1 review for Upper Deck
There are not many bars in Euless that I find even worth reviewing, much less recommending. Its just not a town that is suited to them.
However, the Upper Deck has managed to upgrade the floundering former Irish Pub and make it work. Its just a neighborhood bar with a great patio (the Deck of course) and decent service and food.
The deck solves the extreme lack of space its earlier incarnation suffered from. The buidling itself is a small U-shaped, unattracive commercial building perched on an incredibly narrow and steep hillside lot. Building the deck out over the near cliff between the building and Trininty Blvd's traffic was an inspiration. You are high enough to dampen the traffic noise and pollution, while the view is more of trees at eyelevel than cars and trucks. To add to the layout, there is often live music. Thankfully the owner also choose customer comfort over and easier set up, by placing the stage at the far side of the deck from the entrance.
The menu is fairly typical of small DFW bars, but better prepared than some; wings, burgers, steak, shrimp, nachos, etc. Tthe drinks are cheap if you get the specials and reasonable if you order something else.
And unless the weather sours, the crowd indoors is bearable without tripping over each other.
