I'm in love with Urban Oasis.

I finally made it back in after a 2 year hiatus for a deep tissue massage with Anne.  She was friendly, professional and worked every last knot, kink and ache out of my poor, sore muscles.  It was a fabulously delicious way to spend a Friday afternoon.

Tip: When you make your appointment, be sure to secure the steam shower.  Trust me.  You want it.

I love magic hands...I love a place that really focuses on you crawling out of the room because your massage experience was good. You know how it happens, they have to tap you to wake you up. You walkout of the room and can't seem to focus because you feel so relieved from the visit.

Urban Oasis really knocked one out of the park for me. I scheduled a massage at another place and they forgot to book it. We were pissed. What they did do was suggest Urban Oasis. Thank you for being so kind and really suggesting a great place for a massage. We called there and they were ready to take us at a moment's notice.

My first time experience was wonderful. The masseuse really understood where my pain points were and really worked out the kinks for me. I loved the end part of being able to take a rain shower or steam shower. I took the rain shower and stayed in their until my hands were like raisins. Coming out of there after a great massage and shower is priceless. I encourage those looking for a great experience to really check this place out. It's worth every penny. I definitely will be back!

5 stars for the steam shower. 1 star for the massage.

I was looking for a Thai massage ever since I returned from Thailand. I found out that Urban Oasis offered "Thai" massages. . . or so I thought. I went in for the massage and it was more like a Thai Yoga massage. I was thoroughly disappointed and even asked the masseuse what she was doing. I just wanted a Thai massage, com'on. She asked me where I had had a Thai massage before and I gave her some tips on how to do it like a real Thai massage, which was annoying and not at all relaxing. I will not be returning unless a. they hire real Thai women or b. I could access the steam shower. :)

i've always been a fan of massage, sadly only have time typically for a quick 15 or 30 minute chair massage but with my back and neck feeling completely twisted decided it was time for some real work.  Had always wanted to try Ashiatsu (massage done by the therapists feet) but never found places that offered that...until now!

Friends here regarded urban oasis as a really great massage place, not the cheapest but they raved about the therapists level of knowledge and ability to tune into your trouble spots. I arrived for the hour Ashiatsu massage and was given spa sandles and lead to the treatment room.

My therapist was awesome, and wow, i'm a fan of Ashiatsu. I always have huge knots and having a skilled artist stand on them and then do whatever it was she was doing pushed out all the pain spots. IF feet gross you out, or you're not a fan of heavy pressure, i'm not sure this massage modality is for you....however if you have awful knots and love deep tissue, i'd try this one out.

after the massage i opted for the rain shower and just detoxed under that for a bit, walked out and was given a glass of water and went on my way...though amazingly relaxed and without the small watermelon of tension that was in my shoulder when i arrived.

definitely be back. clean shop, two good locations, awesome service, friendly staff.

oh btw, i just got a coupon in the mail today (3 days after my service) thanking me and offering $20 off my next massage...how cool is that?

I don't get a massage too often, maybe once a year?  But I think I've gone to a different place each time.  This is my favorite --edging out Elizabeth Arden for one reason---showers.  Who doesn't love a massage?  And who doesn't hate having to go out afterwards with "massage hair" where everything is all greasy with massage oil and sticking up in weird places so instead of being relaxed and refreshed, I'm trying to get some shopping done looking like I was pelted with Crisco.  But here you get a rain or steam shower afterwards (I picked rain) and you have all the time in the world (well, 20 minutes, actually) to rinse off all of the massage oil, dry your hair and get dressed.  It was perfect.

The massage itself was perfect too.  I wish I could remember the name of the woman who I had but I can't--she was really nice and just chatty enough that I felt comfortable but quiet enough that I could relax.  Every time I turned around someone was offering water, juice or tea.

