I had an awesome experience here. I am growing out my hair and sick of the flippy thing the ends started doing I decided on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving that I needed a cut, stat. After doing my research on Yelp I decided on Dakota and called to make an appt, fully asssuming that it would take weeks to get in. Instead, I was able to come in on that Saturday ( I assume they were slower due to the holiday) Whoo Hoo. Getting there was not so easy as the google directions weren't very helpful. I ended up being 15 minutes late but they were so accomodating and Dakota didn't seem put out in the least.

Most importantly, she not only asked me very relevant and important questions, she listened to me and told it to me straight-my hair wasn't going to be perfect since it's growing out and I'd have to work with it to not get the flippys.

To be honest, I'm not super happy with my hair, but again, that's due to the weird stage it's at and Dakota made it look ten times better than it did before I came in. I will def. be back here and I would recommend her and the salon to anyone. Seriously, I have a total stylist crush on her.

After a series of bad haircuts (one costing $60!), I'd given up entirely and just let my hair grow out for several months into a shapeless mound of bleh. I finally went to see Bethany and asked for something low maintenance and non-conservative. She bravely asked (and received) permission to shear off a good four inches of hair and went to town.

I gotta tell you, she really nailed it. The cut requires almost no fuss, looks funky without frightening the rest of the office, and has been getting compliments non-stop. I couldn't possibly be happier.

I was in dire need of some restoration in the hairdo department.  Luckily, Ashley saved the day for me.
I went to Twisted Scissors, based on a friend's recommendation, and was pleased.  I don't get fabulously crazy haircuts since I have to maintain a certain aesthetic for my work, but I was able to get something stylish without forgoing the fabulous --
And any place with pin-ups adorning the walls in the bathroom is totally a place I want to get my haircut...and...use the bathroom.
Check it out, y'all.  I have/had long hair, the cut was $40.  Pretty cost-effective and, as previously mentioned, fabulous.
A word to the wise, you can pay with your card but they only accept cash tips.  Make sure you got that dolla.

I am the type of guy who doesn't really express what I want done to my hair very well. I most likely just say "short on the sides, a little longer on top." So whatever haircut I end up with is normally my fault.

At Twisted Scissors I felt like Robin took her time and figured out a good haircut form me. She even trimmed a couple stray eyebrow hairs my wife had been bugging me about.

Overall I think this is the happiest I have ever been with a haircut. And the first time I have set an appointment with someone on purpose.

I'm not a commitment person. I can't commit to a face wash, a shampoo, a brand of peanut butter, which show to watch on Hulu...anything. I always want to try something new, on sale, closer, trendier, etc.

But I won't stray from Twisted Scissors. Consistently good haircuts four times in a row. I have thick hair that does what it wants and the stylist has always taken there time and mitigated anything that could've gone awry.

I've had my hair cut by a few different stylists there (committing to one place is good enough, couldn't stretch it to a single stylist), but they've all been great and attentive.

Like a few other people mention, its a great value and in-between Supercuts and the salons that plague Roscoe Village who want upwards of $75 to cut my hair (except Big Hair, who after a few poor cuts lost my business).

Definitely a winner.

I really really recommend this place. All the girls I work with go here, and I've had two different girls here, Dakota and Christy, both did wonderful jobs, and both were super sweet and were easy to talk to. Its really hard for me to make appointments because I work in the service industry, and my schedule is constantly changing, but I had no problem getting in last minute.

Just a heads up, when you go into a salon, don't go in there being extremely picky, and uptight.. you will not be satisfied with what you end up with me because your making the person working on your hair uptight. Hairdressers are artists, they want to know what you like, but they also want to be able to try something new on you because they want to please you. When you limit them, you make it harder for them to try anything because they assume you won't like it. And when you're paying 35$ for a good hair-cut in the city, you better be appreciative.

On second thought...

My hair is too short. Amber asked if I wanted my hair the same length as it was when I came in or an inch shorter, and I said an inch was okay. But she definitely took a few more inches off my head of hair that the back of my head poofs up too much and I look ridiculous.

I guess when I left the salon I looked and felt awesome, but without all the products and the blow-drying and the styling and whatnot, I just have really short hair. (sigh)

My wife's mother once asked her what barber shop I went to. She replied, "He goes to Twisted Scissors. It's a salon." "A salon!" she replied, with a quizzical look in her eyes. Yes, times have changed. But I haven't gone all metrosexual. They're just close to home. And Angela does a very nice job on me, even though I'm a man....in a beauty salon.

