the portions are just right, so you won't go home feeling bloated/overly full which is always nice. -

Longwood, FL
Everything you have read about this place is true. It's a 5 star experience that can't be found anywhere else in Orlando, and quite possibly in Florida! We had the least expensive 5 course menu, but did all the upgrades (Caviar, white truffles, Turbot, Waguy beef). We also did the wine pairings and found it an outstanding value! Plus they pair breads with each course and different butters too!
The level of service is above and beyond anywhere I have dined around the world! The knowledge of every ingredient's origin left me speechless. The timing was perfect, and never obtrusive. Dining at V&A was a lifelong dream come true and will be remembered forever. This is the place to drop some serious money and get an amazing return on your investment. -

The food is delicious. The bread 's receipe is 100 years old. Just try to avoid the lamb. Definately will go back.

Far and above, one of the best dining experiences I have had. From the quality of ingredients to food prep to ambiance to service ... outstanding. This restaurant is a delight.

We sat in the Queen Victoria room and had a 10 course meal prepared by chef Scott. Not only was the food outstanding, but the service was impeccable. Our servers were Don & Anita and they did an amazing job. This was an experience everyone should enjoy at least once.

One of the better meals of my life.
I can't enough good things about this restaurant but I'll try.
First - Service - impeccable. They make you feel like you are enjoying something unique and special without being pretentious or cold. The waiters were first class. They also printed and gave us personal menus with our names printed on them wishing us a happy anniversary. Nice personal touch we will remember!
Decor - Victorian decor is not really a design I would choose for a restaurant but of course it's understandable this would be a pre-requisite for the best restaurant at the Grand Floridian. They did nail the look. The live music from the harpist was very nice as well.
Food - Almost flawless. The menu is really balanced with something for everyone while not being over complicated. They also allow you to mix and match items for the courses from both the regular al a carte menu and the vegetarian menu which is fantastic. Since my wife doesn't eat seafood this was a big bonus.
I highly recommend the wine pairings. For $60 I think it's a great deal considering the quality and amounts they give you for each pairing. The selections were fantastic and complimented the food wonderfully.
The food was some of the best I've had- better than many of the high end restaurants we've been to in NYC. 2 of the apps that stand out were the diver scallops and The quail dish which were both fantastic. Unique without getting to crazy. For our main courses my wife got the pork tenderloin and I had the Waygu beef. Her dish was extremely complex and delicious. The beef was more about cooking it right and not interfering with an amazing piece of meat which they accomplished perfectly. The oxtail au jus was a great match that didn't overpower the steak. There was a side of whipped potatoes which had a great smokey flavor.
For dessert I had the banana gateau. Very good but not one of the highlights. My wife had the kona chocolate souffle which was killer.
If you like fantastic food and are at WDW you have to go for it and have meal here. You won't be disappointed. A+ -

V&A's proves that Disney World has something for everyone, even foodies. I'll bet many people might be skeptical of fine dining in WDW, but this place is top-notch.
I've been here a couple of times-- not every dish is a home run, but a lot are. My wife is a pseudo-vegetarian, usually preferring vegetables to meat, and they have a creative vegetarian menu that's just as good as the regular menu. Impressive that they don't mail it in for vegetarians. -

Went for the seven-course prix fixe dinner menu. Everything was done very, very well. No noticeably weak dishes at all. A great place to go if you're in the Orlando area and want to splurge.

My wife and i went here for her birthday and right off the bat we fell like royalty, very personal treatment It was as they were expecting us even though we were 20 minutes late the greed us by our last name and open the door to reveal the super romantic, classy and upscale decor.
The service quality was second to none and the staff are incredibly knowledgeable and well spoken. All of these combined along with The server's old times - English attire, personalized menus really made for a unique dining experience.
The food-
We had about 7 dishes each and every one of them were exquisite and beautifully plated with complex and unique flavors, a truth treat to the palate with every bite.
Although i had no complaints about the food, i didn't think the food was worth the $340 tab. Almost the same if not the same level of quality food can be had at ravenous pig for a fraction of what you're going pay here.
So if you're looking for food of this caliber at a fraction of the price, i highly recommend The ravenous pig, granted the experience won't be near the one you will have here at V&A, as the atmospheres and concepts are poles apart, but i promise the food will be just as exciting and delicious. -
Review from Megan H.
I'm always afraid that when my hopes and expectations are too high, I will inevitably be let down... This is NOT the case at V&A!!
Tucked away behind a super private door, you will enter a dining room straight from some uber wealthy scene in a movie (Ignorance is bliss... anybody? anybody?). The pampering begins the moment you sit down and it's obvious this is no ordinary meal.
The emphasis here is on the experience: from the elegant room, to the explosive flavors in the food, and lastly the very cool glass vacuum coffee maker... you will revel in every minute of your meal.
My suggestions if they are available at the time: upgrade to the wagyu beef and the abalone. Both are well worth the price.
They even let us take a peek at the chef's table and I feel like that would be my next goal should I have the chance to eat here again. -