Unlike the other spas I'd been to in the past, they only do massages here so they know what they're doing and they do it well.  If I can find any drawback at all it's that it feels a bit "chain spa-ish" but whatever, it was really relaxing and busy.  I will certainly be a repeat customer.

This place was fantastic.

a.) It was easy to get to.
b.) It's not too frou-frou and fancy so as to make you uncomfortable.
c.) Last minute scheduling is not a problem (at least during the week).
d.) My massuese gave me a sports massage.  She spoke to me about my issues, looked at my body alignment, and gave me tips for stretching.  Awesome!
e.) The room was sooo nice and soothing.
f.) I didn't take advantage of the showers, but I appreciated the choice to have one if I wanted.
g.) They sent me a coupon for my next massage.

I'll be back.

If I had to choose paradise in Chicago, this would be it Both the Ashiastu and Thai massage are great!!! Urban Oasis is on my speed dial and is better than a therapists! There are also offer eco-friendly body and hair care products! The rain shower is orgasmic!!! A few hours there is soooo therapeutic. Take public transportation or walk so that you don't have to worry about assimilating into the soccer moms and housewives of lincoln park SUV hussle... it can be chaotic over there due to all of the commercial business. Enjoy some mango juice while you wait. The ABBA and ALBA products are worth the buck (you can find them on the internet for cheaper). I love the rice lotion, it makes my skin feel like satin! You must try it at least once. They usually have coupons on their website if you don't want to spend the extra dollars. Even my boyfriend admitted that he understood why urban oasis was incorporated into our budget after he had an ashiastu massage!!!

Oh my...  Urban Oasis, where have you been all my life?

Perhaps the better question is...  massages, where have you been all my life?  Yes, that's right.  In my nearly 29 years on this planet I have NEVER had a massage.  And today I lost my massage virginity at Urban Oasis.

When I arrived I was greeted by a lovely girl, who asked me to put my shoes in a cubby and put on their black athletic sandals.  They then had me fill out a form with pretty basic info - where I was sore, etc.  I was then given the option of a post-massage steam shower or rain shower.  Oooh, can't I do both?  But I ultimately went with the rain shower.  After waiting a few minutes my massage therapist, Amanda, came out to greet me.  She complimented me on my Cardinals shirt, so I already liked her.  :)

She led me back to my personal shower room (love!), showed me how to lock up my things in their lockers, and waited while I changed into my robe.  When I came out she led me across the hall to our massage room, we quickly went over what specific areas were of concern (my damn neck), and got started.

As she started the massage... my brain?  Went dead.  It felt soooooo good.  With every stroke I could feel all the tension I'd been storing in my back and shoulders for the last 28 years begin to melt away.  The gnawing headache I've had for the last week?  Started to dissipate.

The only direction I gave Amanda was to work that specific muscle in my neck, yet she worked her way up and down my body applying the perfect amount of pressure in places I didn't know I needed it, but when she hit them it was like YES!  When she massaged the sore spot on my neck it felt so good that I died and went to heaven.  Had my brain been able to put coherent sentences together, I probably would have said something like "oh god, yes, right there, please don't stop!"  (I know, it sounds dirty, but YOU DON'T KNOW.)

What's funny is that when I booked this massage, I remember thinking 60 minutes was going to be too much...  Oh, silly inexperienced Jo...  60 minutes is not enough.  Next time I will be booking the 90 minute massage.

After the massage I got to enjoy the rain shower (which was pretty cool, but I think I'll try the steam shower next time), and their yummy smelling hair products.  Sweet.

Overall, I had a wonderful time here and a great first massage experience, thanks to Amanda.  I honestly can't wait to come back!

So why the four stars?  Eh.  The girl who booked my appointment on the phone and the girl who checked me out when I left, who I suspect might have been the same person, were not so warm and fuzzy.  I used the $25 off coupon they advertised on their Yelp page, and I sensed a bit of attitude.  Um, that coupon brought you business (and future business) from me that they would not have otherwise had - isn't that the point?

