I've always been a firm believer that 2 is the perfect number, not 3.  They say 3 is the magic number.  It's the three-peat, the hat trick, the turkey, the menage a trois.  They even say the most stable stance is with 3 points touching the floor - the tripod.  But three's a crowd.  There's always that unwanted third person that ruins it all, whether it's a date, a split buy one get one free deal, or an epic one on one championship game.  There's a reason it's called one on one and not Juan on dos.  Also it's all because of that #3 that the term "Middle Child Syndrome" exists.  Think about it.  If that third one hadn't come along, that middle child would still be the baby, and she would have gained her parents full and unconditional love.  Then, she wouldn't have grown up with major daddy issues and become a stripper out in Vegas.  All because of that #3.  Ok well that last one actually turned out to be a good thing.  Damn she was flexible...

...Anyways as I was saying, 2 is the perfect number.  Especially when opening a business.  Three and you get 3 different opinions, 3 different agendas, and the business inevitably fails.  But with 2 it's all good in the hood.

That's why I had a good feeling about this place, I knew it would be good.  And it was.

For weeks this place popped up on my Yelp app since it's literally just down the street..  I had always thought about giving it a try, and after one of my coworkers recommended it, I did.

I've always loved a good lasagna, and on one lazy Sunday afternoon I was jonesing for some of that good ol' meaty cheesy pasta cake.  I called in ahead and showed up 15 minutes later, and there it was, waiting for me in that deep dish pan, all hot and steamy, ready to be devoured.  I got it home and I dug straight in.  Well they didn't give me any utensils or napkins, so I grabbed a fork and paper towel from the kitchen, and then dug in.  It was good.  Not the best lasagna I've had, but still pretty good.  It wasn't as meaty as I'd hoped, and the marinara was a bit too simple.  Yea I know, marinara is the simplest of sauces as far as Italian sauces go.  But I would have liked it a little more complex in flavor.  It just tasted straight out of the can, in my opinion.  But overall it was good.  Especially for the price and the amount I got.  The best lasagna I've had was from this Italian market in LA, but that's Los Angeles.  And this is Oceanside.

So, for the location, the price and the quantity...it was worth 4 stars.  I'll definitely be going back to try some of their other offerings.

I dunno about the pizza... and sure one day I'll give it a try...

but... I come for the cannolis!

Mmmm... when I open that lil' styrofoam box that holds my two cannolis... excitement brims as well as my saliva... Beautifully sprinkled with powdered sugar and overflowing with yummy cream and chocolate chips... yes... that is me sitting in the parking lot... scarfing those crispy shelled puppies down and making sure nothing is left behind... no shame... no shame whatsoever!

    Three words: they don't skimp.
I don't mean that in just portion size either, but quality too.  If I pick up any kind of take out for my family, it's always here.  The pizza and pasta dishes have always been well prepared and never second rate.  Even the salads are satisfying.

Everything here is good. The Giuseppe sub is my favorite, and for about ten bucks it's enough for two people. What I consider good pizza is as follows: well cooked but not burnt, not greasy on the bottom, not under cooked so that its doughy, and definitely more cheese than sauce.
Two brothers is all that. The topings are always fresh, and the ovens are always hot. Nothing ever seems to go wrong for me there. Even on a day when I'm baked out of my mind and the room is full of uc cops. No one puts down a slice once they've started eating. Without a doubt, the closest pizza spot to my house... Needs more stars.

Two brothers from Italy, is way better than most.

I enjoy their pizza and they have decent pasta as well. The service is usually always fast and friendly. There really isn't much more to say.

If your thinking of trying, its a safe bet for sure.

Fabulous little find, thank to who? Thanks to you....yelp! Without yelp, sometimes I think I just might starve!

    Saw the 4.5 stars on this little strip center joint and figured I'd check it out. Here's what I found;

*Hearty portions of Italian food with thick red gravy(sauce).
*Nice antipasto salad with delicious dressing
*Cheese pizza slices, thin and delicious
*Chicken parm....yes I will as a matter of fact

This was a nice little authentic place (although I did not see any two people that looked like brother's from Italy) but I did see Juan and what may have been his cousin Jose and his sister Anita. Who cares right? If my brown brothers can make the food as tasty as these invisible two bro's from Italy, more power to them.

Going back soon, you should too.

I've tried this place a few times, and never been blown away by their food.

Their pizza is pretty greasy and their pasta is really heavy and over-sauced.

However, their calzones are DELICIOUS! (I love getting it take out to go home and watch a movie!)

They are a little on the expensive side but you get a LOT of food. Definitely your money's worth!

The dining area is a little dated and small, but still good for a night out with the boys. Every time I have been in there, there has been a little league/childrens sports team in there having a blast.

Their service was a bit on the slow side, but there was a large group in there. The employees were warm and welcoming, which was nice.

I'd definitely go back for a calzone!

Came here for a quick dinner this past Thursday night.

Ordered the chicken alfredo with tortellini (added chicken), side salad and an order of breadsticks.  Note to anybody else eating with a party of two:  You don't need breadsticks.  The order of breadsticks was for about 6-8 people.  It was huge.  No wonder the guy at the counter gave me a funny look when we ordered it.  Side salad was very simple (lettuce/tomatoes), but it fresh.  The tortellini was tasty, as was the Alfredo sauce.  And it came with a side order of bread.  Yeah, it was bread overload at the table.

I'll go back and try the pizza next time out.  Every time they came by I felt like stealing a slice.  It looked pretty good.

