Omg, these guys are a lifesaver. I was looking everywhere to find a graduation Lei for my friend's graduation. I couldn't find it any of the stores that I went to and today, my mom told me about the florist right on McKee. So happy that I found them. Told them that I wanted a Lei and next thing you know, the florist and I were picking which color of carnations. Picked a purple, hot pink, and orange carnation lei. I will definitely come again for more leis.

Dropped by feelin' a little romantic. Came here on a random rainy day hoping to find something different. BINGO!! I found some cool long stem glass roses ;) Forget floral petals that will die, Im all about long lasting impressions. I was lucky enough put something together and the worker here was helpful and patient. It took me about 1/2 hr to figure out how my personal masterpiece would evolve. It was already time to close the shop up, but the dude helped me and didn't rush me at all.
I ended up getting 2 long stem glass roses and a dozen Merilyn Monroe colored roses in an elegant slim glass vase filled with luxurious fill-ins and crystal-like rocks.

1.5 STARS, ONLY because they finally managed to get my mother's flowers delivered by the end of Mother's Day. Otherwise, I would have really given them 0 STARS, if I could.
So here is my story:
I placed an order online for the pink poodle arrangement (http://www.yelp.com/bi...) to be shipped to mom's salon. I wanted to get something different and unique for my mom, because she gets pretty bored with the typical roses and tulips. The pink poodle caught my eye, so I went with that. The total came to about $70 with shipping. Yeah, I know...expensive! If you're going to buy anyone flowers, be prepared to spend some cash because flowers are not cheap!
Well anyway, Mother's Day came around and I had been anticipating all day for my mom's call. Six o'clock came around and no call. Her salon closed at five. I thought maybe she was busy, so I gave her a call and I realized that she hadn't received anything. I know, right? I was pretty annoyed and upset. I called the florist and luckily they were still open. They had assured me that it had been delivered and that the driver was due back in 10 minutes, so they would call me back to confirm. Almost half an hour later, the florist calls me back and regrets to inform me that the driver did not make it to the salon in time. They offered to deliver the arrangement to my mom's home. I was pretty upset, so I asked about the shipping fee. They said they would waive the fee and the arrangement ended up arriving at approximately 8:30pm that night, which was practically the end of the day.
I am not sure if I was the only case, but something like this is pretty unforgivable; especially when they practically ruined a special day. Unless you want to risk having your flowers delivered late, I wouldn't suggest going to Valley Florist. -

I was looking for a local place to order flowers to take to a funeral, I read the reviews on yelp and was completly happy that I choise Valley Florist. I ordered the medium arrangement, and was pleasantly suprised at the size and how beautiful it was when I arrived to pick them up. They even carried it out to my car. I will always use them from now on.

I searched over 20 websites to find the perfect floral wreath for my grandfather's funeral. Valley florist had the best selection and delivered a heart shaped wreath that was even more beautiful in person than online! The best part was that they did it with only 2 days notice and the service when I called in the order was exceptional. They were incredibly nice and assured me that I absolutely wouldn't have to worry about the flowers getting to the church on time. My grandmother was brought to tears at how beautiful the arrangement was and we actually chose it as the one we'd keep, it's sitting next to me right now!! A great San Jose business. Would highly recommend!

Initially, my experience here wasn't bad. I had come in for a birthday arrangement and walked out with something that I wanted.
Valentine's Day rolls around and since this is in the vicinity, I thought I'd come to see if they could help me out again.
These people limited me to a book which was shocking for me (why would I pay you for generic flowers), and I'm quite the creative perfectionist and if I'm sending flowers to someone I like... I don't want it scream vagina with the flamboyance because obviously they'll more likely have balls.
Was going to seal the deal reluctantly, but decided that I was better off somewhere else because it smelled DISASTER.
And I'm truly thankful that I did. -

I went in here looking to buy a $40 bouquet for a friend's graduation. I entered the store, walked around 2 times, and finally got a "How can I help you?" Honestly, there were no other customers in that entire store. I let the man know what kind of bouquet I wanted, and he said he couldn't do it. I wasn't frustrated because he couldn't do the bouquet I wanted. I was frustrated at the fact he didn't even bother to offer any other suggestions of which I would have totally been open to. He only continued to arrange some other arrangement. There was also another female (or 2) working behind the counter, and she didn't even really help me. Although she did ask, "How can I help you?" later of which I responded I was leaving to find another place. I definitely would never come back to this place and would probably advise friends who live around there not to either.

