I recently moved up to Napa from Sacramento and was in search of a good hair salon and found Vanity here on yelp so I decided to check it out today. I had a trim done by Taryn who was awesome and very friendly, she even let me put my iphone into the stores ihome so I can listen to some of my tunes while getting my hair cut which was out of this world! :) The service and quality were both GREAT!! The prices are a little more expensive than I am used to but I say it is definitely worth it.
I walked into Vanity with a nasty head of long, wavy hair. I walked out with beautiful, flowing locks and a smile on my face. Cindy is an amazing stylist and an awesome person, this is the only place to get a new do in Napa.
I tried this place because of the great reviews on here. I had gone to another salon in Napa where someone has jacked up my hair and cut it into a soccer mom-ish boring 'do. Cindy did my hair and she knew exactly why I hated what the other girl did, what I wanted, and how to do it. It was a great experience and she could not have been nicer. FYI, they do not take credit cards, which is a bit of a bummer for people like me who never carry cash around, so make sure you have cash or a check. I will definitely be visiting her again, she rocks!
Great new salon in Napa that has total rock 'n roll vibe in an otherwise stodgy town. Cindy, the owner, is one great stylist and an awfully fun lady to talk to. I definitely recommend giving her a call whether you live in the area or if you're just visiting. They also do nails and massages, so it's great for all your pampering.
Fantastic salon ran by the classiest gal in town. Cool decor, great atmosphere. A unique salon experience, truly better than your run of the mill salon.
A fun and exciting Salon... Come join us Tuesday Thru saturday
Awesome salon!! Great stylists. I personally see Taryn (every 4 weeks) to keep my dark blonde hair a nice shade close to platinum--not an easy feat, mind you--and she does it all while keeping my hair soft and healthy!! Kudos to her!! She also recently cut my boyfriend's hair for the first time and did a fab job and he will now be seeing her regularly as well.
Also, they do alot here--the usual salon stuff: cut, color, etc, but also massage, nails, pedis, extensions. They have it all!!
Go to Vanity. You will not be disappointed!!
I just moved to Napa and don't have a stylist so I read the reviews for this salon and decided to give it a go. When I first came in the girls weren't specially nice, but they weren't rude either. They were OK. At the consultation, I told the stylist (Becky) that I ALWAYS wore my hair wavy when styled. We then went to the shampoo area and I asked her what product/shampoo would be good for a dry scalp/oily hair. She kind of brushed off the question and didn't really ever give me an answer. I don't remember if they had products for sale at their store, but I can't imagine they are getting any profit from that. Then she cut my hair and it was the worst hair cut I have ever gotten. It wasn't THAT bad, it was just not what I wanted and I'm not even that picky! I guess I've just had more luck at other salons because I've always liked their hair cuts. To top it all off she straightened my hair with a flat iron- after I had initially told her I ALWAYS wore my hair wavy. I ended up looking like Marla Hooch (pre-makeover) from "A League of Their Own". The hair cut was $45 and I feel like I would've gotten the same hair cut at the Hair Cuttery or one of those cheap $10 places. My money was not well spent and needless to say, I am never going back there.
