Seriously some incredible Italian food.  The servers are pleasant to look at, the owner is funny and inviting, and actually Italian!! He works and gets involved with his restaurant when he is short staffed, and does what he can to keep his customers happy and satisfied.

They have a great lunch menu where most of their entrees are priced reasonably below the 10 dollar mark.  Try it!

If I could give zero stars for this place I would.  I knew it was a tourist spot walking in but I had no idea it would be so atrocious.  No idea if the previous reviewers have ever had good Italian but they have NO idea what original Italian food tastes like.  Chicken marsala, chicken piccata, veal parm...every stereotypical dish you could pick was on the menu.  Nothing original and hardly anything true Italian.  It was so bad I choose to go what I thought was a safe route and eat pizza.  It was so bad I could have sworn it was a Digiorno FROZEN pizza!

As for the wine list?  They had RIUNITE LAMBRUSCO on the menu!!  I didn't think people still drank that crap!  They showed us COLD specials that looked days old.  Just tell me so I don't have to create a bad idea of what they food looks like!  Never go back.

If you go on a weekend, you need reservations, otherwise you WAIT & WAIT. I have to say that a few years back I would have given this place higher marks. But, when I went back this past December I was not as impressed. We had a party of 4 adults and 3 children. We waited for over 30 minutes and after that time we were told we could sit in the bar. So, we took them up and sat at the "high tables" that were offered to us. The food is not awful but it's not super fabulous either.
They do have a nice selection of beer, wine & drinks. However, they are highly overpriced.
Maybe a weeknight is better? I probably won't be going back though.

One of the best Italian foods I've ever had. It beats Olive Garden. We went during a weekday and only waited for about 5 minutes (which, I admit, was strange because the place wasn't full). Service was prompt. We had kids in the party, and they were immediately given coloring books/crayons. Food was heafy portioned (reasonably priced) and was not as oily as I had expected. We sat outside, and it actually wasn't too noisy (again, weekday). Our waiter was attentive and appropriately funny. I'm actually looking forward to going back some time.

Located across from Trolley Square, we hit this place because it was near the theaters at which we were going to catch some flicks during Sundance.  Walking in, we saw that the restaurant had earned several Citysearch awards for best Italian restaurant and such.

The hostess was a bit strange, and wouldn't accommodate our request for a booth.. despite the fact that there were probably a total of 10 customers in this large restaurant.  We were told that it was because of the distribution of customers amongst the waiters.  Fine, no big deal.  Then the next party that she sat got a booth.... wtf.

The food was alright, but definitely not spectacular for what I would've expected out of a restaurant that was voted to have good Italian food.  The tuscan bread served before dinner was really good though - nice light and fluffy.  I had a dish that was a chicken and portabello shroom pasta with a light cream sauce... the dish should have been renamed 4 small slices of chicken with pasta.

In any case, not terribly impressed by the hostess nor the food.  I would say that I think that Macaroni Grill even has better food than this place (if that's saying much).
