Review from matt c.
Nashville, TN
Great neighborhood cafe in a big old house! The charming young couple that owns and serves seem to make everything themselves: they roast their own coffee and bake their own bread and do it all with a smile. The house is very inviting. Eclectic furniture is strewn around inside and outside and you feel comfortable and relaxed at once.
Espresso drinks here are superb. As said above, the owners (who both had local cafe experience before opening this place) roast it themselves and pull the shots by hand. I have heard personal testimonies that the foam on the vanilla latte is far superior to that of Saxby's. The Orange Dreamsicle Latte is great. Also, for a real treat on a hot day, have a Frozen Coffee Creation or Frozen Alternative such as the unbelievably delicious Frozen Chai, Frozen Milky Way or Frozen Orange Dreamsicle -- this is not your typical ice-blended drink -- this is *gelato*-blended!
The homemade menu includes breakfast and lunch, with a variety of salads and sandwiches (which come with a choice of fruit salad, chips & dip or pita & hummus), muffins, bagels, brownies, etc.
The free wi-fi is also a great feature. Come in, do a little work, have a espresso romano (espresso with a twist of lemon) or a breakfast au lait (drip coffee with brown sugar, white chocolate and steamed milk), enjoy the local art on the walls, and unwind! Also, there is a little children's corner with a small table, toys and activities.Listed in: My Neighborhood
