Firstly, I should say that Vern is a nice guy (and an accomplished alpine climber) that I've hit up for climbing beta more than once. Secondly, IMHO his photographs are superior in color and composition to the Galen Rowell's. Over the years I have purchased 4-5 prints from Vern for both myself and as gifts. The gallery is a tiny bit north the main drag, but it's definitely worth a stop.
