Good taffy! And you can see the machine churning them out :)
There's a huge variety of flavors for cheap cheap cheap! And a good amount of assorted candies along the wall.
Not much to say except that Tuck's (there are two in the area, very close to eachother) is a quickie must see/taste if you've driven a fair distance into Rockport! -

This store is really cute. You can watch them as they make taffy in the other room and the staff is all very friendly and willing to make suggestions. The taffy is delicious!! They also have a lot of chocolate and other candies as well. If you need a souvenir, come here to pick it up. You won't be sorry!

Cute, fairly touristy. Lovely old taffy making machine in the front window that's fun to watch, especially with children. The penuche fudge was decent. One disappointment- they "don't do" samples, not even one tiny sliver.. And that's half the fun!

Pretty typical tourist trap candy store, although they get bonus points for being a fourth generation independently operated small business. You can find places like this in any seaside tourist destination. They all make some form of taffy and have listless teens working behind the counter dreaming of anything but making and selling candy.
I for one as a tourist salute them. And eat their taffy. -

The classic new England seaside taffy and chocolate store. MMMMMM!!
I like the one near the neck as it has a taffy pulling machine that goes during the summer. The other one up the street has the huge selection of goodies. By the way, you won't be disappointed, eat alot! -

Tuck's is a staple in the downtown storefronts in Rockport. With two locations, one more of a gift shop and the other the taffy pull/candy factory, you get a different experience in each place, with all of the varieties of candy. If this were solely ranking the candy factory, it would have four stars.
Being able to watch people pulling taffy is really cool if you've never gotten the chance to see that before, and the candy is reasonably yummy. But if you've ever had Nichol's candies in neighboring Gloucester, or tasted fudge from the fudgery up the road, you may regret buying those things from Tuck's first.
The plus side is that it's all right there in one spot, so if you're craving a box of chocolates or some taffy, there's a great selection. The taffy alone would get five stars from me, but given the other offerings it bumps it down to three. Particularly the gift shop outlet of Tuck's... the items there are generally very tacky and cheap, with a lot of 'Rockport' put on everything. (we don't have killer whales or bottlenosed dolphins), though there is a fair selection of greeting cards and an occasional nice gift tucked amongst the personalized pens and lobster magnets.
Oh! And they're open year round and make their own huge candy canes at Christmas which are delicious!
All of the taffy flavors are delicious, though. Particularly the coffee and the peanut butter/molasses. -

All we got was some fudge and toffee but they were really friendly and it was a nice looking place. The toffee is perfect. The fudge was very good but not the BEST I've ever had.

This place is sweet! (horrid pun, I know!) A great variety of salt water taffy which you can watch them make. Also super tasty chocolate turtles and other delightful confections. Definitely worth stopping in if you're in the area.

We love this place, and we stop in here year round, which you can't say about many places in Rockport. Its the perfect shop to find a small gift or card for somebody, and the fact that they have two locations is great in the summer, when Rockport suddenly gets overrun with tourists. They have a really cute selection of local photo greeting cards, with beach and ocean scenes, which is a nice alternative to sending something hallmark. The prices are also really great and they have a huge selection of chocolate and specialty candy - it makes a really nice gift. They also will ship their candy or fudge to you, and they have some "fudge of the month" club program through their website. I was surprised by this, because they're such a small town shop.

We went to Tuck's candies to buy 15 pounds of salt water taffy to use as wedding favors. The woman at the counter was very helpful and made it easy for us to get a large assortment of candy. Their taffy is delicious!

Tuck's rocky road cups have played a major role in my life for the past five years. I use them to reward myself when I do something good...or want something good to happen. Eating delicious chocolate is DEFINITELY a good thing to have happen. I have a co-worker who would refer to this as 'intentional chocolate'. Try it. Rocky road cups make life even better.

Good little candy stop in Rockport. They have great solid dark chocolate - perfect mix of bitter and sweet, and nice and solid. The fudge is just okay, a little dry and not too flavorful.

Tuck's Candy, as I live and breathe. You make the yummiest, most mouth watering dark chocolate peanut butter cups in the whole wide world. And your chocolate fudge isn't half bad either. Some would say your fudge is the best in New England. I might just agree. Of course, the option to watch this fudge being made in an unusually large, street facing window only makes it that much better.

The chocolate covered Nutter Butter was good, but nothing great. Typical touristy candy shop. Each piece of chocolate is around $1.25 each.

I have an on-off relationship with Tucks. Because I live in town, it's the closest place to get chocolate if I'm having cravings. But their chocolate really isn't anything to write home about. It's very dry and tasteless. The truffles aren't very good. But it's fantastic around Christmas time. They do candy demonstrations and let you in the store to show you they make candy canes. The thing I think Tucks makes best is their peppermint sticks with chocolate in the middle. Those are delicious. I think they sell them year round but they make a lot of them around Christmas. As others have said, the stores are family owned and the man who runs them is lovely. He's a very nice guy and good with children when they come to watch the demonstrations.

This candy shop is very good. There is a good variety of sweets at this place and they also have another shop in town if you can't fufill your sugar intake at this loccation. Only four because I asked where I could find some milk and the woman behind the counter just laughed and said she didn't know of a place. Other than that the service was good and very friendly. Defiantly stop here if your going to rock port. just don't go in the back where all the cheap tourist pet rocks and "rockport" magnets are located.
