Decent enough service - and a selection of papers and poster board. I also got some crayola (yes, really) art supplies here in a pinch for my (then) 4 year old.
Convenient location.
Nice to have an art supply place around. -

I've been in this store many times, mostly because of it's location, often because I waited for the last minute or have a coupon. I've never been impressed with their customer service.
For Halloween they carry the best face painting kit full of pictures, FDA-approved makeup, brushes & sponges.
I use their 20% off coupons to purchase Moleskine books from their great collection (favorites are the Japanese folding book & classic sketch pad).
I don't recommend buying specialty papers, foam core or vellum because of the high cost, but they do have competitive pricing on most other goods. -

I love deals. And that is why I now love Utrecht. For one of my classes to get my M.S. Ed. I needed to create artifacts from a made up civilization (yes, very strange). I went in search of an art store to generate some creativity. The people at Utrecht were very helpful, but my favorite part was when I checked out they asked if I was a student and gave my their 25% off student discount!
On another notes, the variety of products wasn't outstanding. -

I have been a customer of Utrecht's for about 3 years now. Yes, they are a bit pricier than Blick but at the same time, I know I can find parking across the street. Blick is by the Olive Garden/Capital Grille and finding parking there is always impossible.
The employees at Utrecht are super friendly and helpful. I always come in with a huge list of things to buy and I know I can find it all at Utrecht. I love how they have the carriers for art papers/boards unlike some other art stores which is extremely frustrating. And if you are a Utrecht club member they routinely send you 20% off coupons. And also a discount for just being an art student. Yay! -

The staff at this store are great, everyone is nice and helpful and they know what they are talking about. I love the fact that it is a little out of the way and never crowded. The store on Broad is a zoo by comparison.

This is my go-to store for art supplies. I tried Blick, and while the selection was nice, I felt like I was being followed and monitored the whole time by a very suspicious staff. Much better at Utrecht: you have to check your bag, but they leave you alone while you're perusing the supplies, and the staff has always been incredibly helpful and friendly. Also, great location! And though it may be temporary, there's also a price discount wheel by the cash register, where you get at least 15% off your total purchase.
