Tim Mattis, was my angel, my healer! When I walked into Vibrant Care I was feeling very low of spirit. I really did not think I had a chance of getting well, living without pain and having mobility in my arm again. I had a frozen shoulder. Tim, Lauren, Natalie, Ben, Ken took such good care of me, healed me and helped me laugh again. They lifted my spirits along with giving me back my mobility free of pain. I feel like I have a new lease on life, living pain free is such a gift. Because of all of them, and especially Tim, a nautural born healer I am my old self again.
They are the best! Tim, Lauren, Natalie, Ben, and the other new girl (sorry can't remember her name). SUPER Sweet, great care, funny, smart, and just wonderful.
I went in with this weird knee/leg joint pain that started in June. I say weird because the MRI and X-Ray were all clear, normal. Anyhow, i was still in pain so my doctor sent me in for physical tx. I didn't think it would work but I'm feeling so much better now!
Not only do they provide good physical therapy but they also provide a positive, caring, and fun environment for treatment.
GREAT GREAT GREAT!

I have been involved in athletics for much of my life, and I had a very physical job for over 20 years. Consequently, I have many little broken bits and creaky parts in my (currently) 49 year old body. Some body parts seem to be a bit older than the entire unit. creeeeak, snap, pop. I've been to several different physical therapists. Some were good, some were sadly useless. Useless as in sitting on a stool reading magazines while I did range of motion exercises and figured out how to work some of the unfamiliar machines. Oy. Tim was recommended by my internist and he has been nothing short of fantastic. I broke my elbow a few months ago and have had some soreness and limited range of motion since. The orthopedist I saw said that "if anyone can get more extension out of your arm, it'll be Tim". And he has! He has a calm and matter-of-fact demeanor, and he is funny as hell. His staff is friendly and each assistant is quite knowledgeable and attentive. A high level of clinical expertise combined with a welcoming and relaxed air in the office. What could be better? Hobble on down, they are worth the trip.

I have lived with chronic pain since 1998 when I was on the receiving end of a rear-end auto collision. Being in high-tech and having to often work long hours exacerbated an injury that I've long wondered if I can ever recover from. After awhile, I had grown accustomed to intense back, neck, and shoulder pain and therefore came to accept its persistence in my life.
I was recommended to VibrantCare by my rheumatologist and my podiatrist (yep, the misalignment eventually grew to affect *my feet*) and had no idea what to expect with physical therapy. Before long I came to understand that the San Carlos location's full-time PT Tim Mattis is no ordinary physical therapist.
Although I am still continuing my therapy and I am not 100% free of pain, I have had many consecutive days where I have been pain-free and I know it is from Mattis' treatment. How do I know for sure? If I miss an appointment or if I am treated by a substitute when Tim is absent, I **feel it**. Big time.
Tim Mattis truly cares about the condition of his patients, is extremely knowledgeable and experienced, and is the star of the show that is San Carlos VibrantCare. If you have the need for a PT and others' efforts have failed - or even worse, if you're like me and you had given up hope for living without pain - see Tim at VibrantCare.

if you need a physical therapist, Tim Mattis is the person to see! he is genuine, truly cares about making you better. I feel fantastic after I see Tim and my pain goes away, but it will take some time for total healing.
Time looks at each persons individual needs and caters to them and their specific needs. I have not only seen it with me but with other patients when I am there.
I agree with everything Tim Q. has said, and more! I could not have asked for a better PT. I wish everyone in medicine was like Tim Mattis, they can all learn from him.

Tim and company did a fantastic job on my knee after ACL replacement surgery. My doctor was extremely pleased at the rate of recovery. Within 2 months I had full range of motion and was doing agility exercises! The variety of exercises in the therapy kept it interesting as did the light and cheerful atmosphere. Tim is very knowledgeable and I always felt he knew just how hard to push. He thoroughly explained everything we did and easily answered my many questions. I would never go anywhere else.

I'm accident-prone, which means I've had to see waaay too many physical therapists in my life. In fact, I've been treated by at least six therapists over the years. My latest injury was life-changing: a shattered shoulder requiring insertion of titanium in place of the bone. I needed someone *extremely* knowledgeable and experienced with shoulder rehab. Fortunately, I found Tim Mattis.
That's why I can safely say Tim Mattis gives more time working with patients, spends more time thinking about their well-being and how to speed their recovery, than anyone I've ever been treated by. He's also a joy to be around: funny, entertaining, outspoken.
Without reservation, I recommend Tim Mattis as among the BEST physical therapists on the Peninsula. Where most therapists will, at most, spend 20 minutes with modality work -- Tim will dedicate 30 or 40 minutes if that's what's needed. His concern is your health -- not cramming in as many patients as possible to make physical therapy pay these days. That approach to healing has become a rarety. I speak from experience.

I don't think I have words to express how I feel about the fabulous care that I received from Tim Mattis at Vibrant Care. He is an incredibly gifted physical therapist (healer) and a great person all around.
I had broken my left ankle very badly in two places and had several screws and a plate surgically inserted to repair the bones. I was in horrific pain after the surgery for several weeks, and after week #6, I had the cast removed and I immediately started physical therapy at another clinic. Within 3 sessions, I was injured by the physical therapist at the other clinic. She was aggressive, inexperienced and she pushed me too far, this caused the screws in my foot to get pushed out of place and nearly through the skin. After this happened, she chalked it up to "that's strange, I wonder why that happened?"
Needless to say, I was a wreck - the pain was unbearable and I was scared to have another person touch my foot ever again. I went back to my orthopedist the next day and told him that I would never go back that place again. He then recommended that I see Tim Mattis. He told me, "Tim will give you the TLC and attention you need. He will take good care of you. He is the BEST, don't worry. " With that reassurance I went to see Tim and with his kind and gentle demeanor, along with his apparent expertise, I knew I was in good and capable hands. Not only did he rehabilitate my ankle painlessly, he also got me on my feet and back to work in a short time.
His knowledge, technique, personality and intuition make him an excellent care provider and his patients feel relaxed and assured that they are in good caring hands, hands that will make them better because his concern and care are transparent to all those that he treats. The atmosphere at the clinic is upbeat and friendly, (as we all know laughter can be the best medicine) and this makes going to therapy almost a social event.
Again, I can't speak highly enough about Tim Mattis and his team at Vibrant Care. If you need an excellent physical therapist, please go and see Tim, he will take very good care of you!
