Veronica is the only person I will see for waxing services. I've had horrible experiences in the past with other estheticians taking off my entire eyebrown. Asides from doing an incredible job and giving me exactly what I am asking for (an Eva Mendez shapely set of eyebrows) she has a very professional demeanor and an uplifting personality.

I used my groupon at Pure Skin Care Studio with Veronica Jeffries. The facial was good... Well worth the groupon price. I will mention that I've never paid for a facial and not received extractions which she did not do. I was very unpleasantly shocked, however, to learn that the up-sale I agreed to for a brow clean-up and lip wax would cost me more than I paid for the facial!??? I feel like I was gouged on the waxing price to make up for the discounted facial. I get the same waxing services done regularly for nearly half of the $40.00 that was suggested. (Which are typically done by EVA at the Benefit counter at Macy's Arden Fair and she's AMAZING!) And the cost was, of course, not stated until she had completed the waxing. Highly unprofessional and completely overpriced. I feel taken advantage of to say the very least! I will never go back to Veronica.

I've been seeing Veronica for regular facials and waxing for the last few months now (leading up to my wedding next week) and she's wonderful. My skin looks and feels different and she's shaped my eyebrows perfectly. She's funny and friendly and takes a lot of care with my *sensitive* face. Last week, people started commenting on how good my skin looked when I was barely wearing any makeup, which I can do now that my skin looks so much better!

I found Veronica by receiving a gift certificate for a facial and have been a client of hers for about 6 months now and I gotta say that I am truly happy with the treatment and attention she gives to me. With all the products on the market today, I'm a pretty big skeptic (she'll attest to that:) about their effectiveness. She listens to my concerns and is very helpful at navigating what would and would not work on my skin and don't feel pressure to buy anything superfluous.
She also has an easy-going personality, a good sense of humor and is an engaging conversationalist. However, Veronica strikes me as someone who would respect the wishes of her clients if conversing isn't your bag.
So, speaking as a converted skeptic, I highly recommend Veronica as your next (or maybe your first) esthetician.
P.S. I also appreciate the little samples she gives me to try at home :) -

Just got my eyebrows waxed again. Thank goodness. Now, I no longer look like a werewolf. Veronica is so good at what she does. I don't know what to do if I am ever separated from her.

It doesn't get better than this girl for a wax! I have been going to her for the past 4 years. Her shop is in an adorable victorian in midtown, and her room is really spacious for an esthetician room, which others can sometimes feel a bit cramped. The details in the room are excellent down to the music playing softly in the background. She is a perfectionist when it comes to waxing and I always get compliments after she does my eyebrows.
In those few times I have been in a time crunch and gone to others like the Benefit counter at Macys, I have been so disappointed.
They charge the same as Veronica, and yet I don't see the same results. You have got to try this girl! You will be a believer too :D -

I went to Veronica (at Byuyi, where this review is also posted) for the first time for a Brazilian a few days before my big vacation and she was fantastic! She is extremely friendly and put me right at ease. She did a great job- quick, relatively painless, and thorough. I'm definitely going back! I highly recommend her for your waxing needs!

Veronica is wonderful- I have very sensitive skin and have had bad experiences with waxing in the past- but have not since I started seeing her. Her location is convenient and the atmosphere is relaxing. She provides the best customer service and her friendly and relaxed personality eases what could be an unpleasant monthly appointment :)
I cannot recommend her enough- Veronica is the best!
