I will give this place credit for having some low priced T-shirts and knicknacks at the door, but everything else has the Universal City markup of the standard 20% overpriced.
I am amazed any business can stay in business with the obvious overpriced rents at Universal City.
This place is like one of those tourist trap t-shirt shops on Hollywood Blvd. Luckily without the smell of hobo urine.

Came here because my girl was getting coffee from The Coffee Bean (they share the location). Staff wasn't really friendly or happy to be at work. I'm surprised because None of the employees at Universal City Walk seemed happy.....must be a miserable place to work.
I bought my girl something to surprise her with while she ordered her mocha. Of course whatever u buy here is going to be overpriced....it's a souvenire shop.......at least they could do something to make their employees smile once in a while.
Don't waste your time, you can get anything they sell here in other stores throughout the city for cheaper and from someone more pleasant.
It gets the job done but you have to search wisely. Towards the back I found some bags that were cute for shopping at $5.99 each. So I got them for my co-workers as presents. The place is cramped and people really love to get in your way. They are tourist and so am I. But just hold your breath and get what you need and leave.
No more books, just a bunch of the same old plastic crap they sell on Hollywood Blvd. Who needs another fake Oscar statue anyways?
Upstart Crow died in the flames of tourism and the bird that rose from the ashes is a real turkey!
The great coffee house and bookstore is long gone. CityWalk needs to take down the sign or change the name to Store Full of Crap.

The place is super overpriced, though I did manage to find an I Love LA shirt for my dad. It was alright I guess... The selection of merchandise sucks... don't go here