The other thing - while the showers are great, I'm not in love with the 20 minute time limit.  I take long showers anyway, and after you've been rubbed down the last thing you want to be doing is rushing around trying to get in and out before your time is up.  Hell, it takes me more than 20 minutes to dry my hair.  The rushing adds stress...  which defeats the whole purpose of the last hour.  I understand why they do it, but I just wish it were at least 30 minutes.

Those two things aside, I'll definitely be coming back here.

Very welcoming from the start with many offers of tea and water. My masseuse was trained in Ashiatsu. Unreal. He literally stood on my back while giving a massage. You might be grossed out at the thought of feet giving you your massage, but it didn't feel like feet. In fact, the increased pressure made the massage even more effective.

I went for a steam shower, which was very nice. I do wish that Urban Oasis would include directions for how the shower operates. I figured it out, but I have to imagine directions would have only helped.

They have lots of coupons, which bring the price to a more reasonable figure. And if you refer a friend you get a coupon, thanks Rachel W.!

Surprisingly nice spa, once you get through crazy SUV moms and the whole mall scene.   I reserved sight unseen and was almost aprehensive by the time I parked in the [not-free] garage. The reception was a bit cold, and seemed to assume I knew their cubby-closet shoe storage, there weren't any clean shower/change rooms available when my therapist brought me back.  So, there's that missing fifth star.

Other than that- excellent massage, really nice steam shower, ok products.  I'll be back.

Happy Valentine's Day to me!  And no, it wasn't a romantic gift, rather, from my parents.  All the more support for my vday-is-a-great-way-to-show-people-that-you-care, and not just a hallmark holiday, theory.
Anyway, it was a monday night, the place was nearly empty, which suited me just fine. I don't particularly want 5 pairs of eyes on me after I emerge from an hour long massage and shower, bleary eyed and jello-ey.
Eric was PERFECT! He asked just enough questions in the beginning and was open to my answers, concerns, problem areas. Most masseuses I've had don't use enough pressure, maybe they think they're going to break me, but his was firm and I felt those muscles MOVE!

A 1-hour swedish, Steam Shower, plenty of water, lovely smelling shampoo later, I felt like a new woman. Do it.

Tamara gave me the best massage I've ever had, ever, in my life.  Ever.
She's a little bit chatty but super sweet and intuitive.  Totally knows what she's doing.  Everyone stand around and watch while my paychecks go up in flames at UO again.

So happy.

Sigh. I wish I was there right now.

On their amazingly plush and comfy massage tables, with Nikki doing whatever wonderful things she does to make all those knots in my back disappear.

Listening to the spa music. (ocean sounds perhaps? or maybe a little lite jazz)..the quiet, dim lighting...and afterwards, showering in their rain shower, wishing that I never had to walk out of those doors and back into real life that is far too loud and bright.

I came here for a swedish massage, and it was the best massage I have ever had! The staff was sooo friendly, the room was very clean and relaxing, and you get a choice of three showers. I went with the rain shower, and loved it. I did not feel rushed at all, and had a great overall experience. I look forward to coming back!

Urban Oasis has so many five star reviews I was really looking forward to getting my massage on Saturday. I was unfortunately let down. The massage itself just wasn't that great for a variety of reasons. My therapist was nice enough, but I felt I got more of a rub down than a massage.

The guys at the front desk were really nice and all the drink options available were a nice amenity. The steam shower was 3 stars alone, I thoroughly enjoy that.

Im not sure that I will return since it was on the expensive side and I wasn't thrilled with the actual massage.

I know nothing about spas or massages other than massage parlors are not where you go for a legitimate massage and a happy ending is not what happens at the end of a romantic comedy.

But I bravely went where not so many red blooded American males go - to get a massage with my GF.

I told my masseuse that it was my first time and like a more experienced woman, she said she'd be gentle.  I basically told her that I'm a runner and that I was looking for a sports massage.  She took it from there.