I went to this salon a while ago (it's been over a year) and what I remember was that it seemed like a cool place, but I totally overpaid for what I wanted. AND my bangs got cut too short and ended up looking like sh*t.

I would like to go back and give them a 2nd chance (since a friend referred me) but not sure if I will.

Hmmm, let me start by saying that the girl who did my hair was super nice and I really enjoyed talking with her. She also did a very nice job on my highlights/color.

I am not digging the cut though--it is waaaayyy shorter than what I wanted or feel comfortable with. I told her a few things before she cut it---one was that I am wash and go most of the time so I needed something that would not require alot of styling. I also told her I was trying to grow my hair an inch or two longer so that I could get it into a ponytail. I told her that I just wanted the ends dusted and a few random short pieces around the crown. I also told her that when my super fine hair is cut too short it sits like a helmet on my head.

Well, here I sit with said helmet...my hair looked cute when I left the salon after she styled it but it looks like crap now--waayy too short and choppy in places I didn't want layers.

Again I have to say she was super nice, the salon was cute and clean, but I am hating the cut and this will take many months to grow to a length I am comfortable with. The color looks great but I think I would rather have effed up color than an effed up cut, you know? With color you can wait a couple of weeks and fix it---like I said before this cut is going to take a long time to grow to a point where I don't hate it.

My last hair cut turned out to be very average. I asked (erm, more like demanded) layers. The hair stylist didn't spend much time doing this. The ends near the back were mostly blunt. Not attractive.

After a month of denial ("It's not THAT bad!"), I decided to get it fixed at Twisted Scissors. I didn't want to pay more than $35, and their prices were pretty affordable.

My hairstylist textured and layered the HELL out of my hair. I wanted it (bed head) messy, edgy, and summer appropriate. She achieved that look. Plus, the texturing shears removed much weight from my thick hair.

Joan Jett would've been proud. I'd like to think so, anyway.

I'm happy with my cut, but I was charged $40. Hmmmm... my appointment lasted less than an hour (I was a little late, whoops!) and the change wasn't all that dramatic.

I strayed from my salon, Robert Jeffrey, because I wanted to try a new salon. I also wanted to save a few bucks (and I was impressed by the photos of Twisted Scissors on Yelp). Yes, I'm a student/cheapskate. However, I realized that RJ offers student and first-time discount as well as online booking discount and the occasional discount through their e-mail list. Bah.

Actually, if I lived nearby I would return to Twisted Scissors, but I don't. I will recommend this salon to others, as the stylists are very talented and the vibe is totally unique!

Since my last post, I've switched stylists a couple of times. I've gone with Dakota the last three, and she is definitely my favorite. She's funny, skilled, and knows her hair. Every time I come in she greets me with a smile. Even though the staff sport some hipper, more out-there-styles than I can pull off, Dakota never makes me feel uncool -- she understands that a mom with a infant like me can't make the constant hair appointments that getting a pink dye job would necessitate! LOVE her.

I tried many different salons, leaving none of them feeling especially confident, before trying Twisted Scissors. I have really short hair, and sort of a punky hairstyle, with longer pieces here and there. Tiffany was great to work with. She was totally fine with keeping things how I liked, and understood what I meant by saying I definitely didn't want it shorter, but didn't like how it was getting bulgey in some places. Technical terms, I know. She helped me work with it when I was trying to grow it out, and when I asked for a rat tail, she shared her experiences with her own rat tails! Just the type of person I want to be cutting my hair, not someone who will try to make me look more manicured than I'd like to be.

I've gotten four perfect cuts from Tiffany and I won't go anywhere else.

The problem I have always had with hair salons is...I want something better than Supercuts, but my hair is not all that complicated, and I don't like spending $75 for a trim. There is not a lot of in-between out there. But Twisted Scissors fits the bill perfectly.

I have been going to Kristy for over a year and a half. She is always friendly, doesn't criticize the job I did cutting my own bangs, and she always does what I want (and not what she thinks I should get). If I say "an inch" - it's an inch, not three.  No one has ever pushed products on me. The vibe of the whole place is cool and relaxed, and I always look forward to going there.

My only complaint is that sometimes it takes me a few weeks to get in there for a Saturday appt....but, that's a good salon for you...

I've been going here a while now, and it's the best place I've found in the city for a haircut.

