This place in Milford? Seriously?
Truffles could be tucked away in the north end of Boston, or in a small hole in the wall in Manhattan. The truth is - this is good food people.
Atmosphere was great.
Service was great.
Food was great.
Wine flight was great.
This is an elegant place - business casual (though the people behind me were wearing sweatshirts and jeans and looked a bit out of place/uncomfortable). The group next to us was dresses for a nice dinner, and that is exactly what you are going to get and more.
Only gripe: small parking lot (but not enough to lose even a half star) -

I have dined at Truffles quite a few times in the past. Food has always been decent, a notch below Alicante/Tratorria Romana. Anyway, this particular Friday night was a disaster. 3 girlfriends, an exciting night out for dinner and drinks and a complete LET DOWN as far as good goes.
WINE, was fantastic. We had Caymus Conundrum...for those of you that have not tried this white delight, I highly recommend it. I am a red drinker, but I have finally found a white I LOVE!!! So good, we had 3 bottles - so yes, our bill was way over $200.
Tuna Tacos...horrible. CHUNKS of TUNA OVER COOKED as if they came of a skewer on a grill. Completely inedible, noticeable as soon as they hit the table. I cut into one and sent them back immediately so over cooked they were closer to chicken than tuna.
My meal was decent, scallops, rice and greens, one friend got the same exact thing....OK
My other friend got Risotto, when it came out, it looked like Chinese rice saturated in soy SAUCE. Risotto.........? No way..............it went back immediately. Two things back......? I can't remember the last time this happened.
Bill comes, TUNA TACOS still on the bill..........come on.......
Bill was over $200----owner, who knows we have dined there before, never came over. We caught his ear on the way out, he didn't know what to say? OK, so, you own a restaurant....get it together and apologize.......we weren't looking for ANYHTING......JUST TO RELAY FEEDBACK...perhaps this is why we can get a table at your restaurant on a FRIDAY night at 6PM, but not ANYWHERE else in town (45, Prezzo, 89 or Alicante). Your in between as I see it, customer service skills and class might STEP that up!
I hope my next trip, if there ever is one is good...........for now, this is on my avoid list.............because of quality, choice and just plain stinky customer service. -

This place is GREAT. Not suburbs-great. GREAT.
Nice room, despite mall-proximate locale. Great service from the time we entered, extremely knowledgeable and attentive waiter, jet-cold rye manhattan and first rate beer selection, food was really good. I had the spanish shrimp app and blackened cod on recommendation fo the waiter, both a home run. Other fish dishes were hits, as were perfectly cooked pork chops and lamb.
I chose this place because we needed something decent in the location, but I'd go back just to enjoy the place. Clearly care and thought in every aspect, worth a drive if you're even close. -

Had my rehearsal dinner here on 10/9 (see my mom's review below :).
We had the mushroom risotto, chicken marsala, and grilled salmon. From what I could tell everyone loved their food. I tried two out of the three dishes and they were wonderful.
Prior to the rehearsal dinner in all my communications with both Howard and Anna were nothing but professional, fast-efficient, caring and just simply wonderful. I wish I lived closer to dine there more often, no doubt my husband and I will be back at some point.
The night of the rehearsal the was flawless. The waitstaff were equally as wonderful as the owners, very attentive throughout the night without being a burden.
I would be happy to talk with anyone wanting more info about having a private party here. Highly recommend this place! -

My daughter picked Truffles for her rehearsal dinner celebration on Saturday evening Oct. 9th. The food was superb and the wine selection was fantastic. We dropped off decorations, candles and cake and when we got there everything was perfect. The waitstaff couldn't do enough for us and we just had a great time and great memories we will have forever. Thanks Truffles for taking pride in what you do and you do it well... xoxo

My wife and I have been coming here since it opened. The food is excellent and a real treat each time we go. My favorite is the filet which is on par with any of the Boston steakhouses. Staff is always friendly. Look for the wine dinners and Sinatra nights. Menu changes each month with delicious gourmet offerings.

Had dinner there tonite, atmosphere was nice the menu was promising, the service was laughable. We arrived and were seated promptly. We ordered the Lobster Crepes anf Tenderloin Bruschette as apptizers which were absolutely wonderful. We had ordered the Autumn Harvest Salad which was delicious but we had to wait over 30 minutes for it to get to the table. When the entree arrived it was one very expensive disappointment. There was a small piece of Chilean Sea Bass served with overcooked white rice and overcooked squash. The presentation was unappealing. the Sea Bass was edible the rest was garbage. The other entree was the Statler stuffed chicken. The chicken was dry, the stuffing of goat cheese and spinach was bland, the squash was overcooked and the roasted russet potatoes looked and tasted like burnt home fries. The squash and home fries were left on the plate.
The server asked how the meal was and was told the truth. The owner came to the table and offered us some different sides but we declined because we just wanted out at that point. -

Truffles is a really nice place for dinner. Small dining area and bar but it has a nice urban bistro feel to the place. The Wine flight is a must have when you stop in for a drink. The menu is not as diverse like you expect from restaurants in the area but the selections are all made well. If you looking for great food, quiet dinner and great wine then you will love Truffles.

I met friends here for drinks and apps. My wife and I shared the grilled oysters, crab cakes, and lobster crepes. The oysters were a waste of money. The garlic butter sauce and melted Parmesan was a tasty topping but the oysters were microscopic. They either need to find bigger oysters or figure out a way to not have then shrivel up so much. The crab cakes were very good (my wife liked them best). The lobster crepes were one of the best apps I've had in a long time. I'd add another star to my rating if I felt like I was getting a better value. These three app and two martinis was around $70 bucks. Still, I'd consider returning for those lobster crepes..

Best High End Restaurant in Milford. Delicious steak and the service was excellent.
