Universal Studios Hollywood is the best amusement park with transit access. Unfortunately, it is on top of the hill, and it is a long walk up. Otherwise, cross the street and wait for the Universal Studios tram to save the hike.
Connections: Metro Rapid Line 750, and Local lines 96, 150/240, 155, 156/656 and 224.

The platform is pretty chilly and may not seem like the cleanest place on Earth but that is to be expected with an underground area hundreds probably pass through everyday. The trains do come regularly and with the train so fast and regular it's hard to really complain about anything.
I also like the fact that they basically go off a trust system as far as tickets go. I haven't ever had a worker ask me or see one ever ask to check for one.
Gosh, no offense to the fellow Yelper, but disregard Fred C. His advice doesn't point out that even though, yes, the famed Universal Studios Hollywood and Citywalk is up an enormously steep hill... but there's a free shuttle that comes every fifteen minutes I believe. I've only been up once but it was enormously convenient!
You can drive up too and there's garages up the wazoo there... but wouldn't you prefer the shuttle? The nice open shuttle full of people marveling over the wonder of Universal Studios? I do! I do!
But aside from that, the review should be on the station. Itself is rather dirty but like all station it incorporates some art and style to its walk and talk... there are always employees on site, and the ticket machines are easy to find. Elevators during rush hour are occupied by lazy people as per usual who can't handle a flight of stairs... but it's a great station because it's so occupied so you don't have to worry, ladies and gents, about being alone on a platform all by your lonesome.
This station also has free parking and a loading zone! Amazing!
