Ordered food during the pandemic. First off, the online ordering/pick up process was easy and efficient. The food was tasty and just what I was hoping to receive. We had burgers, mozzarella sticks, fries, and chicken fingers. The chicken fingers were particularly good! We cannot wait to visit Union Jack when we can dine inside the restaurant.

I so terribly miss the cozy Speedway Union Jack's. We patronized the pub for almost 40 years and decided to visit Union Jack's in Broadripple. Parking was a breeze, and we walked right in and sat at a high top table in the bar. There is lots of wood in the restaurant and more of a rustic decor. It isn't as warm and cozy as I remember when the restaurant was across the street.
We were hungry and excited to try the food. A sign on the table said scan the QR Code for the menu, but we asked for real menus. Great selection of cold draft beer and a full bar.
The menu covers the normal pub food with lots of vegan options throughout the menu, appetizers, soups, salads, burgers, wraps, and sandwiches. The house specialties offer fish and chips, bayou pasta, grilled salmon, and queso mac & cheese.
I was excited to see Pizza from 7" personal pan to a 14" pizza. Your option of crust is traditional, thin, gluten-free, stuffed pizza pie and my favorite, Indy style deep dish.
I can't wait to return for a deep dish pizza.
My husband ordered the Italian beef sandwich with french fries and really enjoyed it.
I ordered the Cajun Chicken Club with a grilled chicken breast topped with bacon and pepper jack cheese on a grilled brioche bread. My side was a cup of navy bean soup topped with cheese. The bean soup arrived as requested before the sandwich. The soup was extremely good, with a thick topping of melted cheese. I was disappointed with the dry, overcooked chicken breast and extremely crispy bacon. I feel like the bacon is my fault because I didn't specify no crispy bacon, and many people prefer extra crispy bacon. The dry chicken breast was overcooked to the point of no moisture. I know I should have returned and asked for a do-over, but we didn't have time, so I never mentioned it to our server.
Our server was the bartender who was very friendly and personable. She checked on us often, refilled drinks, and checked us out timely.
I will definitely return with friends to share a deep dish pizza I've been craving. I wish it was more comfortable with cushy booths, but we'll pick better seating on our next trip.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 13, 20241 check-in
I was here with part of a group event of 75 people and service was still top notch! Food came out quickly and staff were very friendly. I ordered...
Heart shaped personal pan pizza ($12.50): for the month of February, the heart shaped personal pan pizza donates $1 to the Love, Broad Ripple nonprofit organization that supports small businesses in Broad Ripple. The pizza itself is fantastic!
I would sure like to come back without a group event to see how the place is normally, but I would imagine the space is very relaxed with still very high quality service.
Parking is available on the streets, or the nearest parking garage is the Broad Ripple garage by The Vogue. There is no private lot with the Union Jack, or at least not one that is very well marked.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 4, 2024Updated review
Just went back to Union Jack, they were playing a soccer match my husband had to watch...ok with me because we have some fantastic beers to try out and ordered a small pizza to split and it was delicious!! I have to say I love pizza and the crust, toppings cheese were a perfect ratio.
We sat in the bar and our waitress was very attentive and had some great recommendations on beer.
The cozy feeling of a pub on a cold gross day made everything better! And we may have stayed for and extra soccer game just to continue enjoying the cozinessHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Sep 8, 2023Previous reviewThis place has a great outdoor space to people watch on Broadripple Ave. The inside is very much pub vibes and it is a great place to catch a soccer game! Lists of choices for beer, haven't tried one I didn't like.
The service is great and the food is top notch!! - Apr 16, 2024
Really enjoyed my meal at Union Jack! This is a local spot that's casual and cozy with good quality pub fare. There's a large beer, wine and cocktail selection with a good amount of non-alcoholic options as well (I opted for local kombucha). Our table shared an artichoke queso appetizer which was quickly eaten up in just a few minutes. I'd heard this place was a hidden gem for vegetarian options which can be hard to come by for classic bar food, and the menu did not disappoint! Instead of picking between a few typical options there were so many items that looked great to me. I ended up trying the Impossible Philly and it was delicious. Can't wait to add Union Jack to my regular Broad Rip restaurant rotation!

While I'll always enjoy the original across the street they still have a darn good pizza. The malted crust with that sweet Napa sauce with giant Italian sausage, oh boy!