Yes, it's expensive. And yes, it's worth it. From the exquisite service, to the unique and delicious foods, to the elegant ambiance (complete with live harpist), dining at Victoria and Albert's is more than just a meal, it really is an event -- undoubtedly *the* highlight of my trip to Disney World. Although it's been a year-and-a-half since I dined there, the whole evening made such an impression that I remember it as if it were yesterday. The courses are small but incredibly rich, varied, and ultimately very filling. The description says "American cuisine," but really, you'll taste a remarkable array of flavors quite removed from standard American fare. Don't plan on doing anything after dinner -- the meal takes a little over three hours and this *is* your evening! (And nothing you could do afterwards could possibly improve upon the experience... and I was there on my honeymoon, so trust me on this... you'll just want to go back to your bed and dream about it!)
I didn't sit at the chef's table, but honestly, I don't feel like I missed anything. I did get to tour the kitchen after my meal, and I'm rather glad I ate in the dining room with its decidedly more romantic ambiance.
You know those banquet scenes in old movies where the king or queen is waited on hand and foot by servers bringing a never-ending parade of delicacies? Well, dining at Victoria and Albert's is like that, only better because the setting is even more intimate. It's worth the splurge -- you'll feel (and dine!) like royalty for an evening. -

My husband and I have gone here for our anniversary for the past two years since we moved to the area. We will continue this tradition for as long as I can predict! I highly recommend Queen Victoria's Room!
The food and service here is unsurpassable. It is expensive, to be sure, but worth it for a truly memorable experience, even if it is only once in a lifetime! -