Let's just say, getting flowers here was probably the best experience I may have among other places. They were helpful on helping me choosing flowers, and what goes with what colorwise, and including making the flowers that I wanted look really nice and how I wanted it. Yes for a girl like me, I'm really picky, but they really did it nice.
It could be a little pricey, but I think if you wanted to get something cheaper, I think you may have to drive a bit farther, and waste more gas, which means more money for you to waste on gas and flowers. Overall they do have some cheap things under 25 dollars at the store also. -

I came in today with a student who wanted to get flowers for her friend in the hospital (see my Kaiser review). We were promptly greeted and asked if we needed assistance. The ladies behind the counter were super sweet and we were able to get a very purple inspired bouquet with a variety of flowers for under 25 bucks which was nice. Why the four stars you ask? I can get a cheaper bouquet with tons of more flowers in Santa Cruz. for the same amount of money.
They also had some cute stuffed animals, trinkets and cards.
I highly recommend if you are in ESSJ! -

In taking a break from my NZ yelps, but continuing on the garden/floral theme, I will take this opportunity to share my thoughts on Valley Florist (FKA Conroy's Flowers).
I truly love giving flowers to loved ones as much as (if not more than) receiving them (both KMS and I share that sentiment). So, when it came time for one of my BFFs birthday last week, I wanted to send her a very unique birthday arrangement. Of course, I looked to my beloved Yelp to help me. After some research and perusing the different arrangements, I decided on Valley Florists.
VF's website was very easy to navigate, and even offered same day delivery. They have a variety of arrangements (from birthday to holiday, with some specials as well). Prices are reasonable for SV standards.
I picked the perfect perfect birthday arrangement that best suited my BFFs personality (as she loves flowers and is a flower expert). It included roses, carnations, Viking poms, and other fresh flowers in a green tin bucket. Sounds different, no? Check out the pic and see how cool the arrangement really is.
The online order form was simple and was placed the day before her birthday around 3pm. The following day, her actual birthday, the flowers arrived by 10am. The birthday girl was extremely happy and grateful. Apparently, in all of her floral experiences, she had never seen an arrangement like the one I gave her before. Suhweet! Awesomeness!! I forgot to ask her to take a pic of it to compare with the pic on the website, but I'm fairly certain it resembled what was on the website. I was so happy to make her feel loved on her birthday (especially since I wasn't able to greet and celebrate with her on that day)!
Thanks so much Valley Florist for helping me send a lil' birthday cheer with a beautiful and cool arrangement in an efficient manner. One day, I hope to check out the store front.
Cheers! -

Everything you need in a florist, quick, easy, not overly expensive, and great service.
Oh and of course the flowers are beautiful!
They also do gift baskets, special occasion gifts, wedding flowers, and deliver nationwide.
You get the professional quality of a large florist but are supporting your local business, what else could you ask for!? -

You know, I'm not a flower person at all, but I know quality...
I've come here many times over the past few years. For both of my parents' funerals, my wedding, and little presents I'd have delivered to family / friends. I've never been disappointed. The flowers always come looking superb, and somehow stay fresh and beautiful for weeks.
Prices aren't bad either. I was surprised.
They usually have pretty knowledgeable, and accommodating staff, and I've never been disappointed with the respect and professionalism they always have for their customers. By far, the best flower shop in the area. -