The massage was pretty good, but of course, I have nothing to compare it against.  But what I do know is the hour went by very fast.  At the end of the hour, I had a steam shower.  I guess you get 20 minutes in there to hose yourself off and chill.  Like any guy, I was done with my shower in like 5 minutes and dressed 5 minutes later.  Maybe the idea of relaxing in the shower is lost on me.

This was the perfect place for my first massage. I had the hot stone massage and then the rain shower after. It is a bit pricey but well worth it.  The staff is very professional and they go out of their way to make you feel comfortable.

I really didn't want to like this place but I did. The lobby is very cooperate but the people we friendly and they gave me slippers. Then I met my masseuse and was escorted off to a changing room. The room was very nice and they had a locker with a combo lock on it so I didn't have to worry about a key. After I changed into a provided robe that actually fit I was put in the massage room and asked to disrobe and get under the sheet.

I had asked for the ashiatsu massage, it's where they stand on you and to the majority of the massage with their feet. The massage itself was interesting and at points a very deep massage. At no point was I ever really uncomfortable and I really enjoyed it particularly on my lower body. Over all it was a very good massage.

After the massage I was given water and apple juice and placed back in the changing room. I had requested a steam show afterwards but ended up with a rain head shower which I also enjoyed. The cost was a little high $110 plus tip but I forgot to print out a $20 0ff coupon, As a side note my wife said she had the best massage in her life and she is really picky.

Ahh . . . . . a little more pressure, please.  Yeah, there . . . .right there.  Mmmm . . ahhh . . ..my weary body sighed in satisfaction as I was pummeled, thumped and rubbed during my recent visit to the Urban Oasis.

I'm a girl who likes a good massage, but then who doesn't?  Urban Oasis is extremely professional and organized.  From the time you make your reservation to the time you check out, the process is easy, and after you've had one of their massages, trust me- easy is all you can handle!

When you call to make your appointment, they ask if you would like one of their signature showers to end your experience.  "Why yes- of course", I said.  I wanted the steam shower, but they only had the rain shower available.  Maybe next time.  It was okay because you only get 20 minutes in the shower area anyway which made me feel a bit rushed.  Had I had the steam shower, I probably would have been lost in there for awhile!

I love their liberal cancellation policy.  You can cancel 4 hours before your appointment without a penalty.  Most places have a 24 hour cancellation policy.   They also validate parking in the garage (enter off of Sheffield) so it only costs $5..

Urban Oasis is a little different than other places as you leave your shoes up front (they give you sandals),you can enjoy some herbal tea, water or juice, but you don't get your robe until your therapist picks you up from the waiting area.  You are then shown to your "shower room" which is where your locker is and you can change into your robe.

As for the massage- I'll let my body do the talking and it says, "Yes, yes, yes, more, more, more!"

All in all- a good massage for a reasonable price ($100 for an hour). I'm a bit spoiled when it comes to massages so I prefer places where I can luxuriate a little more with separate steam rooms, Jacuzzis, and relaxation areas for after the massage.  But for a functional massage experience- I'd recommend you give it a try.

Ahh . . . . . mmmm . . . . . is it time to roll over?

I've been addicted to Urban Oasis for years.  As far as massages go, I've been around the block and by far my massages here are superb!  The therapists make an effort to address your expectations and requests.  You never feel rushed.  It's quiet, relaxing...a very small escape from the craziness of life.  Finish your hour by de-toxing in the steam shower.  Can wait for the next visit....

ps. if you can sneak away during the week you may find some coupons on their website for $20 off!!!

I had herd such wonderful things about this spot so I really wanted to have a great experience but the ball was dropped.

I made an appointment here for my sweets for his birthday it was part of an all day extravaganza of surprises that I had planned for him.  When I called to make the appointment the woman I spoke with was very accommodating.  She was excited for my birthday extravaganza but then asked for my boyfriends phone number.  I felt weird about this and asked why.  She let me know it was because he was the one receiving the massage and it was in NO WAY to confirm his appointment.  She reassured me over an over that this would not happen.