For anyone who thinks that you can not get high quality food while visiting Walt Disney World this place will blow your mind.
Let me start by saying that the Executive Chef Scott Hunnel is a James Beard nominee, and he was nominated as best chef in the South in 2007 and again for 2011. The restaurant is one of only three 5-Diamond restaurants in Florida, so you should expect a high level of culinary expertise. I have eaten at this restaurant 3 times. Two times in the main dining room and once at the Chef's Table in the kitchen's inner sanctum. There is a distinct difference (both in price and tone) to being in the front of house versus being in the back. I recommend both, although it was much more fun and less stuffy at the Chef's table.
Please note that after you have made your reservation you will receive a call to confirm and ask if there are food preferences or allergies so they can cater a menu to you.
If you are in the main dining room you will be presented with a personalized menu which does list a couple of options for each course. You will also have the option to:
1) Choose any drink (mixed or not) or wine you can imagine on their extensive wine list.
2) Choose the wine pairing (I recommend this if you can handle your liquor) or
3) Choose nonalcoholic beverages.
I have experiences all three options and I must say that it is delightful to choose the wine pairing because you may be surprised by the pairing (we actually ended up with an Oat Stout with one of our courses one year).
If you are at the chef's table you get approximately 10 courses and then the beverage choices are the same as above. The butler service is exceptional. I also liked that they have cashmere shawls for women if you are chilly.
My last visit was at the Chef's Table which is extremely difficult to score. I emailed the Maitre-D that we were coming and he served us personally. Scott Hunnel was in house and stopped by introduced himself and we got to ask him questions about the James Beard process as well as many other things. He was extremely personable and explained many things to us throughout the meal.
The Menu:
Amuse Bouche:
Soft poached Quail Egg with Galilee Caviar (cute and delicious)
Popcorn Crusted Diver Scallop (excellent)
Smoked Salmon Panna Cotta with Salmon Caviar (this was so smooth)
Crispy Buffalo Mozzarella (like buttah!)
Wine: Ruinat Blanc de Blanc Brut, Reims (so good I got a second glass...)
at this point I had to coach myself to slow down because it was so good I just wanted to gobble it up - and that was just the amuse bouche!
Next course:
Caviar Tim of Peeky Toe Crab with DeSietra Caviar and Petit Herbs
Wine: Michel Redde Sancerre "Les Tuilieres", Loire 2007
this was "salad in a caviar tin" delicious!
Next course:
Cold "Smoked" Niman Rach Lamb with Fuji Apple and Curry Dressing
Wine: Dr. ZenZen Valwiger Herrenberg Reisling Auslese, Mosel 2003
THIS was the coolest thing of the evening. They brought us a plate/bowl strainer contraption (top plate has holes in it so liquid will drop onto the bowl below it) and a tiny pitcher of liquid. We then poured the liquid onto the plate and white smoke billows from below. Such a production! and the food was delicious - melt in your mouth.
Next course:
Sake Soy-marinated Salmon with Bok Choy and Soy Beans
Wine: Kanbara "Bride of the Fox" Gohyakumagoku Junmai Ginjo, Nigata
Salmon and SAKE!!! excellent.
Next course:
Poulet Rouge with Mushroom-Truffle Ragout and Yellow Chanterelles
Wine: Hartford Court Land's Edge Vineyards Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast 2007
This was probably the most "basic" (as far as a flavor profile) of all the courses but delicious.
Next Course:
Minnesota Elk Tenderloin with Braised Red Cabbage Tart
Wine: Domaine La Roquete Chateuneuf du Pape, Rhone 2005
This was so tender I was beside myself. I don't love cabbage but I LOVED this tart. The wine paired so well with this. Bravo!
Next Course:
Japanese Wagyu Strip Loin or Australian "Kobe" Beef Tenderloin
Wine: Silver Oak Cabernet Sauvignon, Alexander Valley 2005
We all chose the Japanese Wagyu to see what all the fuss is about and it was the best beef I have ever had. It came with these super tiny micro-vegatables...they were full of flavor. They were so cute they belonged in a doll house setting.
Next Course:
Beemster Gouda Goat, Barber's Cheddar, Colston Bassett Stilton, and Gouda Reypenaer V.S.O.P.
Wine: Quinta do Crasto Late Bottle Vintage Porto 2005
HELLO! They had me at CHEESE course. I love ending a meal this way...BUT WAIT!
Next Course:
Tropical Summer Fruit Pave
This was luscious. I love fruity desserts and this fruit Log and ice cream was a perfect way to end the evening...BUT WAIT!!!!
Next Course:
Tanzanie Chocolate Mousse and Winter Chocolate Gelato
followed by another CHOCOLATE course and the Famous Celebes Coffee.

My wife and I go every year for our anniversary.
Only disappointment is every year we try for the Chef's Table and to date, we have not been able to book it.
We have dined in the Queen Victoria's room which offers extra courses and is a higher charge than dining in the main room.
Five star restaurant.
No more needs to be said. -

I have to agree with all of the other reviews - right up there with any other 5 star restaurant I have been to. Amazing food and amazing service. I especially loved the fancy coffee makers!

This really is an excellent establishment. I've never felt like royalty until I came here.
When we were seated, we were presented with personalized menus with our names printed on the menu.
All the food was impeccable and perfectly presented. We did get the wine pairing which was wonderful. I was nicely buzzed when we left. :)
When we concluded our dinner, we were presented with a gift bag with a mini pound cake for dessert.
The service was excellent, truly 5 stars. It is the only AAA Five Diamond restaurant in Central Florida. You are in for a treat!!!
However, I did feel uncomfortable as our 2 servers were giving us too much attention, it felt weird. Both times I went to the restroom, when I got back, one of our servers would wait for me to open the door to the dining room so I didn't have to open the door and pulled my seat out and put the napkin back on my lap. There are 2 servers assigned to each table to be at your beck and call. Also, each time we were served our next course, they would take away all our silverware and give us new silverware. I went through 6 sets of silverware... I feel bad for the washer...
Check out the pics!