First of all, I'm super low maintenance. The epitome of wash & go. Don't even blow dry. And I like my hair short. Sometimes, this is not a good combination. But Tiffany gets it right every time, even with my vague "oh, you know, kinda short and easy, not too funky for work but still young and cute but not suburban soccer mom" requests.

I had her do color for me too, which she nailed. It looked awesome.

Even with my growout I get compliments.  Now THAT is the sign of a great cut!!

And, of course, there is the atmosphere of the place. Very funky and cool. I love that they offer you a beer or glass of wine.  I'll keep going back.

When I can get a stylist hair cut at a good price, let's just say "You had me at hello."

I was in need of getting a hair cut and being that it's summer, I wanted to chop all my hair off.  So I set up an appointment for a same-day cut and style.  I was paired up with Ruth, who is one cool personable stylist.  I had brought her some pictures and we talked through what I wanted for my cut.  She was very attentive and fun at the same time.  Ruth was just all around awesome!

At the end, I had the exact cut I wanted at a price that wasn't killing me.  I even had enough to buy some new hair products in the end.  What Twisted Scissors has is the ability to make you feel comfortable the second you step in the door.  They listen to what you want and that's the best part.

I found my new salon!

Ruth cut my hair today, and I'm so excited to finally have a stylist I can count on!
I've never looked forward to hair cuts, because I've never known how my hair will turn out.  With Ruth I told her exactly what I wanted - 2 inches shorter, lots of layers, and the weight lightened up.  My hair looks amazing!  I am so impressed with the job she did, and for once am actually looking forward to my next hair cut!  Bravo!

Love it ! Love everything about it. I was referred by a friend and decided to go since the prices were in my range. I live on the other side of town but I don't care. I will never go anywhere else.  I've gone to soooooo many salons. Too pricey, not the cut I wanted etc.  This place was perfect. I went to my first appointment with a straight cut, shoulder length bob and left with an edgy layered cut. I have NEVER loved my haircut so much.  Amber did the best job. I've been going back ever since.

After trying for five years to find a salon in Chicago, I've finally found my place at Twisted Scissors.

It's bright, airy and colorful inside, and as soon as you check in for your appointment, you're offered a refreshment. I've never had to wait long here, either.

I was in desperate need of a cut so I went to see Tiffany this past week. I have long, thick hair that grows ridiculously fast, so I'm never really sure what to do with it. Somehow, Tiffany managed to understand my mumbling about bangs and layers and taking a few inches off, and give me an awesome haircut.  Seriously, she's awesome, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a fun haircut that won't break the bank.

I think you can get your hair cut here only if a close friend personally recommends a stylist that she/he has seen and will pay you for your haircut if you hate it.

I went off Yelp recommendations and was really excited for a fun haircut. I'm about to have a baby and had some clear needs: 1) Do not give me a mom hair cut. 2) Do not give me a haircut that requires styling, because of the new baby. 3) Please give me a haircut that looks sort of cool while preserving my length.

I got the following: 1) A haircut that makes me look like an old, messy pregnant lady. 2) Razored ends and jagged layers that ONLY look good with product and blow-drying, plus one weird bang that poked me in my eyes until I cut it myself and 3) Something that's barely shoulder length after it had been mid-back length.

My husband, the nicest man in the world, suggested I go get it recut, because it just looks so bad. But I can't get it re-cut because the top layer is so short and I'd surely come out with a mom 'do.

I've never gotten a haircut this bad, this off-the-mark. I can't fix it or get it fixed. And now all of my pictures with my new baby will have this horrible haircut in it.

I am very, very sad.

Just back from an appointment with Ruth.  I'm a newbie to Twisted Scissors, though I was referred by a friend.  I've done mostly cuts/color with apprentices for the last couple of years, but wasn't particularly thrilled the last time and decided it was time to suck it up and go to a full-on stylist at a full salon.

The salon, first of all, is awesome.  Very funky and cool.  I've been in a lot of different salons in the last couple of years, and always felt out of place - like i wasn't cool enough or trendy enough or rich enough to be there.  Not here - completely down to earth and friendly.

Ruth was very pleasant - chatty but not TOO chatty - enough that it was comfortable, but not forced.  We spent a few minutes talking through what to do with my hair - and all I knew when I walked in was that "this - what is on my head now - needs to change."  She went and found a mag with some color ideas in it, and we talked through what to do with the shape and length of my hair, and she went to work.

I'm left with hair that i love - gorgeous color, great layers, and better than I hoped for.

