I agree with all the negative reviews here. This was by far the most rude, disrespectful customer service I have received at a post office. The lady was of no help and gave me no closure on my package that was MIA. If you don't know how to interact with people don't work in customer service!

Like many residents of Arlington Heights who feel mail service is a disaster.
I spoke to the postmaster to please stop the delivery of our mail. He promised to fix the problem. When we travel we stop our deliveries. We have tried for years but the postal employees still deliver.
We were burglarized last February while we were away. The police said a giveaway that no one was home is when there is mail left in your mailbox.
We have complained to no avail. The post master refuses to do anything about this problem or he is not capable of managing a post office like ours. If not replaced, should be retired or be retrained.
I reported this problem to Washington, they just said this is a local problem and should be handled by the local postmaster even though they recive many complaints about the Arlington Heights Post office from residents.
Mr postmaster how many burglaries are there in Arlington Heights due to the lack of concern on your part by making sure you employees are doing there job.
Please help the police in stopping the rash of burglaries in our village by having your employees do there job.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jim B.Rolling Meadows, IL0156Dec 7, 2023Updated review
This might be the worst post office in America. They routinely lose packages and when you call or visit with tracking information, they don't care. When a package requires signature, they don't even try to deliver it. The carriers are lazy and incompetent. I'm home all day everyday and they never knock or ring my doorbell. The window staff act like they're doing you a favor by serving you.
Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jan 29, 2022Previous reviewUnfortunately zero stars isn't an option on yelp. These people are incompetent, uncaring, lazy, and stupid...and proud of it. The last straw was a package I've been waiting for since a month prior from overseas. Finally I asked the sender to provide tracking information. That information showed the package arrived over three weeks ago! So I called the post office three times and nobody answered the phone. So I drive down there and they said they returned the package to the country of origin after holding it for five days. The post office claims they tried to deliver it...which I know is false because I'm home all day everyday. They said if I'm not home, the carrier should've left a note. There was never any note in my post box or on my door. I asked why nobody answered the phone and they said it's their secretary's day off. Imagine a private business simply refusing to answer their phone when the person who normally answers isn't there. Ludicrous. That's government for you. They don't care because they don't need to. UPDATE: After I went to the post office on Saturday and was told the package was sent back, my wife called them on Monday...and suddenly the package is there! Unbelievably incompetent and stupid. The customer was standing there on Saturday and you have a printout saying the package was sent back weeks ago? But now you have it? So I went down there again on Monday. Right off the bat the woman at the window started harassing me about not wearing a mask. Imagine if they were as good at delivering and keeping track of packages as they are at enforcing illegal non-binding mask mandates.

Idk why people are so bogus, I love the workers here. They're always up to help you IF there ever are any inconveniences.

This place is the slowest most inefficient garbage USPS store... stood in line for 15m for a 2 sec scan of a prepaid package... along with 5 other people holding packages...
Because some punky (shaved head 40-something) was confused about whether her mail was being returned to the Post Office by her mother... apparently she got kicked out of that house...
So dude with black nails had to spend 10m wandering around looking for some non existent mail... yeah I am salty cuz was late and have to reschedule a Drs appointment now.
Guys should have said just wait until I get these people out and I'll do this research... yeah, no. WTF man... so inefficient and clueless. I'm concerned about November...Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Aug 10, 2015Previous reviewLike a lot of people these days, I order a lot of things online... Big and little ticket items... and most if not all of them - I don't want left like an newspaper... dumped on the ground in some random common area... granted its an honest building, but it still irks me as follows:
GENERAL DELIVERY SERVICE
Recently... all my packages have been dumped in an unsecured entry area.
Previously, they were dumped in a secured (second door) common area.
I want my packages dropped AT MY DOOR - as required from UPS and FedEx.
What is wrong with the US Postal Service?
Guess I need to explicitly request that vendors NOT USE the USPS then. Seriously.
** WTF are items that would fit in my mailbox... be tossed on the ground? **
LOCATION
I'm giving one extra star because I don't believe the site is as horrible as the route services.
But I will be following up after a visit. I think I need to reiterate and have a F2F with the Route Manager in regards to my carrier. - Laura C.Chicago, IL0151Jul 8, 2022
I have called this location and they NEVER answer the phone. Today? Called about my package not being delivered and no one answered still, then the HUNG UP ON ME twice when I called. Never answered or put me on hold if they were busy, just simply picked up the phone and hung it up over and over. Is this customer service? What kind of bullshit is this? If your employees are working for USPS they should have much better service and respect. Come on. So disrespectful!!!

12/2021 Came in with nobody there and they were helpful and friendly. Thank you. But I have come in twice in the past few days and tried to use the kiosk or even just drop a box in the package chute after hours. No Bueno! Kiosk is constantly down. Chute is full, so can't drop things off. Get to other USPS sites and maybe can drop off or use kiosk, but finding a place you can do both in after hours is always challenging.
1/2020 Nothing special. Same as everywhere.
2019 Your typical post office. People are never happy here and they always have 3 or 4 people at the counters, but only 1 maybe 2 are available for customers. Wish they would smile more. Been seeing some of them frown for years now. All services are here and they get the stuff mailed. But if they were really grateful for their jobs like people at Amazon, Fed Ex or UPS, they might smile.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jan 11, 2020Previous review1/2020 Nothing special. Saw an auditor being filmed by staff members the shorter man looked like he was at a gym in sweats and the taller dressed in a nice shirt took photographs when he was asked if any of them was the Postmaster, the shorter man replied with what's your name to the member of the public
the police were called and the shorter man was not happy with the result as the police officer read a sign on the wall and concluded the auditor could take photo
finally i saw the staff walk away from the counter and refuse service to the man with the camera trying to buy a stamp all while the pink shirt man took video of the whole interaction on his personal phoneHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Debra P.Rolling Meadows, IL04Aug 23, 2022
My letter carrier/mail man delivers the mail however he opens the mailbox to put it in and he doesn't close the lid. I see mailboxes up and down my street as well as other streets with the lids open. Yesterday my lid was open and he didn't put my mail all the way in. It was sticking out. It was a large check I was waiting for. I am beyond angry. I have asked him to please close the lid. He did for a while but he's leaving the lid open again. It could be raining or windy and he leaves the lid open. Very incompetent. You call the post office number and all it is - is a voice automated junk. I have changed all my bills to be emailed. No paper. Unfortunately there are things that cannot be emailed like checks!

The employees working here are the nastiest, most miserable people I have ever had to deal with. I don't expect much given it's a government agency, but I have to feel sorry for the people who work at the registers here because their expressionless faces and voices lead me to believe they'd rather be dead than work another day at that job. In turn it's also a miserable experience for the customers who have to pay for these "services" and endure the totally horrendous experience of having to interact with those employees. Would suggest they consider the day might go by faster if they at least pretended not to completely hate their lives. Will not be returning to this location any longer.
