For the $4.95 lunch special you get exactly what you pay for - good pasta, decent sauce and a chunk of bread. If you want to go out to lunch, but don't have stuffed pockets, the daily specials here should suit you well.

Drink refills are free!

There's a reason at 12:30 p.m., height of the lunch time crowd, there was no one standing in line here.  Every other food court option had a line (even the weird Jaffa Turkey place) but not here.  Only because there wasn't a wait and I was in a rush did I place an order.  Fresh Mozz and Basil pannini thing.  Sorta small and barely heated up on the pannini grill.  Ended up being a so so choice.  It was around 5 bucks and for N. Michigan Ave. I consider that a bargain.  With lack of customers and pretty limited choices, I don't see this outlet surviving much longer.  Also, it's sorta confusing when you walk in.  There's really no menu board.  They have samples of the food out and that's how you make your choice, kinda weird I thought.   The pizza on display looked old and dry.   The decor is cute and overall pretty clean.   Would I go back?  Nope!

The Tuscany café is a quaint looking restaurant at 520 N. Michigan Ave. in the N. Bridge Michigan Ave. mall.

The restaurant was attractive and had pretty good food offerings. The restaurant was decorated with thoroughly Italian décor. The personnel working there were extremely agreeable and attentive to my needs. The food offerings were punched up Italian fare. From pizza slices, garlic bread and an assortment of sandwiches, pastries and pastas.

I ate a pasta dish with a red basil sauce. The portion was impressive but I did not like the red sauce because of its tartness. I like my spaghetti sauce a little sweeter. The garlic bread was nice and the bread was fantastic. Next time, I think I'll go for a slice of pizza.

My friend had food that he thought was pretty good.  He had a calzone, stuffed with sausage, mozzarella cheese and some red sauce.

In all, it was pretty good food at a good location. I do not think it is a destination restaurant but worthwhile stopping by after a day of shopping.

The meal wasn't too expensive given its location.

Of course, this mall is wheelchair accessible. But the layout of the mall, in regards to ease-of-use for someone in a wheelchair, is not ideal..

Not too shabby for lunch in the Northbridge food court- the selection is pretty limited, but I guess that's to be expected from a food court.  I met up with a friend here for lunch today, thinking a food court would be a good choice so that I would be able to cater to whatever food mood I found myself in.  I ended up going with Italian because the sushi at one place was prepackaged and that just can't be good, Potbelly had a very long line and I wasn't in the mood anyway, and the "Oriental" place didn't seem to have that many options.  So Tuscany it was.

It seems like the Tuscany cafe on Clark has more of a selection but it could just seem that way since its a bigger place? Anyway since its a Phil Stefani, expect good food with big portions.  A pasta dish for lunch will definitely fill you up (ok maybe not someone like me but you know, normal people who aren't constantly hungry :)) My friend got a salad which was ginormous and looked very tasty.  It wasn't even crowded there, while other stops in the food court had relatively long lines.

While I wouldn't recommend this as fine dining, if you find yourself shopping along this part of Michigan Avenue, its a great lunch spot.  They do have beer and wine if you either like to drink on the job or need one while shopping.  There are plenty of tables spread out through the 4th floor so even if it seems crowded you'll get a seat somewhere, even during the lunch rush (we were there from 12:15-1:30 and it was never packed.  Overall, don't rush over here, but keep it in mind for shopping day fast food options

This is a good option for a quick made-to-order salad at lunch.  They have some good salad topping options ranging from veggies to sundried tomatoes to fresh mozzarella.  I had pieces of chicken on my salads which were, although dry, seasoned nicely.   I was not the best salad of my life but it was sufficient for a healthy lunch option.  Also the bleu cheese vinaigrette was great!  It was $8.00 for the salad, a bit steep, but similar to other options in the area.

Italian food in the mall. Not too much too expect from it. Tried the pasta. It was good.  Each dish there is about $7-10 around. The pizza is not good though. They have dessert sometimes so thats a plus. Its one of those places where if you have nowhere else to go and you're around the area you can try but not to go out of your way for.

This was fun! I had no idea they created a cafe concept for this shopping area. The food was very good, although not as good as in the actual brick and mortar restaurants.

Very convenient for some healthier and home-madey options when in a hurry.

I know this is a food court restaurant... but it could be a lot better... especially if its going to take the name of a decent full-service restaurant.

Been here twice... First I ordered the lasagne, which was over salted and oily. Yesterday, I ordered a pasta dish, which was just plain blah! There is nothing great about this place! After trying in twice and having a bad experience, I will not return!

The Portofino (sp?) Salad wasn't very good and was made with the wrong dressing. There was also a particular type of leaf in it that was extremely bitter. Plus, it was a bit overpriced for what it was, but then it is in a big mall on Michigan Avenue. The bottle of Sprite Zero was okay though.

This spinoff of Tuscany is in the rapidly shrinking food court in the downtown Nordstrom mall (technically "The Shops at The North Bridge"). The food is serviceable but I imagine it is no comparison to what is served at the full-blown Tuscany restaurants. I ate a plate of cheese lasagna that was fine and beautifully topped with shredded parmesan cheese, but its taste was not particularly memorable. Pasta, panini, salads and pizza slices round out the truncated menu. Thank goodness for the always enjoyable lemon and orange versions of San Pellegrino.

Great, fresh salads and awesome pastas. A bit on the pricier side, but well worth it. And there's always a daily pasta, salad and sandwich special. Probably one of the best spots in the Nordstrom food court for lunch.

So-so.   Food would taste better in a full service restaurant of course, but I really don't feel the effort here.  I guess the best thing to get is the salad.

I'm giving this place 3 stars because the FOOD COURT option (this yelp) is a 5 star lunch option, however the sit down restaurant is not worth it.
