Being the local REC soccer Club President, I get to do a few cool duties once in a while and last night was one of them.  I got to speak at the ribbon cutting ceremony and was able to see the first soccer games to be played on this new turf field.

The Twin Ponds park was re-opened, last night, after a voter approved Parks bond to approve and turf this soccer field, among this major project, several projects and land acquisitions were included in this bond and it easily passed back in 2006.

The citizens of Shoreline have always taken into consideration the youth of Shoreline, this field is another testament to this commitment to REC sports, which are not just limited to soccer.

The Twin Ponds project is just beautiful, many of the pathways in the park have been paved and the field has a very nice sitting and viewing area for parents and fans.

Needless to say, this is a HUGE winner and worth checking out.  Along with the wonderful new soccer field, there are tennis courts, a decent size play system for the kiddos, and as Snake-girl, our youngest, informed me, this alone would give this park a 5 star rating!  Plus there are restrooms!!

Enjoy Shoreline, you done goooood....