Overall not a great experience.
I regularly procure the flowers for my office space, usually between 3 and 6 bouquets a week and I've gotten them from all kinds of places from Citi's to Costco, even the Campbell farmer's market. I usually arrange them myself (it's a hobby of mine), but when we had a big event coming up at the office I wanted to save myself some time and energy.
So I decided to pre-order my flowers from Conroy's (it's close to my house) and have them arrange them for me.
Customer service: I originally came here because on a spur-of-the-moment visit to the store a few months ago I was greeted by a very friendly gentleman who informed me that the got deliveries every day (yay freshness!) and could special order whatever I needed. Throughout my entire experience, however, I was waited on by an older woman who didn't seem to comprehend anything I was telling her and certainly didn't seem to want my business.
She was unclear about the whole process (when she needed the vases, and that she needed them BEFORE she could even order the flowers, despite the fact that I told her exactly how many of everything I needed with the exception of the large arrangement). At one point she told me there was "no way" 20 tulips would fit in my vases. And yet, when I arrived to pick them up, there they were, 20 tulips in each vase, just like every time I've arranged them.
Price: 1 of 5 stars. These guys have got to be kidding. For five "arrangements" I paid $323.33. Three of the five involved nothing more than chopping the ends off 10 or 20 of the same flower and plunking them into the vases I provided. The 2 arrangements consisted of 2 dozen roses in a fishbowl and one large approx. 45-stem bouquet with ranunculus', spray roses and anemones (I think).
To put it in perspective: for that price, almost to the penny, I could have all the same arrangements WITH vases AND delivered to my door (I had to pick up from Conroy's) by my favorite online flower site, whose quality is comparable if not better.
Quality: 3 of 5 stars. The flowers looked good. The yellow tulips I ordered were practically white, not the sunshine yellow I was expecting, but I also didn't get specific, so I let it slide. The ranunculus bouquet should have been kept unrefrigerated on Wednesday, as most of the blooms refused to open until late in the afternoon on the day of my event, leaving me with an unimpressive and mostly green display for our attendees arrival. And less than a week later? I've chucked all but the sunflowers. I was picking spent blooms from the big bouquet one day after picking them up and about half the roses have wilted. The tulips all fell over, but tulips are generally picky flowers, so I won't count that against them.
My order: 10 small sunflowers, 20 red tulips, 20 yellow tulips, 24 orange roses and one approx. 45-stem arrangement of ranunculus, spray roses and anemones. Total price: $323.33
All in all, I won't be going back. Heck, I get better quality, longer life and cheaper prices when I go to Costco. -

I got a nice bouquet wrap for a graduation. It was beautiful with a nice yellow/ orange/red/white color combination that they picked for me. Nice long stemmed bouquet for only $35.00. Will defiantly recommend them to anyone.

It's not very often that I receive a floral arrangement that someone ordered out of state that I am thrilled with the quality. This florist sent me a gorgeous floral arrangement in a beautiful reusable container. The flowers were gorgeous to begin with but the thing that impressed me the most was that they were still fresh and beautiful after several weeks. I noted the florist so that I could contact him directly for local deliveries. Ravi emailed me back with some suggestions to make my arrangement more appealing. He truly cares about his clients and will make every effort to ensure you are pleased with your flowers. I highly, highly recommend him when you want to send flowers that demonstrate how much you care about the person you are sending them to.

WOW!!! I called yesterday at 330 pm to see if they have any red/yellow bicolor roses in stock, no they dont, but they can get some, how many do I need and for when? I have ideas in my mind but dont really know how many I need, so I hang up, check the fabulous internet and call back at about 4 pm.
4pm... Hi, I need a dozen bicolor roses for today. Ravi says hold on a minute, comes back and says ok, since its rush hour traffic can you come a little after 5pm, I say ok and show up about 5pm, just then in comes the driver with my flowers! YAY!!!!!
The deigner left just before I got there so its Stefanie to the rescue. I decided on doing the bicolor roses myself at home since I didnt have the vase with me. I see cymbidium orchids and let Stefanie go to work on them.
A few years back I had a great florist with an awesome floral designer and unfortunately they went out of business, havent bought nice flowers since and have suffered with grocery store flowers since....
But now I have Ravi and his wife and their team!!!! and they are wonderful and I truly felt I got excellent service and an exceptional value!
THANK YOU VALLEY FLORIST!!!!! -

These people saved the day! I ordered special flowers for a funeral service somewhere else and I asked that if for any reason they would not be able to have then that they call me so I can make other arrangements. They didn't do that, so just as I'm heading down to the services, I stop to pick up the flowers and they aren't there. As I'm driving around frantically trying to find someplace that had 2 dozen non-rose white flowers, we finally reached Valley Florist. We told her the predicament and she pulled something together within minutes while we were on the road. She took our credit card over the phone, so we could literally do a drive by and grab them. My brother jumped out and go the flowers, so I don't know who he worked with, but she was running as fast as he was. In difficult times, that extra customer service goes a long way. I will go out of my way to use Valley florist again.