I can't speak to cost - as i said, I've been using apprentices, so there's either no cost except tip, or a $20 product charge.  But it didn't seem UNreasonable, for whatever that's worth!

Tips are cash only, but they take cards for service.

Well, I'll be honest. I wasn't totally impressed with this place. It wasn't really even the haircut that did it.

When I walked in the girl at the front desk was friendly, but definitely didn't go out of her way. She offered me a beverage, but I had no idea they had PBR. So I passed, and saw someone else with one and then wished I'd known. I could've gotten one I suppose, but at that point I figured I'd just have to pee in the middle of my haircut anyway.

My appointment was at 5:30 and Anna came over to me at about 5:55pm. I don't have a problem waiting, so it wasn't really an issue. Especially since I only got in because she had a cancellation. I was excited to go because my boyfriend had suggested the place. (He goes here.) Anna wasn't unpleasant, but she wasn't really pleasant either. "Eh" is the word I'm looking for I guess.

She asked what shampoo I used, I told her, she gave me a vague response of "oh" and I wasn't sure if that meant I shouldn't use that shampoo or if I was doing the right thing. She asked me what products I used, and I told her, I got the same response. She told me to blow dry my head upside down for more volume. I took that advice. It was good advice. But I already do that.

The woman I was previously going to didn't want to cut certain parts of my hair as short as I'd wanted it, so this is why I tried Twisted Scissors. Anna did a pretty good job cutting my hair. I'm happy with it. But as she was cutting it, she asked me if the woman wouldn't cut it this way because she might've been afraid it would look like a mullet. I told her i wasn't sure, but if Anna thought that it would look like a mullet not to cut it that way. She just continued cutting. So I got a little worried.

Anna's one of the owners, I congratulated her on opening the shop and she said, "We've been open for 2 years now." Okeeyyy... well congrats on 2 years then? I mean... really? Congrats either way. Does it matter? Trying to be nice. It says right on her mirror "Don't be an asshole" so I was trying to not be an asshole. That's when I stopped making attempts.

I had discussed color with her and thought she did a decent job with my hair, although it is a tad mullet-y if I don't spend enough time on it, so on my way out I was going to schedule a color appointment and another haircut appointment since it's a 4-6 week wait for her anyway. I didnt know my schedule that far in advance so I said I'd wait and call back. Which was the truth.

But after thinking about it, I don't think I'll go back. I just wasn't comfortable. I kinda felt like I was crampin' her style or something.

Went here yesterday for a haircut and so far, I like it.  I haven't washed my hair yet, so that could change, but I really liked the hairstylist I got.  Alyse?  Alise?  Elise?  WHATEVER.  She was sweet and understood that I was very nervous seeing as how I NEVER let people cut my hair (my mom trims it, and I have a lady who I've let cut it before, but the language barrier makes it hard for me to go alone and my friend wasn't available this week to go with) and she eased my fears.

She asked how much I wanted off the bottom and I told her as little as possible.  When she she needed to cut a bit more I kind of freaked out, but when she showed me, it was about 2 inches (if even) and that I expected.

I've been feeling really bummy lately (because I've been going to the gym and never feel like wearing my usual jeans & tank after) and haven't been wearing make-up or doing anything to make me not look super slummy (that look works for some people...but not on me).....and this haircut was what I needed!

While I don't cut my hair often, I'm definitely keeping Twisted Scissors in mind, and definitely go to Alyse.  She really does listen and even said (when I explained to her about one lady who gave me bangs after I repeated DO NOT give me bangs) "I just don't understand when hairstylists don't listen".

Also, the sink was actually quite comfortable.  I don't know about you, but I really hate getting my hair washed when the sink hurts because the shampooing feels SO GOOD and it's ruined by a sink.  Not here.

After writing my review, I received the message below. While I'm not be happy with my haircut, it says a lot that the owner of this place personally wrote and offered to correct it (even after I declined he offered to take my name should I decide to take him up on the offer in the future). The dedication to customer satisfaction is very important, and deserves an upgrade to higher rating.

I am writing on behalf of the owners of Twisted Scissors. The first thing I want to say is thank you for your business. Every time you try a new salon, or stylist, it can be a very nerve wracking experience, and we appreciate that you gave us that chance to win your business. The second thing I would like to say, is I'm sorry that you were left with a cut that you were not happy with. At Twisted Scissors, we stand behind our work. If you are not happy, we would love the opportunity to make it right. If we cant make it right, its free. I can get you re-booked with a different stylist, or the same one, if you felt like giving her a second chance. Again, I do apologize for your less than Twisted experience. I will just need your first and last name, and I will have the receptionist call you to rebook. Thanks.