What can I say about this place that others haven't already said? Simply amazing. I've never had a meal like this before. Pulls off classy without being pretentious. Food- is like heaven. Wow! Wow! Wow! Victoria and Albert's is a near perfect dining experience. Everyone should be able to experience this restaurant once in his/ her life. With your reservation they ask questions and prepare a personalized menu for your likes, and dietary needs. The food, oh, the food! It is heavenly and beautifully plated. The service (a 5 star establishment) is impeccable. I have truly never been to a better restaurant. Every aspect is on point!!

Dining room was exquisite! Best meal of my life. 3 hours of awesome! I want to take everyone (Sharon and Allen, Chef Scott and Pastry Chef Erich plus beautiful harpist) home. Most perfect wine pairing. Fantastic 1 of 6 freshly imported Wild Turbot with toasted capers was excellent. A new Anniversary tradition for my husband and I! A memorable experience we'd like to try the Chef's Table next time.

I went again to Victoria and Albert to make up for a disastrous experience at another five star/diamond restaurant.
Again, they are absolutely amazing. I was more impressed and awed by the food, atmosphere the second time around.
The level of service that this place provides has no comparison. I have a little stool for my purse, if you get cold, they will bring you a cashmere wrap, etc.. They go out of the way to make your experience pleasurable and do it in a manner that they are not interfering with you perfect evening.
We tried their coffee at the end and the making of the coffee is an experience in itself. You definitely must try it.
I recommend to each and everyone to go to this place as you will not regret it! I may go a third time pretty soon :)1 Previous Review: Show all »

Probably the only 5 star restaurant in central florida. I've been here 3 times and tried various dishes. They custom make a menu for you based on your diet and you get to take the menu home with your name written in calligraphy on the menu. Perfect food. I don't know how they made some of this stuff up. It's like the best of contemporary mixed with traditional. Maybe avoid the wine with dinner package cuz you can't stop drinking. They pick out 2 ounce samples of premium wine to go with each desert and dish, so by the time you're done with the 7 course dinner, you've had 7 different glasses of wine. I'm a lightweight though and was pretty drunk and happy but way full.

Worth doing once in your life. Up to you if you want to spend the money on a second, third, fourth, or tenth visit. To me it's worth doing once for the service and unparalleled food quality, but after that there's a big point of diminishing returns.
If you want to be a true rock star, at the end of your night, when the waiter asks, "I know this is a silly question, but is there anything else we can bring you?" you simply respond with "More bread, please." You will get a dumbfounded look, part curiosity and part amusement, but you will also get more piping hot fresh bread. You don't have to be classy to eat at a classy restaurant.
With all the pretentious showiness of Victoria and Albert's, don't forget to enjoy yourself... you are paying royally to be treated like a king and queen. -
Review from Jez R.
A smile creeps over my face as I remember the incredibly perfect and romantic evening I had there.
Tucked away in the back of the Grand Floridian, almost hidden away behind etched glass is Victorian and Albert's, a five-star quality restaurant that shimmers with a lost class and intimacy that is rarely found in our hustle and bustle world.
Prior to our arrival, my persnickety partner called ahead to inquire if they would be able to serve him with his....limited palate. The five-course meal, which changes daily, was entirely recentered around his particular taste. Our menus were custom printed and prepared for us, featuring ingredients from the chef's garden.
The food was wonderful. The wine pairing was excellent. The fresh coffee was perfect. The harp playing in the corner several Disney classics and standards was so suitable.
And you would think the price was absolutely staggering, but not at all. I was just shocked how reasonable it was for a class that high and the decor and overall attention to detail.
It all makes me nostalgic and wish I could run away to Disney and have a perfect evening like that right now. Easily five stars. Bravo, V&A! -

Rockledge, FL
Took my wife there last night for a milestone birthday celebration. I live in Rockledge (near the coast) and in the year here we have already exhausted the "best" restaurants in the Central Coast beach cities. (They leave a lot to be desired.) After doing my homework with Yelp, Urbanspoon and the Orlando Sentinel food critic, I decided that V&A was the right place for this special occassion. We couldn't be happier with that decision!! The food and service were both 5-star. It lacked nothing.
We did the 7-course fixed price menu and I got the wine pairing. I should note that my wife is pregnant, so alcohol, raw fish, caviar and unpasteurized cheeses are all verboten. The chef altered his menu where needed based on these dietary restrictions (only a couple of tweaks). I think enough of the other reviewers have done a great job describing each of their courses, the settings, the personalized menus, etc. I don't need to go into that. I do want to mention that the Diver Scallops are NOT to be missed if they're available when you go. I could've eaten a dozen of them.
My wife and I had a 75-minute car ride home after our meal and we talked about every detail the entire ride home.
I can't rave enough about this place! Go, go, go!! -

