Who knew there would be a vampire-themed wine bar hiding in Beverly Hills? Although I say vampire, it's not a "creepy" environment. The bartenders were great, and very knowledgeable about the wines.

We indulged on a bottle of Fangria, which is their style of sangria. According to our man, the grapes are imported from Spain! We consumed a good amount of bloody liquid (okay, wine) within a couple of hours, while we munched on a fromage plate (three-four different cheeses - oops I can't remember.)

I'd love if they started serving tapas-style plates as well!

Either way, I'll definitely be back.

This is a tiny little wine room off the beaten path with a great selection of wines. They have a few overpriced noshes, but really, come for the wine. The Pinot Grigio and Fangria were both very tasty. However, the reason for my three star review:

    1. The atmosphere is...well...boring. I'm sure if you're looking for a super quiet place to have a glass of wine with a date, you'll be seduced. Me personally, I like a more traditional bar environment. Loud and exciting.

    2. The decor was cute, but the lighting and music didn't make me feel very vampiric.

    3. There's just kind of nothing to do. I think this was a cute place and I had a good time for my sister's birthday. But we were all kind of done and over it by 9:30pm.

I was out with my cousin as she was moving out of state. We met up for dinner, and decided to come here for some wine. I've been here once before, and I'd figure she would dig the vibe. I was right.
Parking can get hectic sometimes along this street, but we lucked out and found parking a stone's throw away form the main entrance. We walked in and were met with a warm welcome. The guy tending to this place was a pretty cool dude from Bosnia. We helped us pick some good wine, and we had a good conversation about many topics.
The wine was phenomenally good. The first I tried was the Vampire Pinot Noir. I'm a fan of red wine, and this definitely hit the spot. I actually forgot the name of the second wine I tried, but it is one of their sweeter varieties. My cousin had white wine, as she likes the fruitier tasting drinks.
The place has a very interesting and intimate decor. Red and black are one of my favorite color combinations, and this place was definitely decorated in good taste. They have the small bar area on the first floor, and they have a nice lounge upstairs. It is definitely a good place to take a date, or to stop by with some friends.
Located in posh Beverly Hills, this place is definitely a highlight of this world famous city. Check it out!

Not sure why people are dumping on it. It's nice, small, and wasn't too loud. The wines were good. The atmosphere subdued but comfortably so. Nice place to talk with business or friends. No real food to speak of so don't expect any. It's a tasting room for wine and a nice one at that.

    This place is seriously cool!

I came here with my partner in January and although the there was only one other couple in there with us the entire two hours we were there - I loved it.

They really play up the vampire element all around this place and even he Nosferatu playing on a flat screen in the bathroom! It's very dark, rich in color and there's tons of neat stuff to look at upstairs. They even have a Vampire Tarot Card collection!

We got a bottle of Draculas merlot and I regret opening it! I wish I would've saved it but I highly recommend checking it out.

I plan on returning for some more bottles next time I visit LA.

Pros: The wine was great!  You can do flight tasting of their specialty wines, all the reds, all the whites, etc...or a bottle.  We only drank half and she re-corked it so we could take the rest home.
The venue itself is neat, dark, good décor for "vampire" theme with candles, gargoyles, mirrors and masks, vaulted ceiling....
It was a quiet place and we got excellent service
Cons: It's located in an odd spot (across from Peninsula) where there isn't much else.  They should move the venue.
It's small so I suggest you make reservations or go during a week night.
They only serve cheeses and breads.  We were hoping for some appetizers and desserts on the menu.
    No parking except meters outside.
    Little pricey.

If I could give this place a zero I would . I have never experienced such awful customer service . At 10:45 Saturday the 6th of February a woman working behind the bar told my friend and I that they were at capacity . We walked in and clearly it was not full whatsoever . We then ventures upstairs and she asked us if we were there for a private party . I asked her if this was reservation only and she rudely said "yes" . This was a very disappointing experience as my friend had been before and was a member of the wine club,  said they do not have reservations upstairs and the staff is usually lovely. Whichever staff member was working should be in the back room as customer service is not her forte . I would not recommend stepping foot into an establishment that hires staff who treat customers so rudely ! Truly disappointing

I've lived in the area for years and had no idea this place existed.  Nestled on Little Santa Monica Blvd, just a few blocks away from Beverly Hills High School, this place is quaint with a ton of charm.  There is a small food menu so don't plan on really eating there, it's not great.  But the wines are really good.  My second visit there, my friend had a Living Social deal for the wine flights for 2 which we happily partook in.  I will say the "manager" was friendly but completely useless.  He was not knowledgeable of the menu and seemed very overwhelmed when other customers also needed his attention.

But overall, a really cute spot.

At 10:45 pm  worst Bar ever !!
I called they said they were solid booked . I walked in and it was NOT  full ... It was DEAd as a funeral .. Empty .. Just the bartender attending close friends.... As we were going up stairs the bartender pretty much yelled at us saying we need reservations to go upstairs... She basically said to go away....
Wow she does not know who I am who I know as I do PR .

came here with the missus while looking up lounges. came across here because of the decor and special wines. service was great and environment is quiet. ordered a bottle of their "fangria" sangria. it was tops. not too sweet but just enough and flavorful. they have a chess table downstairs and a lounge upstairs with classics by rice, shakespeare, and dante. enjoy some goat, meunster, and mild cheese along with proscuitto with your wine as well. an eclectic selection of whites and reds for your enjoyment. if you cannot pick, there are also samplers available for your taste. such a nice getaway. will be back again.