I am always nervous about choosing a salon/hairstylist, so since moving to Chicago in October the only haircuts I've had have been "drunken touch-ups" in my kitchen. Not good. So when my roommate had positive things to say about her recent visit to Twisted Scissors, I decided it was about time to man up and get a real haircut.

I called on Saturday and was able to get an appointment on Monday with Dakota. When I arrived, the receptionist handed me a PBR and I fell in love. Dakota walked up a few minutes later and took me back to her chair. We spent about fifteen minutes going back and forth about what I wanted. Dakota was nice, but she wasn't afraid to speak honestly about my hair type and its possibilities (which is something I really appreciate). I didn't come in with many ideas so we were able to talk it out and come up with a good haircut. I don't usually like to talk to my hairstylists but Dakota was very friendly and seemed very genuine. I also asked her about coloring and she talked me down from getting a full foil (which is more expensive) to a partial foil (which would be more along the lines of what I want).

The haircut was 35$, plus tip, and I'm very glad I went. Dakota was great and I've really enjoyed my experience. The cut I have is also the only cut I've ever had where I didn't have to go home, soak my hair and restyle it myself-- I think I'm going to love it.

**As a word of advice (not sure if it's been covered), you can pay for the cut/products with credit cards but they prefer that you tip with cash. Understandable.

Absolutely the best haircut I have ever had. I have been to Twisted Scissors two times now, and both times I have been extremely happy with not only the cut, but with the service.  All of the staff is friendly and fun, the atmosphere is really cool, and the prices are really affordable.

I would pay double the amount that they charge for the cuts I receive from Alyse.  She listens to what you want, executes, and then makes it look better than you could have ever imagined.

For just about every other haircut I have had in the past, my hair looks great right out of the salon, but then once I wash it and style it on my own, I can never get it to look nearly as good. I am so happy because I have been able to style my hair on my own now, and it looks almost as good as if I had it styled at the salon.

I would recommend this shop to anyone! Give them a chance! Modern, affordable and friendly!

If you're one of those people who looks for a cheap simple trim to keep your hair looking the way it's looked since 8th grade...well I'd look somewhere else.  But if you view your hair as an extension of your personality or as a canvas that sits atop that beautiful mind of yours, well then this is the place for you.

I'm a fan of artistry when it comes to hair.  For me that means leaving after spending a decent sum of my hard earned cash with a smile on my face feeling like that experience was entirely worth it .

The stylist I go to is Ruth, and if you see things the same way, you'll probably appreciate her technique as well.  She really listens to what you're thinking about, offers insight into what will work best for your hair and then proceeds to magically transform your hair.  I have seen great results by other stylists and think they are all top notch, so if you're on the market it's worth exploring the other folks that work there.

Walking in the receptionist is always friendly and offers either coffee, beer or water.  Ummm pabst and haircut? Yes, please.  The salon is a living breathing machine with stylists in the midst of clients but it never feels too loud or crowded.  I've always had an easy time getting my desires for my hair across and not only gotten the results to match (which if you're not careful doesn't always happen!) but it always looks BETTER than I even imagined it could.

Overall, this place is worth it to get that great style that makes your unique beautiful assets stand out.

I'm not a girly girl.  I'm so so bad at picking out what kind of haircut I want to get, and I'm even worse at finding a hairstylist that fits my personality.  So when I found out about Twisted Scissor, I was in heaven!
For any rocker chick or punk girl, this is the place for you.  All the hairstylists there understand the non-standard bob cut and are willing to take chances if you let them.  Which is perfect for me!  I've never had a bad haircut or hair color treatment from Twister Scissor.  They're nice, friendly, and will even throw a beer your way if you're super anxious.  Coming from the northside is bit of a hassle but it's totally worth the whole experience.

Twisted Scissors has a great atmosphere and has a consistently high level staff of people that can really do hair. I recently got an amazing haircut from Bethany, one of the newer stylists there. She cut and styled my hair into a great new style for me to rock out around town with. Highly recommended!

I decided to go to this place after seeing all the good reviews here and confirming w/ a friend who gets her hair done there.  I was a bit scared being that its a new place for me and all. But I called and got an appointment right away. My appointment was with Dakota. I was a whole 20 minutes late, and she still took me in. She was SUPER nice and chatty, and gave me a super cute cut.  She listened to what I wanted and made sugestions and I ended up with a cut that I LOVE. So thanx Dakota! You r awesome!

