true story - my dress blew away. 1 hour before i was suppose to be at an event. i totally under estimated a friend's comment that river north is one of the windiest places in chicago. but COME ON! i was coming back from the tailor, new walter dress in a zip-up garment bag with the slightest opening at the bottom. i get home...and guess what's not in the bag?
luckily veruca salt was open and down the street from me in my time of EMERGENCIA!
i got a new hot outfit fast! and they were so helpful.
they carry great designers, the store is set-up very cleanly and the location couldn't be any better for me.

I'm not sure whether to jump up and down or ask my husband to hide my credit cards after learning that one of my favorite boutiques in Bucktown, Veruca Salt, has opened a store right in my neighborhood. Whoo hoo!!!! I guess I've decided on the jump up and down approach.
I couldn't resist stopping in on my home from the gym. Unfortunately, I was too gross and sweaty to try anything on, but there were at least 5 clothing items calling my name!! Why, hello cute striped top- you will be mine by the end of the week...
The owner, Amber, is an absolute doll and has quite the eye for fashion. I love how I always find clothing items in her original location that I haven't seen anywhere else. And while these are no Forever 21 prices (much better quality too!) I find it to be pretty reasonable for boutique shopping.
And here's the best part for all you East Bank Club fanatics- you get 10% until the end of the month at Veruca Salt with your East Bank card. Finally this pricey membership is getting us some type of deal!!
Veruca Salt is the place to shop if you want to wear the latest style in dresses and hate clashing outfits when you're at a wedding or a night out around town. The styles are unique and keep up with the current fabric, cut and color trend. I always have people approach me out of the blue to ask where I bought my dress whenever I sport one from Veruca Salt. A warning, the dresses are expensive, ranging from the lowest in the hundreds to an average of $300 for a summer dress. It's worth it for special outings and also if you're one of those people who hate it when people can tell exactly where you bought your dress, (ie: Forever 21). Sign up for their email list and you receive regular notifications of sales, coupons and special events.
I happened to pop in on my way to the grocery store and am so glad that I did.
The clothes here are so unique, cute and comfortable. Their dresses are amazing! I was going crazy because I liked everything they had. The style expert there was very helpful with fitting and finding a style that is right for you. She also knows details about every piece in the boutique.
This new location just opened and for now is open 7 days a week.
Oooooh I love it here! Veruca Salt carries everything from upscale sweats to jeans to lingerie, but I think their selection of dresses is the best. I've never failed to pop in on a Saturday afternoon and walk out with a beautiful dress to wear that night. The owner has impeccable taste and they get new items in several times per week, so the styles are always updated. The clothes are definitely not cheap, but they tend to have pretty great sales. And the upside of the prices is that there won't be a dozen other women at the party wearing your same outfit.
The girl who is usually working at this location (Erin?) is a doll and knows the merchandise extremely well. Don't hesitate to ask her for a recommendation - often she will hand me a dress that looks like nothing on the hanger and like a million bucks on.
The clothes are charming and the quality is excellent to good sadly the only time I can afford to shop there is when they have sales. Overall I do like the store but was bothered by the fact that I purchased a necklace and a shirt but when I got home realized necklace was not me. The receipt said returns in 14 days for store credit so I walked back to the store and the manager told me "sorry jewelry cannot be returned". I didn't have the energy to argue with her. When I was walked home I was upset by the fact she did not tell me their policy regarding jewelry returns when I was checking out nor did it say anything on the receipt. If you buy jewelry there make sure you love it because it is yours to keep.
