I've ordered from them 10 times already and been satisfied with every order.

Their process is plain and simple. Upload your artwork, view your pdf proof right away, and place your order (which is a really good thing, because their customer service reps are hard to understand on the phone). You get an email when the job is complete, just print it out and go pick it up.

I've done 4 color coated card stock runs ranging from 1000 (to test them out) to 10,000 at a time. They have always had my jobs completed on time, and in one case where I needed it right away, they had it done next day (for a fee of course). Color remained consistent through out the entire run.

I'm not sure about short runs on their digital copiers, but for press runs I have not found anyone else in the area that is as cheap or as quick as uprinting.

Pick up is convenient (as long as you don't go during rush hour). Drive around back to their lot, walk to the front with your printed email, and they will load it up.

    AWFUL
Sent files over 10 times, waisted an hour of my life uploading to the website http://www.uprinting.com only to be told to re-email to a personal email address.  Two days pass.  Once the artwork was "recieved"  it took another 6 days to get a correct proof.   The odd part is I do Graphic Design and set this up like EVERY OTHER job I have ever worked on.  I included the InDesign and Illustrator files, even PDF's, yet U-PRINTING still can not figure out the specs of the project.  Are you really contacting me on day/proof 7 about BLEED ? IT'S A PRINT READY FILE I SENT YOU.  As far as customer service, good luck trying to speak to anyone who speaks fluent English.  If you have phone support ( 1-888-888-4211 ) you should have some one who speaks, understands and communicates in fluent English answering that line.  The price is cheap and it shows in the final product.

You print business cards yet no CS1 stock, yikes.

    AVOID !

This is not my typical type of review so it will be short and sweet.. I guess only food will make me type up an essay!! LOL!

I've been a customer of UPrinting for over a couple of years now and I gotta say that I truly enjoy their work.  Media prints usually cost lots of money so I'm glad that I was able to find a place when I needed to get some one-sheets done for my projects.

UPrinting's online system is extremely easy to use, and generally fairly self-explanatory.  However, if you are in a bind and is stuck, give them a call and they can usually fix it pretty quickly or guide you thru your process.

If I recall all the times I submitted project into UPrinting, there is probably only one time that my project was delayed by 3+ days but one in a long while it's ok as long as is not a frequent occurrence.

One gripe that I do have is that I love the convenience of picking up in the local LA locations.  However, recently (probably in the past year or so) they've eliminated Saturday pick ups at their facilities.  I've been there and know that there are still people working but they just stop allowing pick ups on Saturdays which is pretty inconvenient to me.  Think about it... going thru the crazy LA 405 traffic on the weekday just to pick up creates such a headache.  I so long for those days when I can swing by in the AM on a Saturday and pick up my completed projects.  Hopefully they can reconsider and bring that option back for their customers.  (Or at least offer only AM pickups on Saturdays till 1:00pm or something, it definitely helps a great deal!)

Otherwise, they have not messed up any of my project and I've been a very happy customer.  Definitely give them a try if you have to print lots of materials.  They are definitely worth it!

I'm amending my earlier review to comment on the extremely high level of professionalism and customer care shown by UPrinting. Once their management got wind of my problem, they were all over it within hours, even going so far as to change their website to make it more clear. I'm truly impressed - I've rarely gotten that kind of customer service anywhere, in any industry.

    Just ordered biz cards.
The pros: online software to design your own card is easy to use. Printing and delivery was on time.
The cons: Uprinting offers a choice of matte or glossy for 14 pt. biz cards. I chose matte. But the matte finish actually is a coated paper, not the standard stock of most matte biz cards. Uprinting's "matte" paper actually has a slight sheen to it. Not what I expected. Order the free sample kit before hand, which I should have done.

Uprinting first assuaged my fears back in 2009 when I won business cards from them and Mayhem Studios in a contest. I was terrified because many printers have created utter garbage for me and ruined hours of graphic design only to see the final product look like a car crash. My cards back then were gorgeous.

Since then, this year, I changed my logo and site design and wanted some print collaterals. I ended up wining another contest with Uprinting and Dogg Designs and got the most B-E-A-utiful postcards back in the mail from my own design. I am thrilled with the appearance, they are stellar and elegant. I cannot wait to hand them out.

I am fortunate to have won contests with them so let me add this as to not appear biased. My sister ORDERED cards from them, which I also designed. They are gorgeous. She still hands them out over a year and a half later. People love them.

