Vertical Drop Ski Shop
1 review for Vertical Drop Ski Shop
Last Christmas, my boyfriend was set on buying me a pair of K2 Fatty Ski Blades (for those who haven't heard of ski blades, they're about a quarter of the length of regular skis).
We drove all over the state attempting to find a pair of the blades that weren't going to cost him more than $300, but we were searching for skis "in-season," meaning every price was jacked up. Finally, we came across Vertical Drop, a small store in the McCabe Crossing plaza off Fields Ertel Road. Vertical Drop had one pair of the Fatty's left and sold them to us for the astoundingly low price of $185.
The staff at Vertical Drop was helpful when it came to the fitting and purchasing of the blades, and they also gave us a complimentary half-hour lesson on the best skiing in the mid-west (we are both relative novices). The store sells a number of well-known ski and snowboard brands including K2, Nordica, Roxy and Salomon. Vertical Drop also features clothing by The North Face and Spyder (I bought myself a particularly adorable pink North Face fleece).
