Great independent Mac place with friendly, helpful employees. Not a great selection, but they'll happily order what they don't have. But that's just it: if you were willing to order something, why didn't you just buy it online in the first place. That's not why you go into a store like this -- it's for the people. That's why I'll always choose Valencia Mac over Mac Talk on the other side of town any day of the week. Each time I've gone into Valencia Mac, I've received great service. I can't say the same about Mac Talk.
I also had a good repair job done here, as well. It was a rush job -- a same-day turn. Better still, when they realized they'd under-quoted the cost of the parts, they honored the quote, anyway.
As with almost all other non-chain stores in Santa Clarita, I wish they had longer hours for those of us who work outside of the area (or at least be open both weekend days). -

Glad to see another Apple Reseller store in business here in SCV. In appearance, tt is as close to an Apple Sponsored store rather than a re-seller. They just moved over next to Target from their old location on Cinema Drive.
I tend to like this store over MacTalk, down the street. Sometimes, though, I have had to wait as long as an hour to get a technical issue with my Mac addressed, as they tend to become fragmented trying to help every customer that walks through the door, especially if that customer want's to ask questions about products they may buy. You'll get dumped until all potential customer's buying product are out of the store, then they'll get back to you.
The "kids" working in the store can be a little arrogant and totally ADD Can be annoying. In addition, I noticed they treat men with more respect than women, who I think they assume are less capable to understand their business. However, having said that, I would much rather go to Valencia Mac, than over to MacTalk......where they blow a little too much smoke over there. It seems to me that Valencia Mac is more reliable in terms of what they promise they can or cannot do. -

As other's have mentioned this store is new, has promise and will go thru the typical growing pains of being new. I stopped by yesterday to replace my battery for my Ipod. They didn't have it in stock? I then asked what I would be looking at in terms of price $30.00 bucks. I didn't want to wait for the shipment mind you this if for my 13 year old who can't live another day without it.! I wanted to give this shop a chance being new and local. I left and headed over to "Mac Talk" off of Magic Mountain Parkway where not only did they have it in stock but it was only $20.00 bucks!!
I think it is great we have a new store in the area and I'm willing to pay the "mark up" to avoid having to go to the SFV to buy MAC products. But cross check pricing locally before you make the trip. -

Good thing this Mac store survived unlike Mactalk which closed its store recently. This store I think will supplement nearby Applestore. Carry on Valenciamac, we need good competition for Mac services. My family had been Mac users and frequented this store in the past year.

Prices too high on non-Apple products, weak inventory, but very friendly!
For anyone who owns the new 24" LED display, a Mini-DisplayPort extension cable is a MUST. I can't believe these guys don't stock them. Booooo.
I keep thinking that one of these days there's be a Mac store up here that will eliminate the drive to the valley. At least these guys blow away Mac Talk! BTW, if you miss some of the old Mac Talk staff, they're down in Northridge at the Apple Store! -

My first choice for anything Mac. They are straight shooters that truly care about you and your issues, either support related or purchasing options. And now, with their new location, couldn't me more convenient. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly too which is honestly one of the first reasons I choose one merchant over another. Just great!

Well...I was going to go to Mac Talk but the Yelp reviews convinced me to go to Valencia Mac. Here's my experience...you decide for yourself:
Thursday - Call to inquire on dropping off my iMac. The rep on the phone was polite and explained that he could take my info over the phone and put me in a queue. Once my turn came up...they would call me and I could bring in the iMac for repair ---Hmmm...ok...wasn't expecting that but I understand...Apple requires appointments too.
Monday - Get a call that I can bring in the iMac anytime. I was out of town so I brought it in the next day.
Tuesday - Drop it off at 4ish and explain that the optical drive isn't working and I had performed the trouble shooting with Apple. The rep explained that they had to trouble shoot it themselves but I was "first up on the bench". They should be able to trouble shoot the problem easily and order the part overnight and have it by Friday (Thursday was Thanksgiving). Great...
Weds...Thurs....Fri....Sat....Sun...
Monday - I call to inquire on my iMac...the rep says...."oh yeah...we ordered the part yesterday...it should be ready by tomorrow". Wait...you're closed on Sunday and so is Apple. So apparently the order went out today (Monday)...almost a week after I dropped off the iMac. He apologized and said they were busy because of black Friday.....hmmmm...Black Friday??? I can imagine the line around the block waiting for their door busters....yeah right.
Tuesday - I call to check and they stated they were testing the new drive. I went in to pick it up...they were polite...no apology for the delay...just "thanks".
So...needless to say I was without my iMac for 1 1/2 weeks. I work near an Apple store but figured I would give the business to the little guy. Well...I'll think twice next time. -

This place is great if you need some new apple hardware or software. However, SCV iRepair is the place to go if you need anything fixed at a very affordable price, especially iphones!

My mom went in with problems with her Iphone. They knew exactly what to do and were very respectful. They also gave her a free case since she didn't have one. This was on their new location opening day so I can't promise they will do that all the time but it made the both of us really happy. We will always go back there if we need to buy anything or ask for technical help! Thank you Valencia Mac.

Early review, yes, but this place has a lot of promise. They seem completely serious about bringing a legit Mac shop to Valencia. They are in the soft open stage right now, but will be in full force in the next couple of weeks. Appears to be staffed by people with a lot of real-world Mac experience and they do warranty repairs in-house. I hope they can build a following before Apple drops their anchor, whenever that may be. But for now, a moment of silence for the imminent demise of Mac Talk, who let's be honest, had it coming.

Finally! A Mac store in the SCV! Actually, two of them as there's also MacTalk from Woodland Hills up here as well. I went to their grand opening and it's a nice, clean store. Albeit, really small. About 1/3 of the size of a typical Apple Store. It's mostly a hardware store as the only software I saw was mostly Apple's stuff and a couple of other titles like DiskWarrior. You'd still be better off at MacTalk software-wise for now. One really good thing about the store is the commitment to present a real Mac authority in Santa Clarita/Valencia and not just another store. To that end, the grand opening had a bunch of demos (albeit you couldn't hear them too well with no mic and lots of noisy kids) and more importantly, they've started up a Mac User Group for the area. Having been on the board of a similar UG back in New Orleans, I'm really excited about this. My only concern is that Nathan will make the mistake one of the previous president's of NOMUG made and make it nothing more than a promotional vehicle for his own shop. That became a major problem down south and drastically dropped membership over time to a bunch of old fogies. Still, I will definitely attend the meeting which occur on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 7pm.

On a couple of occasions....I've found these guy very expensive. A quote of a lcd iBook screen replacement although less expensive than the Apple store in Northridge.....a couple of hundred dollars mo' pricey than MacReboot in sacramento....free shipping there. They wanted to replace the whole cover and screen....I just called 'em for an O ring battery replacement and I was told the whole back cover would need replacing. It's a $1 piece of plastic. But, it's nice they're local, I guess.

I'm not a Mac man, but was talked into getting a Mac Pro laptop by, and for, my wife. After doing some looking around we decided to buy from Valencia Mac, and were not disappointed. It's a great family ran business with great service. I also bought an Apple TV. I can't say I'm a Mac man yet, but the Apple TV is great. I've had no problems with the purchased product, but have had some questions, which they have gladly addressed. It's nice to have a great Mac store in Santa Clarita and there's nothing offered in the Valley that you can't get here. Stop in a check them out. You won't be disappointed.