I tell everyone that Union Jack is by far the best place for a pint of Guinness in metro Indy. It's always poured perfectly and always tastes fresh. Others around town either don't pour correctly or their Guinness sits awhile cause it never tastes as good as hear. Recently tried the wings, they were delicious. The WeWhoo sauce was good and the wings were big and juicy. Definitely not your average bar wings. I'm so happy this place survived Covid then what seemed like endless construction on broadripple Ave. definitely one of our favorites and we always bring visitors here for a least a drink. Service is always prompt and friendly.

Union Jack Pub is mid. Not in a bad way though. It's just ok. That goes for the service and ambiance too. Ordered pizza, wings, mozzarella sticks and fries. Not worth a special trip, but a decent option.

I have to say I was disappointed with the pizza's we received from Union Jack Broadripple. They had so much sauce on them it was hard to taste anything else. We ordered a cheese pizza that you saw more red sauce on the pizza than cheese so the quantity of "cheese" needs to be looked at.
Breadsticks are just frozen sticks I can get at walmart, nothing special there.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Stacy J.Indianapolis, IN213277857Dec 8, 2023Updated review
First of all... PLEASE, GO SUPPORT BroadRipple businesses even with the construction that's been on going!!!!
We went to dinner a little late, and still got great service! Kevin was our server, and he knew his menu and made great suggestions with food and beer.
We had the Italian sausage pizza, a cheese pizza, and an order of buffalo wings. Plus a few beers.
Food was great as always.
Service was wonderful.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

ChelseyJan 3, 2020Previous reviewChild Birthday Party excellence!!!
We attended a child's birthday party and had so much fun.
We were all in the west half of the restraint and had all of this area to ourselves.
First we were welcomed and waited for friends to arrive... and had a table for setting gifts... Then the children were moved to the south end of this area where wait staff had set out a pizza dough for each child. They then spread the sauce and added choice toppings (2 meat and cheese options). Once those were finished them swooped them off to be cooked.
Children were then moved back to the north end as staff cleaned the south end and were shown an apron they could decorate. Just as the south end tables were cleaned, then moved back to them to make aprons.
This all moved SO smoothly!
And appetizers were available at the far north end table and then pizzas for adults were also added.
Then came out the cooked personal pizza the kids had made. They ate. Then gathered back at the north section for cake and singing... and ate their cake at the tables to the south...
Sorry if this "north" and "south" is confusing... but I just wanted to elaborate the smoothness fo the flow from one attraction to the next. And how having this whole section was very functional!
We had a very good time, love the food, and enjoy the friendly staff and crazy atmosphere (also note the new decor!)!Dec 12, 2016Previous reviewBusy night, and we took our kids... but yet, the service was still great. Got a seat right away, I think it was the last open table at the time, woo hoo! It is clean, yet feels very pub esque with wooden floors and Irish and other decor.
Appetizer ordered: Bavarian Pretzel Stick, aka pretzel breadsticks with cheese... and DELICIOUS! Along with Elysian darken pint!
Then for dinner (not just all for me, but since I tasted everyones... here is what we all got):
Italian Beef - spicy, but tasty
Coleslaw - good, but not our favorite... picky here, I admit
Tenderloin with Kaiser bun - not a huge tenderloin like you get at most places, but thick and tasty!
Potato Salad - yum
seasoned fries - again, yum
Italian chop salad - VERY good at first, but after awhile, way too salty with the items within
Fish and Chips - great, crispy
Service was quick and efficient at first... was delivered the wrong kids meal at first, but quickly remedied with the correct items. Towards the end, seemed to wait a little more for service and then for the bill.
Overall, fun place that allows mom and dad to be at the pub and have the kids in tow as well!!
GREAT!! THANKS!! - Jul 4, 2023
Union Jack Pub has always been a Broad Ripple staple for me! Their deep dish pizza is so good! This time around I had a breaded tenderloin and a salad. The tenderloin had amazing breading. My son had the kids pizza and fries which were also delicious. Our server was kind and friendly.
My only complaint (and this was my fault) was that the paper menu didn't have prices. My bill seemed way to high. When I got home I got online and saw the online menu did have prices. After totaling everything up, I believe I was maybe double charged for an extra kids meal or they had already included a tip. I couldn't tell because they use a machine instead of a paper receipt.
Mistakes happen and it was my fault for not asking for a paper receipt or looking online while I was at the restaurant. Just something to be aware of.
I'll still return. The pizza and tenderloin are too good to miss out on!!!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
