On a night when you're super drunk and can not, absolutely get on the freeway... this is the only thing that's left... by all means, check in. The staff at night is really nice and doesn't question or give you dirty looks when you can't sign your name perfectly on the line. From what I remember, the beds nice, the bathroom smelled good.... the temperature was fine.

I would say... its A-OK.

Avoid at all costs!

We recently made a reservation for 2 nights, based on what we saw on this hotel's website, it was close to where we needed to be and looked decent enough.

When we arrived in town we were tired post-airport, and just wanted to lie down. We got to the hotel and it looked pretty dodgy, so we asked to see the room first. Since the place is right on the street we wanted to get a room in the back, to be told that all the queen bed rooms were on the street, the ones in the back were all 2 double beds. Whatever.

We took the key and went up to the room, ugh! Ugly, smelled of smoke, broken fixtures in the tub, everything was really run-down. We laid down on the beds (after pulling back the disgusting bedspreads), extremely uncomfortable. We then pulled out the phone book and looked for another hotel, which was difficult because there were no yellow pages.

We went back down to the desk and said that it was unsatisfactory and that we were canceling the reservation. The rude clerk said that she'd have to charge us 1 night. She also sent someone up to inspect the room after complaining about how long we has spent there. This person reported on the phone that we had "used the beds", accusing us of having had sex. We asked for the manager, who of course was not available, and finally just left. The hotel eventually charged us a strange amount (less than a night's stay), which we disputed with the credit card company, who we had called immediately after leaving there.

I'd give 0 stars if I could.

re's a certain feeling one gets when they stay at hotels that have their prices, low as they may be, prominently presented on signs outside. Sometimes the one in front of the Valley Park Hotel reads 69 dollars, other times 89. It's still a bargin for what you get, though some would question if it's what you need.

I come to the Valley Park when I need a vacation and can't afford to go away. It's cheap, I can usually convince myself to spend two nights enjoying the jacuzzi tub and huge comfy beds, watch some in-room TV and read while listening to CDs on the in-room CD player. It's all sorts of comfortable, and if you're the kind who can expense account a night or two to do work in a hotel, this is one of the good ones.

It's location is solid, right across the street from Felafel Drive-In, down the way from Valley Fair and Santana Row, not too far from two different movie theatres. It's a good location.

The food is OK. Well, that's not true. If it weren't included with the stay, I'd complain. The breakfasts are crappy, the dinners might have their moments, but I've never had anything very good. But, as a place that give you free juice and maybe a bagel with peanut butter for breakfast, it's not a bad deal.

There's WiFi here, as they say, though it's been spotty the times I've tried to use it. That's a bummer.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Its an extended stay type room for only 99 bucks a night with a hot tub in the room, a flat screen TV, a huge bed, CD player, stove top, fridge, the works. It looks like a hole in the wall place but its actually kinda nice in the rooms. The breakfast was not good, and the dinner was pretty bad, but the mall is only a block away so whatever. This was place was cool and unexpected. I had a very fun and romantic night.
