Review from Robert D.
Knoxville, TN
This chain started as a pizza restaurant in the 40's in Chicago. They opened a second restaurant also serving pizza about a block away a few years later. I started eating their pizza some 55+ years ago always ordering the same cheese, sausage with extra tomato.
They later opened restaurants around the country and we are fortunate that we have one in Maryville. They have broadened their menu a lot beyond pizza but that is all I go there for. After all the years their pizza is still the same as the first pizza I ordered in Chicago.
The pizza is made in a deep pan. Their crust is different from any other pizza I've eaten. The tomatoes are not tomato sauce but sliced up plumb tomatoes. Delicious.
Their pizza is a bit pricey but worth the extra cost. I usually wait until they have a $5 off coupon offer in the papers but not always. The urge often overcomes me even when I don't have a coupon. BTW they call my special pizza their Chicago pizza. -

I love the deep dish pizza. We discovered it first in Myrtle Beach, SC. Now every trip to Gatlinburg requires a stop for Unos Pizza. It is a restaraunt like Applebee's with a full menu.
