I haven't been to this place in quite awhile, but it definitely has potential.  It's got a great vibe, and the bartenders I met were very nice and good conversationalists.

I would really like to give this place a better review, but I just can't justify adding three extra stars.  While the current owner did a nice job modernizing the place and hiring good bartenders, I don't think it'll make it much longer.  My gripe is that while it does have the potential to help revitalize the neighborhood, it suffers from a bad case of mismanagement.  The bar is ALWAYS empty.  Because of where it's situated (right on Myrtle Ave near Pratt Institute), you'd expect the place to attract a larger crowd.  Most of the time though, it's empty... even on wknds. It's really a shame because this is one local place that has two TVs to watch sports, not to mention the real hidden gem which is the decent sized backyard with a porch. I dunno, but I think in one year's time, we'll be seeing another restaurant opening in its place.

In all fairness, this review is based on my experiences during the summer months, generally a time when most of the student population is dormant.  Whether this trend will continue after the summer is over remains to be seen.