Interior/ambience: perfect 5. Lots of intricate details that add a lot of character. It almost feels like you're invited to someone's house and you're chilling in the living room as his or her guest. Even the bar area is very small and close that everyone ended up talking together by the end of the night. Very intimate and quiet. It was the perfect kind of atmosphere my husband enjoys (boring and quiet and low-key). Although, I will say it was weird that they were playing top 40 music throughout the night.

Wine: We got the living social wine tasting deal. $25 wine tasting for two which is a fantastic deal. I got the white flight and my husband got the red flights. You have a lot more to choose from when you do the red flight. My husband really enjoyed the cab and the Shiraz. I'm not much of a wine person. I'm more of a bottled water girl. I may not be able to tell you about the white wines I tried, but I sure can give a darn good critique of the different types of bottled water brands if you're ever interested.

Cheese plate: aka "fromage" in vampire language. I think it was around $12. It was nice to have something to nibble on but there wasn't a lot of variety in the cheese.

Service: 5 the bartender adriana(?) is extremely sweet and cute. I felt like I was in her house and she was a gracious host - just the way service should be.

Chess: now this is what made the bar from a 4 to a 5. My husband has been talking a lot of trash about beating me in chess so I just had to shut him up. We were the two nerdy Asians playing chess in the corner of the bar. With the wine tasting, chess and talking to other people, we ended up staying there for three hours! My husband and I were so proud of ourselves for staying up until midnight! (If you're married, you will understand why that's such a big deal.)

Location/parking: great Beverly Hills location. You're a couple of blocks from Sprinkles cupcake, rodeo drive shopping and all the eateries around. You can do street parking on Santa Monica. You won't have a problem finding spots on a weekend night.

I went here about a month ago with 4 other friends.  We had a Groupon and a reservation....  For some mysterious reason,  the reservation didn't take.  So,  we had to sit down stairs in a very small lounge area.

We really didn't know much about the wines they offered so we proceeded to ask questions. I guess this pissed the bartender off because he was very rude to us.  He seems bothered by us.  One of my friends who had previously been there said a different guys worked there who was much more pleasant.

If we had not had good friends around to lighten up the mood,  this place would have gotten 1 star !

The only cool place in Beverly Hills. I have always felt welcome there. I love the dark vibe and the delicious wine. The cabaret night on Thursday is my favorite! The girls are so creative with their performances and are bringing something truly original. The bartender Clint really takes care of everyone there. He's so nice and easy on the eyes! I'll be back every week.

I purchased a Groupon to this place.  I called and made a reservation a few weeks in advance for my friend's birthday.   When we arrived the place was EXTREMELY small and they could not accommodate four of us sitting together.  The manager, Milton, was extremely rude and unprofessional.

    I would never return here.

What kind of Vampire Bar doesn't have a coffin? Seriously... This place needs assistance in spooking the place up and general interior decor tips on true vampire design...their only real decor here is advertising their own products which isn't good enough if you are a true vamp enthusiast. The service here was very good, and the location is great. The wines were very tasty. However, they could really use some more food. All they have are some very basic snack options. Overall this place is ok, but very limited with what they offer. You couldn't really spend a lot of time here, with limited food, limited beverages and limited space.

This place is small but super quaint. They have a bar area, an upstairs lounge with couches, a small game table and then a wall mounted shelf that served as another bar area. Nicely placed seating in such a tight space.

The service was great! The bartender was super sweet and was awesome keeping everyone happy, chatted up and with full glasses! :)

Before ordering, we walked upstairs to check out the lounge seating area, and we kinda walked in on a couple so we thought we'd give them some privacy and walk back downstairs. LOL! It's a public space folks...keep it PG!

We sat at the game table by the window and played a game of chess while we enjoyed our flights of wine. I ordered the Vampire Flight($20) and my friend ordered the Trublood flight ($30). Each had 5 samples consisting of 2 whites and 3 reds. Both were fantastic, I think I enjoyed the Trublood tastes a bit more though as they weren't as dry.

It was a Saturday night, but we didn't have to fight for parking at all. There was plenty of street parking right outside the store front.

I didn't think the place needed to be dimmer at all. The lighting was perfection. What got me was the vampire inspired movie playing on one of the walls, haha! They had it muted and the closed captioning on so you weren't yelling over the movie sounds. We were easily able to ignore it throughout the night, though.

Super cute first date spot! :) Definitely a conversation stater if nothing else!

If you want to experience what it would be like to be a vampire, this is the place for you. Decadent furnishings, cold, and no sign of daylight. Enjoy the atmosphere while drinking on blood red wine to satisfy your thirst.

Btw, look for Taylor. He's the best bartender and gives the warmest welcomes. Be sure to tip him well... he knows his stuff!

Really good wines, though a bit pricey. We went for the Wine & Tricks evening and it was a lot of fun. The evening included five HUGE pours, a dark chocolate bar, and a 45 minute magic show. We had only finished three of the wines when it was time to move upstairs for the entertainment. We were allowed to take our wine with us and return to the bar after the show for our remaining wines.

My only complaint is the GPS had a hard time locating the building. We ended up in the Beverly Hilton were the concierge gave us walking directions to the tasting room.

Came here the other day and sat at the bar with the "wine" guy. He was super nice and friendly. Definitely made the experience awesome since we've never been there. We did the red flight an all the wines were amazing! Definitely try the true blood ones!
We also got the cheese and meat plate which went perfectly. He even gave us more bread :)

We each got one of those gargoyle statue for checking in and taking a picture of it.