Uprinting has great customer service, very responsive people on Twitter and excellent products. They truly know what they are doing and I appreciate that because it is so hard to find a company that a) is interactive in social media and actually responds and b) can actually print. Quality.

    THIS BUSINESS IS NOT CLOSED!!!!!

I just had them redo my business cards.

After almost a year after getting my business cards from them I saw that there was a slight problem with the color on about half of the cards. A common error that any print shop might make.

I called them and they replaced my cards immediately. I just got them and they are 100% perfect.

This place is terrible. Was told my order was ready, when i got there they only had half my order. They said the other half would come tomorrow. I got there at 5:30. It took them 15 minutes to realize they didn't have the other half of my order while i'm waiting around with my thumb up my ass. Then I was told 10 minutes after I left they did have my order.

How did my order suddenly appear right before it was about to close?

    So retarded.

For god's sake, make up your goddamn mind. Do you want to be customer-oriented, or do you just want to rip people off? I hate to be counting nickels and dimes but I hate shady business practices more.

Here's the deal. I just placed another order for more business cards. I saw that they're having a "FREE SHIPPING" offer for business cards. So, yippee, right? Well, after I placed the order, I looked at the invoice and it does say shipping $0, but then there's a line that says handling $5.

    WTF?

I went to check my previous invoices, and guess what, there was NO handling fee before. What's the point of advertising free shipping when you're just gonna tack on a different fee when it's convenient to do so? You think people won't notice?

I swear I want to like UPrinting. I like the website. I like the products. But they need to clean up their act of doing business.

I previously had a subpar menu produced but I informed them of the problem and they were able to work out a mutually accepted solution for me. The online submission system is great and things get done in quick fashion. The most important thing I gleaned from doing business with them is that they actually care. Sometimes you will have a bad day and unsatisfied customers. But it's how you treat those customers in the end that matters. This is the art of doing business and in my case I'm satisfied with the outcome.

I'm writing this to express my frustration with Uprinting. I's give 0 stars if I could.
My company ordered 3 banners and fliers for 1day turnaround  . Everything was ready exempt for one banner, now I've overpaid over $100 in 1 day turnaround fees for all the pieces because I have to wait 2 days to pick them up and I don't have all the materials on time. Their explanation was that I've approved the banner at 1pm when the cutoff time was 12pm. I've uploaded the file a day before, and was checking every 15min to see if it was approved,  it says on their website instant file proof. I think 24 hours was enough to "instantly approve the file" . I've approved it as soon as it became available.
So after sitting for 2hours in traffic because the only time you can pick up the order is from 5.45pm to 6pm they only give you 15min, I got my order and to my surprise the fliers were printed not on a 100lb paper that I ordered, but on really thin paper, you'd think 100lb is thick, heavy paper right? No, not at Uprinting, I called them and they said that I should have ordered their paper sample.. WHAT??? Any print shop will tell you that 100lb paper is thick. Unbelievable!!!! The marketing materials for the trade show that we spent thousands to be in are ruined..
I'd rather pay more than deal with them, not worth the time and stress.

People on the phone are not helpful and rude.

Really impressed by this place. The prices are the lowest around and the quality is quite good. Only noticed two minor differences between U-Printing's .12 cent business card and my uber-expensive .98 cent business card:

    1. Our original cards are printed in a dark gray font but U-Printing printed it in black. Second order was printed correctly with the dark gray font but I think its because the color was indicated on the file I uploaded. Our logo was in the correct color for both orders.

    2.  The color of the U-Printing paper-stock had a very (very) subtle grayish hue that's only noticeable in if you look at the cards side by side. My insanely expensive original cards were printed on stark white card-stock which is why it's probably more expensive!

U-Printing's website is relatively easy to navigate but they need to update their preview page because I couldn't preview my upload in landscape (however, they will email you a free proof).

Overall, they offer a great service but be proactive and ask questions to get exactly what you want.

    Terrible Customer Service.

    1. No one seems to understand what they are talking about, ie not knowing what collate means.

    2. Every single person talked to (5 total today alone) has gave a different answer about the same question.

    3. No one will connect you to a manager, supervisor, or anyone with authority.

    4. They are very unpleasant to talk to when dealing with a crisis, and you are spending thousands of dollars on a print job.