I've long waited for this moment. My wife made reservations in advance, (at 4 am PST in the morning) ninety days, prior to the date of our arrival. What I didn't know, was she'd booked us for the Chef's Table. It was a surprise. Only one reservation allowed per night and not easy to get. Wow! This table seats up to a party of eight. But tonight, it's a date with my beautiful wife. No kids, just the two of us. We took full advantage of this special evening.
Once in a while you just have to go for broke! Go for the gusto, and get what you want. Pat your own self in the back this time! This place wasn't cheap, but our memories of this place, will live on forever.
I want to thank my fellow Yelpers' for their useful feedback and outstanding reviews of Victoria & Albert's which rubber stamped our decision to dine here.
***
The minute we arrived, we were greeted by the general manager and host. I felt like my favorite culinary celebrity Anthony Bourdain, the Filipino version though, without the cowboy boots, that silly smirk and curly hair of course. And yes, we had reservations.
Dress code enforced in this triple "A" five diamond restaurant. Dress shirt and coat required for the gents with tie optional and a cocktail dress or equivalent required for the ladies.
I walked in excitement as we made our way across the dining room, through the kitchen, and to the Chef's Table. When seated, the champagne poured on our wine glasses. My wife and I looked at each other, smiled, and took a swig OMG!
Minutes later, Chef Scott Hunnel came out to meet and greet us. He talked about our epicurean journey ahead. He's very nice, calm, professional and down to earth. He said, "Sit back, relax, enjoy, take your coat off and take pictures as you want". He also mentioned if we had any other requests for the menu which was awesome... Salute!
***
I chose to have my meal wine paired so I don't miss out on anything. My wife of course, had her option to take dibs off my liquid goods.
We inhaled all of the action in the kitchen, constantly watched the experts as they mastered their art and enjoyed the overall ambiance. I was waiting for the loud clanging and banging of pots and pans, the shouting out of orders, the madness and such - nah! There were some kitchen noise, but not the loudness as I expected. I guess all that stuff is just made for TV, or these guys just worked in perfect synergy.

After swig number three on the bubbly, our meal arrived.

Wonderful dishes, you have several options for each course, including an exclusive vegetarian menu.
Excellent service, from the moment that you are greeted at the door to your menus and swag bag, the service is truly personal.
My only discouraging statement is: the wine pairings ($60 optional) were a hit and miss.
Word to the Wise:
If you have the slightest notion that you will be going to Orlando within the next 180 days, make your reservation for the "Chef's Table." It's only $50 more (at $175 per person, it's a steal) for an experience of a lifetime. -

Wow, there is a place that could push Napa Rose out of the top spot of favorite restaurants. We came here on our last night at WDW (which was last night) before heading back to Los Angeles. It was out of this world. We arrived early (almost 20 minutes) but there we were taken to our seat and given our personalized menus. Everything sounded spectacular. (Will have to update later, once I find where I placed the menus for safe keeping.) Crab, Quail, Bass, Pork. The wines were incredible. The portions were just right, enough to leave me wanting more, but not enough to make you feel stuffed when I walked out with the rose and a loaf of fresh bread for the morning.
The atmosphere was dark (but not too dark) and romantic. There was a harpist in the corner. The service was above expectations - and I had very high expectations. The husband has said we will come back in the future ... -

