Review from Aziz G.

I work at Greenway Plaza, so Greenway Coffee & Tea (the official name) is just an elevator ride away. With that said, its clearly the best coffee in Houston.
The coffee is strong, but smooth, and avoids being overly bitter. The pour art is superb and the barrista's actually care about the end product.
The setting is clearly odd; its in the Greenway food court. Even finding this location has to be a challenge for folks who don't work here. Trust me though, its worth it. -

Its a shame they aren't open on the weekends. This girl sure could use a cup on Saturday mornings. But I digress..
They serve some of the best coffee here. It never has a crappy aftertaste, is served at the right temperature, and is very wallet friendly.
I love how they appropriately heat their milk for lattes and foam and such so that you actually taste the coffee... None of this scalding hot coffee that you have to quickly sip so you don't burn yourself. I can actually enjoy my brew at leisure and enjoy the actual taste of the roasted beans. Not too many places do that.
Sure, its tucked away in Greenway 3, and yes you have to pay for parking. But just ask them for validation and you're good for two hours! That's more than enough time to get your cup and a muffin (their blueberry ones are great) and get on with your day! -

Not sure what my friend Vinh was thinking, but I really don't like burnt Starbucks coffee. And I'm not going to Heights to get a cup when it's in our work food court.
Their daily drip is $2 flat, so it's a pretty good deal. Of course, there are other items to choose from.
They even have smoothies, but for some reason they are priced extremely high! -

Hmmmm... hmmmm...... the reviews here would suggest this is awesome coffee, probably ranked one of the best in Houston but I beg to differ. I'd thought it'd be on par with Catalina's or Antidote but sadly it was even below Starbucks. It wasn't a horrid cup but wasn't great either. I had the Latte like I usually get at most coffee shops to determine the quality of the shop.
So on the plus side, the baristas are very nice and friendly. They seemed genuine and liked to do what they do. Only if that was why I was going to the store for... -

Passionate baristas = amazing cup of joe. Truly the best latte I've had in H-town. Bold yet not bitter.
Park in the visitor lot and ask them to validate your parking. -

I feel like a bit of a jackass leaving the first non-five star review and was going to settle at four stars because of Internet peer pressure.
We heard about Tuscany Coffee a long time ago because I randomly followed the guy who owns it on Twitter. Everyone, including other baristas, raved about it but ultimately, the hours and the location (which was a huge mystery) were prohibitive, and we never went.
We planned to go to Catalina Coffee after a big lunch date but then I saw my buddy Audrey W.'s review and realized how out of the way Catalina was and how conveniently close Tuscany Coffee was, and that it would finally be during business hours.
First, we got lost and ended up paying $2 for parking for getting lost. So, to clarify, you have to go to Building THREE. Not FIVE. THREE. Though, Building 3 and 5 are quite close. This is past Edloe if you are coming from Weslayn on Richmond. Do not make the turn on Timmons (sp). Park in parking lot and you get validation for 2 hours.
Second, as others have noted, it is in a food court. The food court smells like a food court. If you stay in that food court for a half hour, you'll probably smell like the food court for the rest of the day. I can't stand that.
Third, the product. Which is the important thing. We both got mochas and mine tasted better than hers. So she took mine and I had the bad one, which was a little watery and a little flavorless and way too sweet at the bottom. I was disappointed but I confess I don't know too much about coffee.
Ultimately, I think Tuscany Coffee (they changed the name to something else) is good and maybe great if it is convenient for you (i.e. you work in the building or within walking distance. But I would never go out of my way to come here because 1.) I think the product isn't way better than other places and 2.) Part of drinking coffee for me is just having a nice place to sit and talk and this place doesn't fit the bill for me.
The people here seem cool and friendly but given the location and business hours, I'd rather go to the nearest Starbucks. -

This place is inside the food court (of building 3 if I remember correctly) in Greenway Plaza. Drive down into the parking garage for visitors. You can ask the barista for a parking validation - good for 2 hours.
Coffee is delicious! Baristas are friendly and make pretty designs in your foam. Worth the trek.
p.s. The closest women's bathroom is behind a secret door panel in a marble wall - press the handicap button to open the door. Pretty sweet. -

Perfection.
I would say that it is worth going to this bizarre food court to sample the amazing coffees that this little stand offers. I felt totally at home, and the baristas are knowledgeable and chatty. -

So they've been doing a few new things here lately. They've added a "slow bar", where they will brew your cup of coffee to order, either in a french press, a few types of drip filters, or a syphon (coming soon). They are also doing some roasting here as well.
They also make iced coffee, which is better than what I can make at home. They double-brew it, and brew it hot, but it doesn't get bitter. At $2 for a large, it's cheaper than Starbucks, better than Starbucks, and the people actually care about what they're doing.
I go here every day, and will continue to do so.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Love their coffee fraps.... super delicious!!

Review from Audrey W.
I'm absolutely disappointed that this place is walking distance from my office and has delicious coffee. That means any time I want to get away from the office during lunch, this will be my little getaway. This also means that I will spend money more often then I would. Who knew there would be great coffee in a food court? They are just a great as Catalina Coffee!

Been there several times, but not as frequently as I could or should. But as I woke up this morning, I figure that today, I'd go to Tuscany for sure, instead of Starbucks (I'm a big Starbucks fan). I'm trying to avoid Starbucks, because I'm not happy with the increase of the already pricey prices. Got to Tuscany right after lunch, and ordered my usual sugar cane latte. Unfortunately, the new gal totally underheated the milk. So I ended up with a lukewarm latte. Flavor was still awesome, but it was just lukewarm. Oh, and I didn't get the pretty design either, which bummed me out even more. I figure that today's mishap is the exception though. So Tuscany still deserves 4 stars.

Hands down the best coffee I've ever had. I don't know the terminology for what they do, but each cup is specially made to perfection, and the pours (of milk into coffee) are delightfully unique with pretty designs of hearts and flowers. Even a guy can appreciate the art.
I feel happy, energetic and productive whenever I order the delicious sugar cane latte. Other favorites include the mocha latte, the vanilla latte, and the cappuccino. Bill C. mentioned iced coffee - I'd love some, thanks!
Finding the place is a little tricky, and that's why I consider this place a hidden gem. My GPS got lost a couple of times, so let me give you a hint: you drive *down* to the garage. Tuscany validates parking, so you can go in, have a cup of REAL coffee, flip through a magazine and have an engaging conversation with the baristas...and split.
A word of caution: if you get hooked to this place, any other coffee (read: Starbucks) will taste like a rusty lead pipe. -