    5. The service rep, was out to "lunch" at two, had taken a "break" at 4 and "stepped out" at six, and every time said would return in the hour.

    U-Printing is AMAZING!

I was shocked with the fast service and quality of prints. I'm an actor so I have the get over 100's of headshots printed out every year. I've printed from 3 different places in Los Angeles and recently gave U-printing a shot. The prices were incredibly reasonable and the quality was amazing. I got my prints days after I placed the order and the prints look great! My manager and agents love the photos as well. Thanks U-printing!!!

Now I'm going to get some business cards printed since it looks like everyone else was happy with that service as well! :)

They are super cheap have a pretty quick turn around and are convenient to pick up and save on shipping charges. Everytime I have called or interacted with someone there they have been professional and polite.

I've had the displeasure of using uprinting on 2 occasions. They have one of the most (if not the most) competitive prices for print production and because of that I'm giving them 2 stars. The turnaround around time is usually 5 days or more depending on the quantity. I like how I can check the proof before they start production and some of their call center reps are nice enough. The major con with them is that they can't seem to follow simple direct instruction. I had to ask repeatedly before they complied and by the time they did, I was past the cutoff time and was told the turnaround time would be 1 day later. I told them that's unacceptable and asked to speak with the manager. The manager was more understanding and I was able to get my printed materials in time but the time wasted and the frustration I felt was just too much. Never again.

These are the cheapest printers on the westside of Los Angeles. And you completely get what you pay for. Problems include:

. Unskilled, inexperienced workers (uploaded PDF's about 10 times)
. Color quality is terrible. Flat, dull colors.
. Bindery is horrible and couldn't even saddle stick correctly
. Customer services is non existent and is basically as waste of time.

Last but not least, you have to pay the ENTIRE price upfront (no deposit) probably because they have many customers refusing to pay the final deposit. Just try to get a refund or credit when they mess up your job. Stay away from this printer. You get less then you pay for.

Overall I'd say these guys are great for discount printing.  However, they are discount because they do not have the service level of other printers.  For important projects I use my local printer that has to look me in the eye when he messes up.

I was a little skeptical after seeing all the 5 star reviews from people with, well, not a lot of reviews.  I did an internet search and found a couple web pages, one very detailed, that slammed uprinting on how they constantly screwed up orders.

But, I needed business cards.  I would have gone elsewhere, but I saw Uprinting was located mere blocks from my office.  So, I knew I had a counter on which I could pound my fist if something went wrong.  However, what really sealed the deal was the fact that they were a full ONE-THIRD of the price of other places for business cards.  I got 1000 full color cards on 14pt UV high gloss stock for under $30.  Other places wanted $90 or more.

I placed the order, got the cards as promised.  I almost expected something to be wrong with them.  But alas, they were perfect!  I saved a bundle.

My only complaints, while I paid on line in full I had to pay the tax part in the store when I picked up the cards.  I found this out when I picked up the cards.  Also, their phone system sucks.  It sounds like I am talking to someone half a world away.  English does not seem to be the primary language of many people who answered the phone, so it made communication even more difficult.

But hey, I saved a nice chunk of change here, so I am happy!

Note: this is the same company as UPrinting.

There are no words.  Or rather, there simply aren't bad enough words in the English language that are sufficient to describe the nightmare that is trying to get a round of labels printed properly from these people.  Once, after complaining on here, they gave me great service.  For orders after that, they were ruder in person than anywhere I have EVER in my life begin, and I decided to get everything shipped, bc they are the cheapest printers on the net, and I figured all would be fine so long as I never had to deal with them face to face again.
That worked ok for a couple orders, until they started printing my labels with HUGE WHITE BORDERS for no reason.  I sent back numerous jobs, and on the recent one, which was the labels with my brand info (meaning the label that goes on every single package), the order did not even get started until days after they told me it would ship.  Then, they sent it to the wrong address- I know, 1716 is a really hard number and just BEGS for extra 1's to be added- and when we got them... crap again.  Even though I made a bigger file so there was NO WAY white borders would be needed... white borders all around.
I hate UPrinting with all of my very being right now, which is more than I'd ever have thought I'd say about any company.  They offer rude, nasty service in person, their quality has gone down tremendously even for internet orders, and I cannot, for the goddamn life of me, get them to print a decent freaking label.
I agree wholeheartedly with the person who said they'd rather print their own ink and chop their own wood for paper than deal with UPrinting again.  There just aren't words for what a rotten, incompetent company they are, and I will henceforth gladly pay more for my labels so as to never have to deal with them again.

