I just came back from my honeymoon and now that I'm back and recollecting my thoughts about the wedding, I don't think I would have been able to do it SANELY without Maneeja. When I first contacted her over the phone, we spoke about the overall plan/expectations.  When I mentioned that our wedding is going to be small/intimate, in my husband's parent's garden/back yard and I hoped that having such a small wedding would be ok/worth her time, etc...She said that they consider each wedding the same, no matter how large/small or how large/small a budget...they feel that each one is special!  So, that was great to hear.

Maneeja was pleasant and helpful...gave us a lot of great ideas and really made me feel at ease!  She really seemed to get our vibe and knew exactly what we were looking for!  :)  

So, five stars for the AWESOME Maneeja and for how beautiful the wedding decor turned out and how I had no complaints from anybody - but only praises for her and her team. I recommend her HIGHLY!

I used Velvet Rope Special Events for a masquerade holiday party just recently and absolutely loved them. They went out of their way to make sure all their details were perfected and even dressed up in costume to top it all off. I would recommend using them again in a heartbeat!

I've used this event planning company for our company party, and they were great! They were very professional and the staff was super hot! They saved us a lot of money and time and I would absolutely use them again. But next time I would call them a lot earlier in the planning phase. I called them right in the middle and we had to restart everything because their ideas were so different and unique.

I'm not sure about the review about Maneeja being unprofessional - she was very professional with our company and exceeded our expectations from an event planner. I highly recommend them!

Looks like today is the day to review this business. Well, I have to say that these girls are wonderful. Although it did take some time for them to return my initial call, and I was about to go with another planner, but I'm glad I didn't. They gave me some great ideas for my garden party, which I am going to use in the future, the prices were fairly good too. I thought it was a little pricey at first but I realized that when I didn't have to do a single thing and my event went just as I had hoped, if not more, it was worth the money. They have some good vendors on their team as well, and they don't mind giving recommendations and advise even if you're not going to use them. So event if you just want some advise on how to throw a great party, I would recommend giving them a call.

Our wedding could not have been any more stress free. Having Velvet Rope Special Events coordinate our wedding gave me and my husband the piece of mind to enjoy our special day. We were able to focus on each other and having fun rather than worry about the details. We had an amazing day and really owe a large part of that to Velvet Rope.

Horrible experience with this company and I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND them.

Velvet Rope Events was our original wedding coordinator. We hired Maneeja based on her sweet personality and her promise to meet with each of our vendors in person to ensure that our wedding day went as smoothly as possible. She seemed to understand the vision that we were going for. During the month leading up to our wedding day, I would give her details of things we would like to see happen during the actual day. Everything seemed fine, she seemed to be on top of things.

Fast forward, a week before our wedding, she started lagging in her response to my emails. Then we find out from each of our vendors that she had not contacted any of them to confirm any details. None of them have even heard of her! We called her back to find out how this could have happened, and she tells us they she did indeed contact every single vendor...our caterer, florist, photographer, baker. We hadn't even booked our baker yet, how could she have contacted them?? She begged us to give her another chance, but our wedding day is a once in a lifetime event, that we could not leave simply up to chance. Due to her unprofessionalism and dishonesty, we had to fire her. We have attempted to get our deposit back based on the fact that she breached the contract which stated that she would be in contact with our vendors 4-6 weeks before our wedding day. She refused to refund our deposit stating that her day-of coordination list of duties, was not a part of the actual contract. She insists on keeping our deposit for doing not one ounce of work for our wedding. We plan on filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

This is an extremely unethical company and I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND them.
