True Blue Salon
4 reviews for True Blue Salon
Fatimah made my day last week. I had a really, really rough day at work and came in somewhat downtrodden. As all stylists do, she chatted me up and I mentioned a couple details of my horrible day, and she of course sympathized. I was just there for my regular trim with her, but as she was drying me up I noticed some fancy brushwork going on. When she was done, I had big, sexy, Gisele hair. She told me that I at least deserved to feel pretty after the day I had.
This is a testament to the service I always get at True Blue. I've had two different stylists there for the last year or so, and between offering to help with my flat tire in their parking lot to this most recent example, I feel as though they consistently go above and beyond. These people are professionals and dare I say may have the right to be snobs, but are far from it. On top of that, their cuts are affordable, and they have late hours one or two days during the week.
Heads up: They've recently stopped accepting personal checks.
When I moved to Nashville I thought I would never find a good place to get my hair cut. I was wrong! I really like this salon. True Blue is very modern, neat, and clean. Seeing cut hair on the floor of a salon gives me the creeps. But, maybe that's just me. I don't have to worry about that at True Blue because the staff is always walking around with a broom, keeping the place in tip top shape!
They only use Aveda products, which I love. I could get into real trouble looking at all the wonderful shampoos, lotions, make up, candles, bath salts, and the list goes on and on. But, it's a great place to pick up gifts. Including for yourself! I actually got a friend some hand lotion from there for her birthday and she just loved it. Pretty convenient!
Each stylist keeps a card on their clients, so they know what services you receive each time. I think a good stylist should do that anyway, but here it's a must. Kim, the owner, cuts my hair, and she's great. No matter how busy she is, she always has all the time in the world for me.
I think the prices are in line with any other high end salon in Nashville. No more, no less. The staff is easy going and very accommodating. When you walk in the door they know you are there to feel good, and they do all they can to make sure that happens. Don't you just love a haircut day?!?
True Blue Salon is an Aveda Salon in Nashville, TN. I gotta say, for their price range their services are really great. You can pay as much as you want for hair care in Nashville, but I have found I am always happy with my stylist at True Blue. I get cut and color and a nice hot cup of Starbucks coffee every time I visit.
I picked this Salon based solely on the name. True Blue is a great name, I thought, 'well they sound like they don't mess around, so I'll go there.' I have been going to True Blue regularly for the last year.
The staff is friendly and professional, the stylist always takes the time to actually discuss the cut and listen to what I have to say before doing anything else.
They always give me a call the day before my appointment to remind me, and they never fuss if I need to reschedule. They are a great salon, and I like my hair... what else can I say!?
Wow, a totally professional and sharp haricut with nice people for $30!?! Thank you True Blue, and Fatimah; this was a life-saver last minute appt after the gal at my regular place had to cancel.
