I used to be a vegetarian.  I have fond memories of a vegan chinese place on the outskirts of atlanta.  It had a wide exciting menu much like vegetarian wok.

The difference was it didn't suck.  It wasn't grossly oily, unrefined, bland, cheap, and altogether disappointing.

VEGETARIANS EAT UR HEART OUT!

A little pricey, but great dishes with yummy sauces. My favorites are the fish with hot bean sauce and kidney with basil. The waitresses don't talk much, but they're helpful. Not crowded on a weekday. And you might hear Chris Brown in the background... "kiss kiss.."

Now on to my second favorite vegetarian restaurant ... Vegetarian Wok.
Don't expect fabulous customer service, because you won't find it here. They do bring out the food pretty quickly, which is always a plus. Most importantly, the food is good. I'm not giving it 5 stars because it still can't compare to the one that closed down awhile ago (and also because I've had way better in Asia).

I usually order:
Chinese bread (steamed not fried...too much oil)
Deep fried vegetarian fish in hot bean sauce (I dip my bread in the sauce)
Vegetarian sweet and sour pork chop
Pickle green mustard with bean curd sheet
Deep fried vegetarian chicken tenders
Vegetarian ground meat with vermicelli
Steamed vegetarian ham with bean curd

That's all folks!

I used to eat here so much I am literally sick of it.  But its one of the few really good chinese vegetarian food places and my parents dont know where else to go.  They have good lunch specials, and its good for mini family banquets.  They have banquet packages of a huge amount of food of like 10 dishes for 110 dollars.  Ive had almost everything on the menu.  The family's brother opened the other veggie restaurant down the street at the bowling alley across from the new 168 market.
I would say my favorites are
General Tso's Chicken (fried mushroom)
Bean Curd sheets with pickled vegetable
Hot and Sour Soup
Shark Fin Soup
Fried Chicken
Spicy 5 ingredients with black bean sauce
spinach and tofu with veggie ham special dish
veggie fish in special bean sauce
bamboo and bean curd
sweet and sour pork

I dont recommend the following (which most people seem to order their first time)
- kung pao chicken
- shrimp with cashew and cucumber

btw, they are closed from 3 to 5pm and one of the weekdays.  Also on the days when most of the customers are practicing the buddhist eat vegetarian for the day comes around, they dont take reservations.  they also dont take reservations on high volume days like chinese new year or mothers day.  the bathroom is also a bit gross and they only have one each for male and female.  If you dont want food spicy you can tell them.
Also like any other chinese food place, they have the fresh vegetable of the day not listed on their menu, so if you just want stir fried vegetable, ask them what they have available and they will cook it up for you.  (usually oily, but is that a surprise?)

Went there for lunch on a Sunday afternoon; I was early enough (11:00a) to beat the crowd coming in.

They have their lunch specials for under $7 includes entree, and a choice of porridge/congee w/ the fried/steamed buns (they look more like rolls to me) or soup.  The pet peeve was the per person ordering; if a additional member in your party do not order they charge a extra $1 for the non-eating member!!! What the ...? =(

Ok the food; excellent taste and portions for what you are paying for. Just right for the taste buds.  The trick to all the Chinese veggie places: soy, and gluten like flour to mimic the texture of the various-like meats and the mixture of seasonings and veggies to the taste.

Just your typical average Chinese restaurant except that it's vegetarian food. Located in a very Asian plaza, this corner restaurant can be a major annoyance to park at.

Now this may not seem that good to most people, but when vegetarian food passes for your normal everyday fare, that's more than decent. The lunch portions are respectable while the dinner serving sizes are downright gluttonous which is of course reflected in the price. My favorites are the deep fried fish that sits on the spicy side and has a bit of a chewy texture though I would like water chestnut bits to make it a better dish. The General Tso's Chicken is sweet and nicely fried and worth a try. My favorite though is the Kidney and Basil dish. The taste is good with the basil paring and hints of chili, but what draws me in the most is the texture of the bean curd that's been scored with diagonal slices. The better to chew with my dear. The kidneys burst upon being bitten and though that may not sound pretty to most people, that's music to my taste buds.

If you do take out for lunch, keep in mind that the Chinese Bread and the Porridge and Soup are only available when dining in. To go orders will just have to tough it.

Great and cute vegetarian food! The menu contains "chicken," "pork," and "fish," but don't worry it's not real meat. Instead of using meat in their dishes they use other foods such as gluten, taro, and tofu and disguise them so that they resemble meat. I love how your order comes with steamed/fried buns and rice porridge. I recommend any dish on the menu. It's cute how in a pork spare rib dish, instead of ribs there's fried taro cubes. And the fish dish is actually tofu covered with seaweed. Good atmosphere and good food at great prices.

Vegetarian Wok is a star place to get Chinese Vegetarian Food!  They serve many exotic dishes that make my mouth water.  Their many pages of dishes include dishes like vege fish with bean sauce (a favorite of mine).  The atmosphere is friendly.

During lunch, they have a lunch special where they give free soup and rice or free porridge and bread with any dish.  This is a good deal if you ask me.  Affordable, delicious dishes, and healthy too!  at Vegetarian Wok.

There are also snack shops and bakeries nearby for a light sweet snack.
