They are totally unprofessional.  Especially an agent name "Mark."  I responded to a craigslist ad and wanted to be shown the apartment within the ad.  I was informed by Mark that I have to go to their office first to fill out some forms.  I didn't want to go because I  know with some brokerage firms, they get you in and waste your time and wear you down.  If I wanted to pay a broker's fee I would get recommendations from my friends and hire a broker who is highly recommended.  So, I simply refused and asked if I can just be shown the apartment in the ad.  When Mark said that is impossible because he does not "show" apartments but rather "rent" apartments, I said that's ok then.  At which point he started to cuss me out, and saying "f**k you B***h."

That is the kind of service you can expect at Urban Sanctuary.

Do not use them!

First off, I understand the need for real estate brokers in NY, however, I think it is an absolutely worthless profession.  That being said, customer service is pretty much the only service they can provide that might differentiate them from the other joe's down the street.  This place does not even make the attempt to provide quality service.  Yeah, they showed me a place that I knew about, and pretty much the only place I wanted to live...ie/ they were able to show me the apartment I wanted, but the guy I worked with was unprofessional and did not keep his part of the agreement....ie/putting the charge through on my credit card, when I told him I would get him cash - thereby costing me an extra couple of hundred bucks on the foreign exchange on my card...Not too mention the fact that he text messaged me at 11pm to discuss these transactions.  Furthermore, when he brought up the issue with the site manager, he didn't even have the courtesy to get up off his *ss, and discuss the issue with us.  In the end, very bitter about the situation.  In the end, if you have to work with somebody, go through word of mouth of your friends, and definitely avoid this place.