I wanted to bump this up to 3 stars and update my experiences with them. After sending a final, half-upset, half-scolding email to the customer service contacts I had there, they promptly responded the next day with the answers to my questions.

I guess i wouldn't have been as bothered if they answered sooner, but 9 days? cmon. It's an email, and I had one question regarding the files I sent.

Anyway, I was satisfied with their actions after my final email and I can tell they do great work, so I don't wanna knock them too hard. In fact, I will be trying them again, probably this week. Hopefully my experiences are better this time around.

After my issue with my event announcement cards, and my scathing rant here on the old Yelp, I was contacted by the head honcho of Uprinting.

I calmed down and explained step by step the painful series of events that rendered me a useless announcement. (One I had to use because of time constraints, so a reprint wasn't in the works.)

The comedy of errors is what happens when a company experiences tremendous growth in a short span of time. Uprinting has become extremely successful, quickly. (Kudos to them.)

Sam, the owner, is astute enough as a business person to understand that it's not about being right, it's about making right.

I honestly appreciate a business owner who knows how to delicately eat humble pie, listen and understand where the process broke down. He is willing to take the steps necessary to improve the process from the customer side of the equation. Gotta love that. No ego.

I'll wait till I believe they have the bugs worked out and then maybe I'll give it another go.

I just got by new business cards from UPrinting, and I could not be happier. They came out just how I wanted, and the online proof process helped ensure that. I choose UPrinting for my printing needs, since after comparing their pricing with Zazzle, and my local UPS and Kinko's, they were by far the cheapest.

Next time I need new business cards, I'll be sure to go to UPrinting.

Saw a review of these guys on Yelp and thought I'd give them a try, since I just happened to need some new business cards. Ordering online is a snap (I uploaded my own art) and I was astonished at how low the prices were. I got the 1,000 4-color (front and back) standard business cards for $39.60, including shipping. And it took just a little over a week for me to get my cards--not bad! If you have a basic printing job and you're not in a terrible hurry you can save some $$. I was happy with my order and will be looking to use them again in the future. D'oh, but I forgot to use the coupon code! Next time...

Misleading turnaround times and very bad customer service.

I have used UPrinting a few times before and was generally happy with the service.  I overlooked the fact that items arrived a day or two beyond the originally quoted date, or that the cutting was less than straight.  For quick and cheap printing sometimes that's what you get...

However I had an important order on a tight deadline, and made the mistake of entrusting it to UPrinting.  The job was relatively simple.   I took the time to read the fine print Terms Of Service to make sure I understood their process.  I opted to upgrade to a 1-day turnaround (at extra cost) to make sure the job would be done quickly.  Three days later (!!) the order status still said "queued for printing".  Not only was the job still not printed but when I inquired I got the runaround via e-mail and phone.  I had to speak to three people before I got to a manager "Edward" who was clueless.  He offered no remedy and blamed the whole thing on me not understanding their definition of "turnaround time".  He also never called back with an update as he repeatedly promised.  Apparently in the UPrinting world, 1 day turnaround = 3+ actual days.  On top of all this they short shipped me on the envelopes, so I had 200 invitations and only 162 envelopes.  It's unacceptable.

Sorry UPrinting, you just lost a customer!

I cannot believe the hassle this company has put me through. It's a shame too because after I found them on the internet I was excited to find they were just a few blocks away from me. I won't be returning though, not a chance.

    First the good:
Simple to use online system (or so it seems)
    Pretty good prices
    Lots of printing options

    Now the bad:
    Terrible, terrible customer service
The most aggravating hold message I've ever encountered (.5 sec of music, then "Your call is important to us", .5 sec music...repeat)
    Borderline scam "free proof" option
    Do not return calls

    Now my experience:
I set up my order online, then chose their free proof option which supposedly allows you to receive your proof then decide whether to order or not. As I was finishing the required me to enter my credit card info... that's weird but ok, must be so I can quickly approve the proof, so fine I enter the info. The proof got to me in about 3 hours... great. The colors are really faded, so I call in and ask what the deal is. Apparently I submitted in RGB format and it should have been CMYK which resulted in the color issue. So I decide to cancel my order while I figure out how to switch to CMYK on my end.