Low and behold, they called him to confirm.  Ruining my whole surprise. I was so disappointed and upset. I called right away to express my disappointment and find out what the F happened.  The receptionist said that she was really sorry but  " There were no notes, how was I suppose to know." Not my problem.  I asked to speak to a manager and she informed me that a manager wasn't there and one was not coming in at any point during the day.  I let her know that I needed someone to call me back then.  She said absolutely.

A manager did call me back and explained to me that , " Were all human" WFT? All I wanted was an, "I'm so sorry this happened let me try to make this better by__________(insert nice gesture here).  She offered to give a longer massage at no cost but that wouldn't work because we had dinner plans.  In the end, I got a cold "sorry" when I brought him to his appointment and they took $25 off the massage.

At the end of the day, my boyfriend enjoyed his massage and the facility is great but the customer service is less than adequate.

DOWNGRADE!!: I called and reception was indifferent, rushed and rude when I started inquiring about services available. She took other ringing phones over my call, even though I had already been patient, holding twice for her to answer calls that must've been more important or at least easier than mine. The last thing you want when you are trying to relax!

My massage was otherworldly-absolutely phoenomenal. Male masseuse, his name escapes me. The facility was warm, super clean, and the shower rooms are awesome.

I have been to SpaSpace as well and this place makes that one look like kindergarten. My masseuse at Spa Space seemed weirded out to touch me, which is the strangest thing for a masseuse to have going on.

I have mixed feelings about Urban Oasis. I think it's a great place if you know what you want and do a little work on your own to figure out a therapist who will work well with you. I suspect, however, that the staff does not take particular care to try to match you with the therapist whose style really suits you. But I've only been twice, and maybe the second session mismatch was a fluke.

First visit was with Sally for an ashiatsu session--you know, that thing where they massage you with their feet-- and it was wonderful.  If you want to feel really worked over this is the thing for you, especially if you want work done on your lower/mid back or on other broad body areas. Understandably, it's less geared toward areas like your neck and shoulders. Sally is great--communicative, professional, focused, and generally rather good at reading and responding to what your body needs.

My second session, a 90-minute deep tissue massage, was a real disappointment.  I like DEEP massage, no wussing around, and always ask specifically for that. The therapist I was set up with, Tamara, is really good at her own style, but that style is emphatically not really deep tissue massage. The trigger point and acupressure techniques she tried were nice, and worked well on my neck, but about an hour of my 90 minute massage were milksoppy attempts at standard deep tissue, even after I asked for more pressure several times.

I would skip the salt rub. It's nice, but nothing you can't do at home.

If you're considering a massage, I think Urban Oasis is a good bet. Their focus on massage really shows, and both therapists I worked with were very good at what they did.  I would recommend this place over other places I've tried, and in fact plan on going back regularly.

The caveat is that if you come in wanting something particular, and know not everybody delivers it, you are going to be stuck doing your homework yourself--don't rely on the staff to match you, because they'll apparently just stick you with whoever has availability on the theory that everyone does everything.

Hot Stone Massage...

My fiancee and I just had our first hot stone massages last week. The spa itself was wonderful and the ambiance was very soothing and comfortable. My fiancee love the hot stone massage and said she will return for that treatment.

Me, being a bigger guy, I do not think that the hot stone massage is for me. It was so surface level even though I asked for a little deeper work. I am sure the therapist did a good job, but she just did not do me that much good. I would recommend for any guy that might be a little bigger to not waste their time and money with the hot stone massage and just go with the deep tissue or what I am going to try next the ashiatsu (not sure on spelling) massage next.

Overall, a good experience when you take her glowing review followed by my average review due to my own choice. On another note, the showers are amazing!

