I run a neighboring hotel and had a heartbreaking call regarding a party of 5 rooms of guests' staying with us. They had just lost a child family member, and one of the family members wanted to buy flowers for the family that had arrived from Ireland.
I knew they didn't have much money to work with and we certainly didn't give Verde much notice. What a joy to work with. Five beautiful, tasteful, unique arrangements in less than two hours.
I've done an unfortunate amount of funeral arranging and in the past have had some very unfortunate price-gouging with egregious florists.
Thank you, Verde SF, for hearing the story, for feeling compassion, and for not hearing dollar signs in the story.

Just what I want a flower shop to be! Monica is extremely nice and welcoming. I tell her my budget & what kind of vase I want to use and she puts together the most beautiful arrangements I've ever seen! Not only that but she tells me about the chosen flowers and how to take care of them. I have found the most unique and beautiful looking flowers and branches for a great price. I love that this little shop is in my hood!
The most original and beautiful flower arrangements in the City period. I work nearby and we get a different arrangement every week. Every week Monica and Larissa out do themselves. Go now before she finds out she can charge $100 for an arrangement :)

Why:
1. Monica - she's got great taste, listens to what you like, and I've never seen her without a smile!
2. Flower selection. Monica's always got something interesting, as well as sentimental favorites.
3. Incredible Value - I walked out of her shop today with a gorgeous table arrangement AND a vase for $25. Other times I've just grabbed a simple bunch of flowers for around $7.

One can never have too many flower shops in the neighborhood. However, one does need one that stands above the rest and that one could recommend at the drop of a hat. Verde SF is indeed this one.
I'm a heterosexual dude...however, don't let that fool you as I have actually a fair amount of buying-flowers-in-a-flower-shop experience. Read: I got some game. Therefore, I feel I am qualified to write a review on many levels.
I am impressed by the selection as well as the quality. There is the usual that you'll find everywhere, e.g daisies, but there also the picks that you will not find all the time, i.e. miniture orange calis today. The greens and Monica's recommendations are also both top notch.
Service is second to none. I guess it would be hard to get bad service though in a place that is probably 100sq ft.
Monica does special events as well as tiny orders. She is knowledgeable, kind, and helpful.
The place is not intimidating to those who don't know their flowers well and want to step up their game past the supermarket choices. It would be hard to go wrong and you'll look extra pimp.
Finally a flower shop in the neighborhood and a very good one. We always wanted to have a very good exclusive flower shop in the neighborhood. (I know Fallati has a section, so does health heaven and so does KJ produce), however Verde SF has exclusive collection and a very good price.
And Monica is very nice. I walked in this morning and she provided a very good bouquet for my wife at a very decent price. Now, thanks to monica, my wife is happy, i am happy, and so are my friends, cos now i have a permit to have a party tomorrow.
Super cute flower shop.. not sure if it's working against Falletti's selection (but I cant tell you it's far superior!)

An amazing little flower shop. Vert has a very good selection and makes beautiful bouquets. Reasonably priced. I am so happy we have such a great flower shop in our neighborhood. We'll be back.
Terrific flower shop with great personalized service! Monica provided some flower arrangements for a workshop I was conducting. I gave her my budget and selected a couple of flowers and left the rest to her. The results were magical! I couldn't believe the stunning bouquets she created! Her eye for beauty and detail can make the simple spectacular!
Monica is a lovely florist, with a good sensibility for how to put together pretty bouquets. She organized a little workshop at a bridal shower at my house for a very reasonable price. She brought tons of beautiful flowers, and each of the guests made their own really cool bouquet. She clearly went out of her way in terms of flowers. The downside was that she got to the party and hour late. (pooh) but it was the same day as bay to breakers... If I had it to do over again, I would have made sure she knew my address and had a plan to be there on time. However, Her shop is amazing and I'm so glad to have one in the neighborhood, Plus she's a small business to support. I would definitely recommend!

monica was kind enough to take over as florist for my wedding when our prior florist fell through with just weeks before the date. she was so very helpful and attentive in our time of *major* stress. she made mock ups for our review, talked us through every detail and came up with several ideas to make sure that everything came in well within budget.
...and the flowers turned out perfectly, even better than i had pictured. monica's designs were unique and innovative but yet exactly in line with our vision. we received so many compliments and i couldn't stop staring at the flowers all night long. i highly recommend this shop and will definitely be a long time customer!
I love this flower shop. I walked in the day before my wedding at about 1pm and was freaking out because I just didn't have the time to do my own flowers as I had hoped to do. I had a budget and not a lot of time. The owner hooked me up! She made me the most amazing floral arrangements and bridesmaid bouquets!!! I was blown away. The flowers were so beautiful and she was so very nice. Please go to this flower shop. You will not be disappointed. And if you need wedding flowers that are stunning and more than you could imagine this is the place to go.

Not sure of the specific address, but its right on fell st. in front of the Bank of America, flowers sitting out on the sidewalk, you can't miss it.
