Upstairs Gallery
1 review for Upstairs Gallery
The Upstairs Gallery is a quaint gallery tucked in between two shops. There are drawings from local artists everywhere. It's your normal, very classic Monterey-esque art gallery. A lot of pictures of the sea, seagulls, and sea otters.
When you walk up the stairway, you'll see that there is a huge window overlooking the Monterey Bay. Birds fly very close the window, and you'll see all sorts of .. bugs and dirty boats and miscellaneous Monterey attractions.
If you walk a little further, you'll be greeted by the art gallery. Very messy and scattered, all the art is EVERYWHERE. I wanted to buy a couple of prints, but realized that they photocopied most of their drawings (hence the ridiculously cheap price of $2, $4, or $7). The kind old man was watching a drama with Asians who were speaking in really bad accents, and didn't twitch to greet us or even acknowledge that we were in his store.
Great tourist attraction though. If you have relatives that want to see Fisherman's Warf, this is a great place to go!