PS...the girl in the chair next to me, shares my obsession with boston terriers so I was very entertained looking at her BT pics.

I've gone and used Amber a few times now, saw another guy before that just once.  They are a little pricey, but I always love and get lots of compliments on my hair cuts/colors after I see her.  It's worth it to spend a little more for a great cut when you don't have to go back very often.  Amber is super friendly, and everyone in there is really nice.  Definitely recommend them for anyone looking for a great new 'do!

Thoroughly meh.  Sure my hair looks decent, but I'm going to have to go back for a cut much sooner than usual because whoever cut my hair (can't remember the name) decided to razor cut it without asking if that works for me or not.  Although being that I obviously have fine hair, you'd think a trained stylist would know that you shouldn't razor it because it makes layers look flippy and split ends galore.

Also, the reason I came here instead of my usual place is because the cash is getting tight (oh grad school!) and I figured I could save a bit.  Yet at the end she jacked the price $10 over the "starting price" anyway.  Uhh, you just gave me a simple, basically effortless haircut that took 30 minutes including styling, and I'm pretty sure you're not a senior stylist.  What the hell.

I basically ended up paying nearly the same as my usual place with much more mediocre results.  I won't be back.

This place is less than 2 blocks away from where I live, so it's about as convenient as it can get.

More than that, it's affordable, the people are great and welcoming, the decor is fun (even without the photobooth anymore) and the conversation is always a blast (lately revolving around the male cast of True Blood).  Best of all, is Tiffany.  Tiffany cuts my hair every 2 months or so to perfection.  I'm growing out my hair now, and at my last cut I told her that was what I intended and I have to say, 2 months later, there is not awkward stage on the horizon.

Awesome haircuts.

Only problem is that sometimes it's hard to get an appointment now!

I tried Art+Science & Michael Anthony, but I just couldn't justify paying $60+ for a haircut anymore.  Then, a couple friends referred me to Kristy at Twisted Scissors & I'm so happy they did.  I've been to her several times, and each time she listened to what I wanted & I always left feeling like I got a great haircut for a reasonable price.  She's so sweet & friendly too, & the salon overall has a really friendly, unpretentious atmosphere.

It's true, you might have to wait a couple weeks to get in, but unless you absolutely need your hair cut that day, I don't think it's too bad.

Simply the best and cheapest hair salon in Chicago.

Last year I went on a quest to find a cheap, non-corporate, and reliable place to get my hair cut. Yelp reviews were overwhelmingly in favor of Twisted Scissors, so I tried it out. It's fantastic: great alternative atmosphere, friendly and competent stylists, and most importantly, $30 for a wash, cut, and style. I've been to see a different stylist every time, and was very happy with all of them. But last time I saw Ruth, who I'm the most impressed with. She was much more careful with her styling than any of the others I saw and did a great job overall. There is simply no need to go to any of the trendy salons that charge $70+ for a haircut when there are wonderful places like Twisted Scissors around.

Alise rocks. I am a total control freak, but have learned to defer to her judgement regarding my hair. She suggested a better color than the one I'd picked on my own, and she talked me into bangs for the first time in my life (I'm 5'1" and have always been terrified of looking like a twelve year old). She was a hundred percent right on both counts, and delivered a sexy, sophisticated look that I'm soooo happy with. My husband digs the new look, too.

So I live extremely close to Twisted Scissors, (they are practically in my backyard) so this was my 3rd trip.  The first two times, I had Jamie, who did an excellent job.  But this last time,  I needed to get in quick before I changed my mind about what I was going to do.    So I was booked with Dakota, one of the newer stylists, and she was awesome.

I will continue probably working with Dakota, simply because she cut my hair in a way that everyone Loves!   I seriously have never received more compliments on my hair.   Even a couple of people from work, that I rarely speak (not even saying hi in the elevator) complimented my hair!

Great job Dakota!

As for the rest of the Salon, don't be scared of the biker-chick persona of the place.  This place is QUALITY!   I've always had a great wash and they are not pushy about products either.   Furthermore, they always have tea, coffee, etc waiting, should you want something.  However, that hasn't really been new to me in a long time.

Quick warning, though, they do not accept tips on your Credit Card, so make sure you bring cash for your tips!

Diadro aka D is no longer at Twisted Scissors, so I don't go there anymore.  He's totally worth the change of venue.  Hit him up at 773-619-1048.