I've been going to U.O. North Ave for years.  Throughout pregnancy I was getting massages at least monthly and it got me through some really difficult physical issues then.  The staff is wonderful - kind, accommodating, friendly and helpful.  The space is truly relaxing and the showers purely luxurious (with 1 hr or more service you have your choice between rain or steam).  I've returned again and again because, in addition to all this, the therapists have been really great.

Recently, I've been back twice in a month (working out has been taking its toll and I think I need a new mattress) and was less than happy with the therapist's skills both times.  What's with the bony fingers, people?  Whatever happened to using the heel of your hand, your forearm?  And WHY WHY WHY would you press SO HARD with those bony-ass fingers on a BONE and ignore the muscle around it?  The past two times I've been have left me literally bruised.

I know it's partly my own fault: I usually request same-day service, take whoever is available and they always accommodate me.  Historically, this has been a safe-bet as I've been happy with whomever they give me.  Lately, not so much.  Luckily they've recently agreed to keep notes in their system on who I like/don't like so I'm now less likely to make the same expensive mistake twice.

But now that I've discovered that Michael Anthony's Aveda day spa across the street is really nice, I'm seriously considering taking my trial-and-error dollars over there.  For $95/hour, if the massage sucks, at least I know it'll smell really good.

This is THE place to go for massages.  They have so many options and times available.  Every therapist I've had has been top notch.  Plus they offer a post treatment steam or rain shower.  It seals the deal.

They also offer Crunch members a healthy discount when receiving the message at the gym.   I normally see Gregg at Crunch.  He is excellent.

I recommend checking out the various coupons on their website to see if you can knock off a few bucks.

If I could come here every week, I would.  I love it here!  The atmosphere is calming/relaxing and totally puts you in the spa mood.  The lighting is low, the music is soft, and the massage therapists kick ass.  They are friendly and they do an awesome job.

But my favorite part of my UO experiences are the rain showers after my massages?  Can I get one of these installed in my house?  It's pure luxury (and I have trouble remembering the 20 minute time limit because I just don't want to get out).

Hands down the best massage spa I've been to; just walking through the door has a calming effect.  I've always found the staff to be courteous and friendly and I've never had a therapist that I didn't like; they always ask about the amount of pressure I like and stick to it.

Make sure to request a rain shower for post-massage; it's like a delicious dessert after an already fantastic meal...very, very relaxing and a great way to bring you back into the "real world".

Lovely. Just lovely.
Barrett the massage therapist did an excellent job.

Since it was my first massage, I was a little nervous, but she helped me along the way. I am so glad that I took people's advice to come here for a nice relaxing massage, great environment & impeccable service. I received all three & then some!

The whole staff was wonderful. I felt at peace. It was really what I needed. I am going to come here again for another massage. They have so many to choose from. Go to their website, they have great printable coupons!

Oh I almost forgot...the showers. Especially the rainshower. It is wonderful. When I get rich I'm going to have one of those. Just fantastic.

I had a fabulous deep tissue massage last month.

I've spa'd at some pretty nice places, but when it comes to Chicago spas, I'm a bit of a fish out of water.

A friend recommended Urban Oasis and I checked it out online. I'm a big fan of the hot stone, and decided to try it out there.  I checked in, was taken to a nice warm room, and had the BEST massage I've ever had.  The masseuse was perfect - nice, and chatty, but not too chatty...and the stones - well, they were just perfection too.

I could have spent 30 minutes in that shower, too...get the rain shower if you go....and check online before you go, as I got a coupon for $20, which made the massage really affordable...

Oh, to be employed again and able to afford that extravagance :)

The setting and actual space looks nice and yes, the steam shower was great.   Unfortunately, I didnt really come here for all that..
I went for a massage, deep tissue to be specific, I was looking forward to getting a masseur named Bridget who I have had sessions with in the past, but unfortunately she wasnt there.
So... I specifically told this masseur what I expected and laid out what I had been doing in the past week etc..  After getting into my room and giving her about 10 minutes, I told her that she could press harder.  I even encouraged her to use elbows or whatever else.. there was barely a difference.  I asked again after a while and didnt get any type of noticeable difference.  At that point I gave up, the massage was a gift so I chalked it up to a learning experience.
Wont go there again, and wish I could just book a steam shower instead.