At this point I realize my credit card has been charged the full amount. I call back, and customer service says they can cancel but it will cost $15... but what about the free proof? Apparently since I entered credit info (no other option), I was a paid order and they refuse to give the proof to me for free. After arguing for awhile, the lady says a manager will call me the next day about giving a full refund.

Next day... no call. So I call them, now they've refunded all but $4, but refuse to give me the full refund (apparently a 5% charge for the proof). I again explain that I ordered with the free proof option, the lady checks with her supervisor twice, and refuses to give me a full refund.

So at this point they can have my $4, and in return they get this wonderful review from me. A little customer service would have gone a long way. Maybe they're having technical issues with their site, I don't know, but all they would have had to do was give me the deal they are advertising on their site and there would have been no issue. Is it really that hard?

Just picked up my first order of business cards with UPrinting. It's great that they have the in-store pick-up option since I live in the area. The business cards came out exactly the way I expected them. The color was right on and the overall quality is good for the money. I will be ordering rack cards from them next.

The printing fees here are on the low side, but the quality is extremely poor. I ordered a canvas print, and the ink started to smear and rub off so there are now white splotches all over the canvas. I also paid for 2 day shipping and it took 4 days to get to me. I won't be using them anymore and would not recommend them.

I ordered 1000 business cards from U-Printing because they are really cheap.   I paid $20 for the business cards, but because I needed a two-day turnaround, I had to cough up an additional $6 or $7, but I used the Yelp coupon code (see above) so I was able to get the cards for under $30.  The cards actually look pretty good, but U-Printing needs improvement in several areas:

    1. Wait Time: It seems that this place is constantly running behind schedule.  I was told that my cards would be ready by the end of the day on Friday (they close @ 7pm), so I dropped by around 4:30pm to see if they were ready.  They weren't, and I was told they'd be ready by the close of the business day, so I told them I'd return around 6pm or so to pick them up, at which time I was told the cards would be ready "closer to 7pm." Damn.  Oh well.  I headed to UCLA to go for a run to pass the time and came back around 6:30pm to get the cards, but they still weren't ready.  I ended up receiving the cards at 7:27pm, 27 minutes after they closed.

    2. Customer Service: I was one of their calmer, more collected customers.  Here's what I observed when I was there: Several different people -- at least three -- were irate with U-Printing because they'd driven across LA to pick up their print job only to find out it wasn't ready.  One guy -- whose girlfriend incorrectly assumed she would be picking up her print job -- yelled "Thanks for ruining our night!" as they stormed out the door.  Another lady who drove across LA with her mom/business partner/associate complained, "You guys have the WORST customer service!  Seriously!" Another guy and I just made snide remarks about the wait time, but we did agree that we liked U-Printing's cheap prices.

I suppose this place is GOOD if you aren't on a tight deadline, but if you are, order here at your own risk.

One of the managers contacted me regarding my negative review and apologized for my inconveniences.  Not only was he helpful and considerate, he also gave me a discount code for my next purchase!  I feel extremely honored to have had the boss contact me and be conconcered about my experiences. He also gave me his personal email so I can report any other malfunctionnings. I am going to place my next order real soon and we'll see how that goes!

So I'm changing my rating and here's why... Although our initial experience left a terrible taste in my mouth I am re-rating Uprinting for the following reasons:  When we spoke to their customer sales rep we asked that the manager call us back so we could discuss the issues we had with their service, but how many times does that actually happen? Well the manager did call us back... listened to our complaints and asked us detailed questions so he could send our notes  to their web design and usability people.  I won't go into details but he worked with us on the shipping costs and then went out of his way to help us with any other promo materials we might need in the future. He also gave us his phone number n case we had other problems. The cards we got need some adjustments (on both our end and theirs) and I feel like this would be one of the few companies who really listen to customer feedback, both negative and positive.

I have to admit that Uprinting really does care about customer satisfaction, and in this case I'm pleasantly surprised how far this business will go to rectify their mistakes.

I just received a 11x14 stretched canvas that I had ordered from UPrinting.  The quality is awesome and the image is crisp. Their pricing on prints are also and this is coming from an amateur photographer that has used various sites to print photos. Customer service can't be beat as their response is quick and honest. I love how they show you the proofs before you submit your final order, so you know what you're getting.  Customer Service is 5 stars, Price is 5 stars, and the Quality is 5 stars.
