This place is a fantastic eatery if you are in the mood for ice cream or coffee. The ice cream is some of the best I have ever had and I know that because I did not get an upset stomach. Some ice cream brands make me feel nauseous and sick. Not here! Udder Heaven's ice cream is great! Go next door and have a good breakfast in the morning or have some BBQ ribs for dinner. Right beside Udder Heaven, they have a bagel and pastry shop. Try the coffee and a bagel. It's a short drive from downtown Bar Harbor, please give them a visit.

Holy cow, ice cream.
Cannot go wrong with the selection of flavors - there is a little bit of everything! Hard ice cream, frozen yogur t, soft serve, italian ices, and all sorts of sundaes and shakes are available.
I only had the hard ice cream this time around. First, I had to get the Maine Blueberry ice cream. "Udderly" (ha) delicious, with lots of pieces of blueberry in it. It was so good my husband had it twice, but for my second visit I ordered Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip frozen yogurt. It was divine. Nice berry flavor without being too sweet.
I loved the fact that this place was only a few minutes from where we were staying, and directly across from Pirate's Cove mini-golf. It was hard not to stop here when we passed it every day on the way to Acadia.
Note: Bay Gulls Bagels and Maine-ly Meat are also at this location, and although I cannot speak to the quality of those establishments, the parking lot always had cars in it. -

Udder Heaven's ice cream is utterly heavenly!!! Simply the best ice cream I have ever had. I got a small dish of chocolate walnut with peanut butter sauce & Reese's peanut butter cups on top. It was almost too much.
They also serve bagels, breakfast sandwiches, donuts & muffins --- all homemade. The staff was super friendly & pleasant. You can order 'take out' at their outside window or eat in in their very clean indoor dining area. -

My bagel literally had an entire pack of cream cheese on it. I was driving and it was a huge mess trying to scrape off 90% of it. Yuck.