I know, one star is very low compared to what others have posted. And I am no expert on spa treatments but I do know I shouldn't have wanted my massage over with after 5 minutes of pure ass kicking. I even told the therapist that it was too hard for me, didn't stop him b/c he said he could tell I had stress. He was the stress! And I'm also pretty sure that they aren't supposed to talk about stressful things like how our economy is in the toilet and he swore like a truck driver.
My husband went too and he walked out and said it was the best massage he's ever had...yay for him. (hmpf). When I told him about my experience he was pretty pissed and emailed them immediately and in 2 days we had coupons for the next visit. I think I will go to the other location b/c they have the hot stone therapy there and I'm pretty sure they won't beat the shit out of me with rocks...that said, they could burn the hell out of me! so much for trying to relax.

I wish Urban Oasis would adopt me so that I could live there forever.  The massage therapists that I've had have all been great-- they listen to me about what I would like them to focus on and are very attentive to the amount of pressure that I want.  And yes, the showers are amazing.  Unfortunately, when it's very busy, you can schedule a massage, but they may not be able to let you use one of their dreamy showers.  Still, they tell you that when you're scheduling your massage, so it's really up to you if you want to deny yourself that part of the experience.

Love Love Love. Private locker room? Check. Excellent post massage shower? Check. Friendly receptionists? Check. Friendly, competent masseuses? Check.

The locker room / shower experience is really what separates Urban Oasis from other spas. You don't leave with that gross "I'm covered in oil!" feeling, and it helps extend the relaxation. It's certainly not the best shower experience of my life, but it is a really nice and appropriate point of differention.

The massages are totally competent. I've never had a bad one there. I've never had an amazing one either, but nothing to complain about.

Went here recently for a 1 hour swedish massgae. My therapist was Kayoko and she was incredible. Very personable, made sure to ask how much pressure I preferred, overall fantastic massage. I would request her again if I venture back here. The showers were nice, I didn't think they were amazing. Front desk staff was polite, but the ringers on the phones could have been turned down a bit. You can usually find coupons on their website. Accepts credit cards, but make sure to bring cash to tip your therapist, as gratuity cannot be added to your card.

my shoulder was pinched and tight and full of owch. i needed a massage. i couldn't pay a ton, but i wanted something serious.... a deep tissue massage.
i found a coupon for $20 off on their website and booked my appointment on the phone. easy! trying to find the place from the parking garage proved a bit tricky for me... but i figured it out. the reception space was nice and the actual massage was decent.  the person who was in the room before me ran late, so that messed up logistics a bit, but we managed. the best part? the SHOWER at the end. (had it not been for the time limit, i'd still be in there). it's one of those waterfall sorta things. heaven.
i received a coupon in the mail following my massage for my next massage, which was a nice touch.  since the actual massage wasn't holy-cow amazing, the facility didn't have too many speacial touches that would make me go out of my way to come back, but it was fun to try a new spot.

stress kills.

massage helps one reduce stress.

massage GOOD!

UO is one of the better environments for massage, because of  their incredible and simple philosophy of taking care of their massage practitioners. Which in turn are better equipped to treat their clients with the attention and care that is deserved by all who enter and so is a formula worth patronizing and supporting.

As a licensed massage therapist and an "insider" in the industry, I constantly hear this is one of the "dream" job locations for most LMT's and the showers and other amenities are so done well with smiles and genuine empathy.

They don't sell massage here, they sell peace of body and spirit.

Stop reading and RUN NOW... you GO to relax and let those annoying pains melt away.
