From drinks to dessert, this authentic Italian restaurant is fabulous every time. While the staff has switched around a bit from my first visit-- the quality has been unwavering and exceptional.
To start, I'd recommend the Bellini-- a puree of peach shaken with some secret ingredients and then topped with champagne.
If you're looking for an appetizer the scallops are fresh, large and perfectly cooked. If you've never had polenta, this would be a great place to try it.
My favorite entree has been the Pappardele al Modo dei Piemontesi. It is a pasta dish featuring an assortment of wild mushrooms and abbite (a lovely green of sorts). The thing that makes this dish stand out is the drizzling of white truffle oil and the light mushroom broth that the pasta has been tossed in. The pasta is made daily and hand cut.
If you're looking for something more hearty, there are a variety of fine steaks and seafood features. I would still highly recommend ordering the pasta for sharing with the table.
For dessert, if you have room or even if you don't-- try anything with fruit. The selections are constantly changing but the crostatas are delicately flavored, not too sweet and perfect with after dinner drinks. And of course, the sorbet is freshly made and topped with a raspberry coulis.
Every item on this menu has been tested and critiqued by many people before it's reached the table. While Via Valverde does a wonderful job presenting your meal-- the balancing of ingredients in each offering has your mouth savoring the subtlety of flavors.
This is an elegant restaurant, but comfortable. While the dining room is decidedly masculine (a little too much pen15 and not quite enough Venus) there are nice thoughtful touches such as the little individual tea pots and the candle lights with shades on the tables.
If you're planning a special dinner, call ahead, ask for Mossimo and get a reservation to eat out on the small private veranda.

During my recent visit to Boston, Two friends of mine and I stumbled upon this wine bar, that turns out it is also a restaurant and has a full bar. The atmosphere is great, the staff is awesome (especially Kelly the bartender!) They are accommodating, nice and you cannot beat the location in the North end. Also turns out one of the owners is Paul Geary, the manager of Godsmack (which happens to be my favorite band....!)
