I stopped by the other morning to mail out a package. I had never used Click-N-Ship before, so I asked the clerk if I had done it right and where I could find the regional rate boxes. She was very nice and went in to the back room to get me one. She was extremely helpful and didn't make me feel dumb. I was nervous to ask for help because of all the negative reviews, but I'm glad I did.

I had no time to put my 2020 California ballot in mail before I headed to Utah and did it from here, I traced my ballot and was delivered and accepted by polls within 2 days. I was skeptical it would even leave. USPS has never messed any outgoing mail of mine unless I did something wrong and this is testimony that it is still safe and effective. God bless our Postal workers!

I love the Layton Post Office. Having a small side business, we do quite a bit of shipping, and so we are in this Post Office quite often. The postal workers here are so good at what they do, and always friendly despite how busy they are. It's so nice to see their friendly, familiar faces whenever we come in.

Over the years, we have compared USPS shipping prices with the competition, and the competition doesn't come close. With the exception of the crazy holiday season, (when EVERY carrier has delays) all of our shipments arrive safely and punctually, and for a very fair price.

As is the "new normal", this location has decals on the floor to point out where each patron should stand to maintain social distancing. While the line always looks long due to the spacing, it always moves quickly. This branch is large enough that everybody can stand in line inside and not be out in the cold.

Lots of parking, convenient hours, well maintained facility, short lines, fast customer service -- getting it done right and efficient. What more could we want from a government run organization.

I've lived all over the country. The employees at this post office have to be the rudest in the US. I try everything to avoid it, even though it's the most convenient to my home. There's no reason to start every interaction so rudely.

By far the worst post office I have ever come across. The employees are extremely rude (except for two) and unwilling to help. I purchased an item off ebay in November 2020 and was expected delivery in December. Well it didn't have my apartment number on it and I called to try to resolve it which is IMPOSSIBLE! You can't talk to anyone but an automated system. I then went in and was told the package would just get returned to the seller and I thought, ok i'll contact the seller to resend it properly. When I messaged the seller he said USPS put it was delivered. I checked my mailbox EVERYDAY for two weeks and nothing. So i went to the post office and had to speak to a woman who shouldn't be employed ever with her attitude. She told me it was delivered and that if it isn't tough luck. So now i'm stuck filing a missing package in FEBRUARY OF 2021!!! I'm furious my package was lost and the seller won't refund me because someone couldn't do a simple job. I'm glad i'll never have to deal with this place ever again.

I have never had a good experience with these guys. Every time I get a package delivered through usps I get an "attempt delivery" notice in my mailbox. Even when I'm home. They just assume you are not home because they're too lazy to walk up and knock on your door. Every time I end up having to go to the post office to pick up my package, and every time they have the hardest time locating my package. I stood at the post office for a good 20 minutes today waiting for them to find my package. I ended up giving them my phone number because they had no idea where it was. Once They had found it they said it was in a completely different spot than where it should have been. Which is what they tell me every time...I don't know what kind of system they have, but they need to get a better one. Or better yet, just knock on my door...

LAYTON, UT: I am now "the duke" of this post office and I have yet to see anyone behind the counter smile on any of my few visits here. Not even one smile. Long lines, melancholy demeanors, and abrupt service are the hallmark of this post office, not unlike many of its dour brethren,

I go slightly out of my way to patronize this post office. Entirely because they have an automated postal system (the Kaysville post office does not).
And the Layton APS never seems to be in use when I go there, so as long as I'm trying to send a small, domestic package; I can be in an out in a jiffy.
The APS is limited in what it can do. It can sell stamps, and dispense postage for small/medium size domestic packages. Beyond that, you're going to have to wait in line.

I haven't ever had stellar service from the Layton post office employees. But it hasn't been dismal, either.
And these days, the USPS is offering services to rival UPS/FedEx. For instance, a tracking # is standard now. And prices are competitive.