A really great restaurant located at the Grand Floridian (right across from the magic kingdom). It's know as one of the best (if not the best) restaurant at Disney.
We had a great experience all around. My GF gets cold, so was going to bring in a coat just in case - but they gave her a cashmere shall. Each person gets their own custom, bound menu, with their name printed on it. After dinner, the women get a flower.
The menu is a fixed price, with 6 courses (priced @ $125 per person as of 12/20/07). You can also get add-ons, like a GREAT wine pairing for $60, Kobe Beef ($80), Caviar, etc). NOTE: I added up what one person could get - you could go over $500 for ONE PERSON. Saying that, the "base" dinner is great and well worth trying.
I had the Seared Duck with hearts of Palm for the first course. Pretty good. The second was Foie Gras, with a wine pairing of Royal Tokaji Azsu 5 Puttonyos (Which was a AMAZING COMBO!). Probably the best Foie Gras I've ever had.
This was followed by Scallops, and then Wagyu strip loin with Oxtail Jus. Followed that up with a cheese plate, and a really amazing dessert (Had 4 things in the course).
Each course was small, but we were both stuffed by the time we were done. I would highly recommend the wine pairings - they really nailed each course. I found the Foie Gras to be a whole new experience with the great glass they served with it.
While this isn't something I would go to often (as the price is insane), it's worth doing once, for the experience and great food.
The staff was EXCELLENT - three people worked the table. They were very good at recommending dishes, answering questions, etc.
One thing I'd like to try but wasn't available was the Chefs Kitchen. You basically hang out with the Chef and he cooks a custom dinner for you and your guest. You can chat with him, watch him cook, and wander the kitchen. Now if only they'd let me help cook.... :) -

Victoria and Alberts has changed over the years. Back in the day, your name was hand scribed on personalized evening menu.
Since seating is limited and reservations are a must. If you are going to Disney World and are considering this restaurant, make your reservations at least 90 days in advance.
The food is very good. The ambiance and limited seating brings out the romantic mood. A cellist or harpist can be found playing gentle background music. The manager visits each table, ensuring the guests are pleased.
Victoria and Albert's works well with the Disney theme of going out of your way for your guests. I recommend it highly. If you have small children, some of the local hotel resorts on Disney property offer child care so you and your spouse can have a memorable evening. -

My favorite restaurant, along with Crush in Seattle.
A bit stuffy in atmosphere and pretentious to the hilt, but perfect service and a variety of flavors rarely found.
Specific dishes matter not. Pick what you like, try something new, and bring a cashiers check. Oh, and don't forget- "wine pairing" should be one of the first things you order.
Dinner cost us over $600 with tip the first time, but number two we kept under $400. -

It's not about the food. It's not about the personalized menus. It's not about the wine, the harp music, or the tag-team waiters. It's about the experience. My husband and I splurged on this as one of our honeymoon experiences, and what a night to remember. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted and congratulated repeatedly by the staff on our honeymoon. Seven courses with wine pairings allowed us to experience foods we never had before: ivory king salmon, sweet breads, elk tenderloin, to name a few. The wait staff was also a real treat: attentive and knowledgeable. Each wine pairing was described in great detail and they were able to answer all of our questions about each course.
And the finishing touch? Not the personalized souvenir menus, or the long stemmed rose for me at the end of the evening; it was the delicious complimentary loaf of cranberry banana bread, baked in the Grand Floridian bakery for us to take back to the resort and enjoy in the morning. What a treat. -

Top restaurant in Orlando.
The atmosphere seems to be a bit pretentious and "victorian", but it gets better as you dine. It is as close as you can get to being treated like royalty.
The plates of food are unbelievable. The textures, flavors and presentations exceeded my expectations and made me feel like a foodie on "Top Chef" or "Iron Chef".
If you have the money, make sure this is your go-to spot. Even dropping as much money as I did for my boyfriend's birthday, I did not feel cheated; I felt relieved that there was such a gorgeous restaurant within 20 miles of our house!
Also, make sure you do the wine pairings- they really know how to match the wine to the flavors of the food. -

This was an absolutely fantastic experience. Although I did not have deep enough pockets for the chef's table exclusive, the "regular" dining experience was a treat on its own.
The service was impeccable. I've never been treated so well in a restaurant before. For example, a wait staff member notices you go to the bathroom and they will replace your napkin with a new one and then follows you from the bathroom back to your seat just to pull the seat out for you. I felt like a king.
Be prepared to pay a lot. I had the regular 7-course at $125/person + $60 wine pairings. I highly recommend the wine pairings as it matches up with the foods very well. You also don't have to rack your brains choosing a bottle from their extensive wine list. The wine pairings are also generous on the portions - I believe the waitress said it totals up to about 2.5 to 3 glasses of wine.
If you have deeper pockets there are select "extras" on the menu that you can pay for - such as high quality kobe beef steak, or white truffles as an amuse bouche.
Valet parking fee was included in the meal, and all the ladies you bring will receive a rose on exiting the restaurant.
This was truly a once in a lifetime experience
