Review from Anna L.

I got some amazing meet pastries here one morning. They were some of the best breakfast finger foods I have ever had. My friend who I was visiting on vacation knows how much I love trying new things and brought me here. There was a line which went quickly and we just got the food to go. My favorite was the papa rellanas or something like that. I also liked the croquetas.
I highly suggest to any locals or visitors to stop in!!!! I will definitely be going again next time I'm in Florida. -

This bakery is totally awesome! The guava pastries are a must-have. Get them with a cafe con leche and you'll be set!

What a wonderful little bakery! The pastry case is loaded with all sorts of must-try treats, including papa rellena, empanadas galore, pastelitos stuffed with guava or cheese, and other delectable goodies. Their sandwiches are delicious, with the Cuban bread panini'ed (is that a verb?) into melty toasty goodness. I've experienced one lunch item there, which I thought was interesting. It was a roasted chicken breast served with black beans and a mashed yucca-like starchy item. Intriguing texture and taste.
The mamas running this place mean business, and you better know what you want when you get to the counter. The prices and quality really can't be beat. I regularly bring a stuffed box to my lab group meetings, there is always much rejoicing. -

This place is a quick in and out pit stop. The first one is on Belvedere but I love this one on Northlake. They put in booths and tables but it is what it is, a bakery and take out restaurant.
I love the Cuban sandwiches, the Cheese Pastelitos, and the Papa Rellanos!! OOhh those are fried potatoe balls that in the center of the fried mash potatos there is seasoned ground beef that is basically heaven. I dream about the different Pastelitos. -

This is a must-stop venue for anyone visiting or local to South Florida. It is, in fact, better than most of the places I have been in Miami where there is a higher quantity of such places. Having lived in South Florida for nearly 10 years, I have countless bakeries. This one is the best in my view.
Try the empanadas and pastelitas (pastries), and do not leave without a big glass of fresh squeezed orange juice or a cafe con leche (cuban coffee with milk). It is always better to go to this place early as the bulk of the food is made in the morning, and it will be warmer, fresher, and tastier then.
If you speak Spanish it is definitely easier to order (but not necessary). -

Had it for the first time last week. En route to the UF demolition of UM in Gainesville, we stopped in and got 10 empanadas and 10 croquettes. Good eatin'. And it is perfect road food to boot.

I'm not a fan of South Florida, but I am a fan of cuban coffee. They make some of the best this white boy has had, and even offer a 92oz togo box. They have a huge selection of pastries and even some breakfast items. Prompt and friendly service with good coffee. Interior lacks some character but is super clean. If you're just grabbing a treat to go you'll spend more time looking at the deserts and coffee than anything else.