Okay. The only reason this has two stars instead of one is bc of their sub. The meatball sub was great... better than subway. Now the bad part.... service horrid. She looked miserable... it took 30 min to get the pizza and pasta. Now the pasta came wrong. She didn't even fix it. She just gave extra sauce.. and the pasta was drenched. It was gross so was the sausage. The pizza was okay. The last pieces get soggy.

Umm come back for the sub only.

Born to an Italian father, I know and appreciate good family style Italian food.
My family and I have been customers of Two Brother's From Italy since they first opened their doors. Giovanna has been an exemplary example of excellent food and service from the first days.
The Pizza is authentic, don't stop there, everything else is truly Italian kitchen cooking. Lasagna, Baked Ziti, Spaghetti and meatballs, yummy. A fun place to eat with good beers on tap.
Top class food at a very reasonable price.

When I come to this place, I usually order a few slices of the stuffed pizza (which is amazing BTW). But i wanted something more filling last night so I figured that I would get something a lot bigger while maintaining the "stuffed" mentality. I opted for the Meat Lovers Calzone. Here is why my review for this place is semi-low.

    1. The wait time for the calzone was 35 minutes.
    2. It costs 13 bucks.
    3. Too much dough. Ingredients were somewhat stacked inside so ingredients weren't really cooked thoroughly.
    4. Employees were eating and drinking behind the register. Literally in between customers. They don't wash their hands in between bussing tables.
    5. I have yet to try their famous Sicilian, but their pizza as a whole is not the best pizza around. It's decent.

Although I love the convenience of this place being on the way home and easy slices of pizza for lunch, they need to work on a few things before I come in again.

Two slices and a drink (or a salad) is what it's all about!   When I'm hungry and just have to have a couple really good slices, this is where I show up!
They've a 3 shelf warmer near the register so you can see if you are up for a NYC, Sicilain, or if you are extra lucky, a stuffed pizza slice.  Most times they'll just have cheese NYC slices ready but they'll top them with additional toppings and stick them back in the oven for a little extra I think.

Their calzones are huge and the Sicilian square pizzas will stuff you, but their most impressive work is the 28" pizza that gets everyone turning their head to watch as you carefully take it out the front door.  NOTICE, I said be CAREFUL because there's not a lot of room for clearance and you'll mash your fingers if you hold it wrong.  But it's so worth it when you take one of these big things home and see the family go "oooh" and "aaaaah" before they dig in.  Breadsticks are decent too but I've never had a sandwich or pasta because that pizza's just too hard to pass up.  That and the price of a side order of meatballs for any pasta dish is how much??  Ouch!

The people working here are always friendly and on top of their game.   There's two 27"ish flatscreens in the corners of the dining area so there's something to watch when you take a breath from stuffing your face with all that good pizza.

We first had their pizza in 1992 when we moved to the neighborhood and we've been regulars ever since. This is good, solid food with great sauces. The pizzas are always good and I have been eating their pasta for almost 20 years. I hope to be eating here for 20 more. When you want a good Italian meal where quality counts more than frills, this is the place!

The pizza here is pretty good; cheesy, loaded with stuff, just greasy and filling enough. It may not be the best, but it's pretty darn good.
What I love here are the lasagna and their sandwiches, especially the Paolo Special. No place in the immediate area can match them. They have a decent beer selection with Stone and OAW on tap. The service is not the quickest but is very friendly, especially when the owners are there (funny how that works). On the down side, I am not a fan of their salads. This is a pretty cool neighborhood joint. If you're in the area it's worth a try.

This place is way, way down Oceanside Blvd. Probably almost to Vista.
But it's well worth the drive. Their pizzas are huge, and absolutely delicious. One slice will probably feed most adults. It's just a cute little hole in the wall, perfect to stop at on the way home from work for a pizza splurge. I don't usually eat pizza, but I don't think I'd be able to turn this place down.

I've eaten from here twice, and both times been amazed at the amount of food I've gotten!  For what you pay, it's a great value.  I got the baked ziti dinner for under $10, and got FOUR portions out of it.  I love good leftovers, so this was a treat for me.  We got my husband the large size torpedo sandwich, which was 16 inches long!  He got 2 meals out of it.  Everything we've tried has been really tasty, and the restaurant itself is clean and welcoming.  A new local favorite!

The best pizza in SoCal. I've only tried pizza by the slice, but it's enough to keep me coming back. At only $2/slice you can't go wrong. The slices are a decent size, only two needed for a bigger appetite like myself.

We(my husband and I) rarely if ever give 5 stars to places but this restaurant is the closest thing I've got to my home state NJ. The pizza is great, the stuffed pizza slices are delish and their calzones are really good! They've also got cannoli's to die for. Their service is kind of slow but it's okay since the food is so damn good. The prices are good and the option to sit inside or out is always a plus!

Only came in here briefly for a slice of pizza but I would consider it a crime if I forgot how good it was. It had the perfect crunch to it and the cheese did that stringy effect like in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles whenever Michaelangelo would eat pizza. I will go back to try more on the menu in the future. I loved that it was just a relaxed joint, nothing flashy about it!

I ordered the extra large Carnegie. It had substantial meat but the crust was like greasy rubber. It was supposed to be thick crust but it was about an eighth of an inch thick. I spent the night up with a big lump in my stomach after eating. Others at the birthday celebration agreed. I think this will be my only and last visit to this place.

I used to go here all the time back in my high school days (Go VHS Panthers!). They have excellent pizza (round, pan, thin, thick, even Sicilian!) and (thank you!) even sell it by the slice. I don't know about you, but a quick slice of pizza after school always hit the spot. All the food here is made fresh and made with love...just like grandma used to make. j/k. I wish there were more pizza joints like this one!
